I was hesitant about purchasing a WiFi based thermostat with a heating unit in an older home. It was easy to setup, and worked well with everything. Well worth the money.

I wanted to upgrade my older thermostats with ones that would allow me to control with my phone. This was extremely easy to set up, and I have been loving it! The learning feature is great, and works very well. It only took a few days before the thermostat started to control itself based on when I normally change the temperature. The interface is also very easy to use.

It has a motion-sensor, so it knows you are home or not. You change your temperature according to your needs, and the thermostat will make up its schedule according to your preference. You don't have to enter time, day, temperature, etc. It will learn on its own. It is wifi connected, so you can communicate with it over the Internet/wifi, and you can know what temperature it is set at. You can change the setting on your smartphone. It's nice! Only thing is that if the thermostat is in the room where you don't enter very often, then you will have to turn off automatic learning mode and want to set it yourself.

I purchased a Nest after reading all the reviews. I have to say it was easy to install and has been working great. The app shows several days worth of energy savings and its already using the learning feature

Bought this since my children each have one. Replaced an older programmable (not connected) thermostat. If you want to protect your privacy by restricting location, you must manually set the "home" and "away". This thermostat "learns" by looking for patterns in your home-away designation. It also has recommendations for energy efficiency. If you have regular patterns, this will effectively adjust your temps. There have been minor reports regarding loss of memory and function, however these seem to have been addressed through firmware updates. The controls are problematic if your Internet connection is dicey. Thus a strong wired primary with a wireless repeat connectivity is a must. Thermostat can be controlled manually at the wall in the event of loss of Internet, but remote operation is absolutely reliant of connectivity. This is a problem with all IoT. This can be wired to furnace/AC via a four or a five wire connection. Some thermostats require a five wire connection and many existing furnace hook-ups do not have them. Check the wires before purchase. Spent more time spackling/painting wall than installing since even with optional faceplate there was still uncovered surface. Installation w/o faceplate a more modern, pleasing look. Recognizes when you are in motion, so if themo is installed in an area where humans do not roam...

The third generation nest works great. I had the second generation in one of my homes and installed the newest version in my second home. It is great to have the ability to monitor and control heating and cooling remotely.

This thermostat is amazing. It's easy to install, as it provides all of the required documentation to turn of the power, remove your current thermostat, and install this new Nest. Once installed the setup instructions are provided directly on the face of the unit. You turn the outer rim surface to rotate to the various settings, then touch the face of the unit to enter the settings for that particular category.. That's it. I've only had the unit for about a week now, so can't tell you if I'm saving at the moment. But, do know that it's easy to reset the termperature, simply by turning the outer rim. The unit also comes with it's own application, so that you can change temperature directly from your phone. Hope this helps.

Easy to install and what a difference when it comes to using the A/C smartly and not wasting money when no one is home. Love the connectivity features.

Works well. Easy setup. The app/sync process could improve though. It initially took a few tries to get it paired.

Glad we replaced ours since the battery had finally stopped charging. Newest model seems to work better than our old one

Easy to install and you don't require a Hot wire so it was easy to replace my 1980 thermostat for this one. There is a user friendly app and I can change my thermostats on my phone anywhere In the world . Love it

This thermostat feels premium and comes with all the necessary hardware needed for the installation. Google Home app guides through the steps on how to connect various wires.

We already have a nest and I love the ability to control it from away, the learning ability of it and the monthly reports. We bought an additional nest to put in a. new property we just bought.

Comes with everything you need to install, looks futuristic, works like a gem, interface is seamless, app is awesome and can be used from anywhere. I recommend that you have some type of technical intelligence to install

I'm a total novice at anything mechanical or electrical. I watched a couple of installation videos online and felt like I was ready to go in no time! The hardest part was just getting the stickers on the wires to label them and then poking them all the way into the holes during installation. I only had to go back and push one additional cord in more but I wouldn't have known that if the Nest Thermostat hadn't done such a stellar job of identifying the fact that it wasn't all the way plugged in and letting me know exactly what to adjust. Even if it doesn't save me money on my A/C bill (only time will tell), I love the app, the ease, and the fact that I can see the temp from several feet away. 10/10 Would buy again
