    I have the older model case and the back that came with this battery does not fit. The battery is compatible and fits fine but I can't really use it until I get a new case.

    Bought this to extend battery life. Took it on a cruise. Filmed kids on the beach, in the water, then took it snorkeling. Still had battery life left after 2 days of use, including photos and video. Bacpac door sealed perfectly, not a drop of water got in. Easy to install, easy to charge. Great addition for your GoPro Hero 3, 3+ or 4.

    AMAZING improvement over the older BacPac. Holds true to claims of an increased 15% battery life over previous generation BacPac (1260 vs 1060 mAH). I got a 35% increase in battery life! I tested it on a GoPro Hero 4 Silver shooting with LCD off (of course because of the BacPac) at 2.7k 30 FPS. Without a BacPac I have tested it 3 times, the average being 1 hour and 33 minutes. With the new BacPac I was able to get 2 hours and 57 minutes before the camera shut off. This is almost doubling the original battery. GoPro claims I should get 3 hours so I am well within what is expected. I tried this test again with the older BacPac (the AB-PAK301) and got 2 hours and 27 minutes which is about 35% less. Definitely a great improvement!

    As indicated the battery BacPac mounts perfectly to the camera body and does what it should, provide additional power to keep the camera going. The BacPac charging port will charge both the on board battery as well as the BacPac.

    This will extend your battery life on go pro for those long periods between charges. Would absolutely recommend, nothing worse than missing an awesome experience due to a dead battery.

    This is a must have if you're going on a long trip. i am using this on my Gopro hero 4 Silver. I probably got an additional 2 hours on it. the cool part was that it does home with 3 different extended back door that fits the case..
