I purchased this battery bacpack to extend my recording time. I like the fact it included a waterproof battery backdoor.

Unfortunately I was unable to use this product because the waterproof case did not fit. I am just writing this review to warn people about that. I actually bought this to use on a GoPro HERO3 that I was borrowing for an event. Unfortunately I did not know that my friend's GoPro had been sold bundled with the "dive" case rather than the standard waterproof case. The dive case is a little bit larger and therefore the backdoor of the waterproof case for this extended battery would not close or seal. The dive case has metal rivet-type protrusions right around the lens, so if your camera happens to have been sold with that housing, don't buy this extended battery. Otherwise, as far as I know, it would have worked fine.

For the price. It should double your battery life.

Got this BacPac to extend the battery life in the cold while skiing, and felt that it worked well. Was able to get a few hours of consistent use with the wifi on.

This battery pack comes with extended doors and the external battery. It will give you an extra 50 to 60 min when shooting in 1080P. In addition it does have a lcd visor showing the battery status. When the extra battery is depleted, GoPro camera will automatically shift to the internal battery. I recommend it for people doing water activities in which change batteries is not possible.

GoPro battery typically doens't last very long if you are continuously using it, so having an extra battery pack is a must to ensure you capture all of your action shots.

Put simply, the GoPro battery BacPac essentially doubles the continuous operating time of my GoPro Hero4 Black. When recording continuously, this allows the battery to last just about as long as a 64gb card can hold. This is important for my applications because I like using my GoPro as a "Set it and forget it" backup camera without worrying about having to change out the battery.

I decided to go and try this backpac baterry. I use my gopro hero4 silver on trips and dont really have time to recharge. This battery backpac last about 1.5 hours longer than what i would regularly would get. It's worth getting if you are using for any water sport activities, that way you eliminate replacing the regular small battery, and possibly getting your device wet.

As anyone who has a GoPro 4 Know the battery doesnt last that long especially shooting in 4k. This helps give you some extra time to capture all the fun

This product is simply amazing!! It has more than double the use of my GoPro hero 4 battery. My kids love all the action this camera has to offer and this bacpac battery helps me keep the action rolling without stopping to charge. I would definitely buy this product if you are as adventurous as I am. A must buy!! Thanks GoPro for the amazing products you supply!

This camera will make you do stuff you wouldn't regularly do. It will make you try new things and you'll enjoy capturing all the action on the GoPro

GoPro burns through the batteries like crazy. If you try to film in 4K with the standard battery, well let's say it will be a really short video!

Need this for the tough mudders I'm sure!!! The original battery is only 2 hours max. Still need to get more familiar with the battery life.

Works as advertised. Used with a painter's pole and diy mount mod to do extended wide angle filming above the crowd for school spring performance of Disney's the Lion King. Able to shoot entire performance with wifi cooking, and not have to mess with swapping batteries mid performance. Used free capture app to frame the shot when I initially set up the pole, and start and stop recording. Now I just need to solve the audio problems... but that's another adventure not for this post.

This product receives my approval and I have noticed no defects. It functions exactly as advertised. I would recommend this product.
