I have had some issues with this doorbell. When I try to view the person at door, it states that there was a problem with video screening. It takes some effort to bypass this .

Doorbell issues and Home App issues can be related to several reasons. In the event that your doorbell or Google Home app is behaving differently, we can try the steps below that may help: - Make sure that your phone or tablet is up to date, with the correct Date & Time settings. - Check if your doorbell and Home app are both online. - Close other apps running in the background. - Sign out of the Home app and sign back in. - Restart your phone or tablet. - Uninstall the Home app and reinstall it. - Try an alternate compatible phone or tablet if available.
Meanwhile, we also suggest having the latest version of the Google Home app as it may improve your camera viewing experience, including playback controls to make it easier to play, pause, and navigate between events from the video history view. Good product works well with Google and nest product

It’s a doorbell that does what it says it does. I’m not in “wow” mode here. What can I say about that but to only give it three stars. I am not impressed. Just give me my 25 Best Buy points.

So far so good. Very easy to set up. Very good camera angle. Very good motion detection package detection. Much better than the blink camera I had or the ring camera. I had much better features
Hi ZenC, thanks for giving us your feedback about the Nest Doorbell (Battery), and we’re sorry to hear that it doesn’t last more than 2 weeks despite having the lowest settings. The doorbell can run on battery alone, but if you prefer it wired for continuous power, make sure that your Nest Doorbell (battery) is powered with wires delivering 8 - 24 V AC, and at least 10 VA, 50/60Hz. You can also connect your doorbell to a power outlet with the included or optional power adapter. Please note that the power adapter included with the Nest Doorbell (battery) is not weatherproof and not intended for outdoor use. Connecting to continuous power will keep the battery charged.
