Solid action camera with a few drawbacks
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A good action camera with a few drawbacks. Battery life isn’t the greatest but the video quality is definitely amazing. I needed a camera with good video quality and stabilization to use on hikes and this fits the bill. Just make sure to be wary of your battery life, and you may want to buy extra batteries if you want to use it heavily.

Excellent Action Cam
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent entry into action cameras. I use it for various outdoor activities and have also used it for Timelapses at night as well. The quality is impressive for such a small package, and it feels very durable. I’ve taken it in the water, know it will handle the rain, and the accessories are endless to customize my camera for whatever adventure lies ahead. Would definitely recommend.

Go pro A bang Bang
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The GoPro Hero 10 Black is the company’s most recent addition to its action camera lineup. I’ve had a chance to spend almost eight weeks with the camera to find out if the on-page specs translate to real-world usage? Here’s what I loved about the Hero 10 while using it in my day-to-day life and short travels. The GoPro Hero 10 is much more responsive than the previous iterations of the camera. When I reviewed the Hero 8 and Hero 9, one of my biggest concerns was usability. While the functionality was amazing, the usability was not. Well, no more. Thanks to the new processor, the GoPro Hero 10’s usability is as good as its functionality. GoPro has finally done justice to its camera. Navigating through the interface feels on par with my iPhone’s camera app. The new camera was a joy to use, thanks to a more responsive interface. Amazing photos and slow-mo You might judge me for this, but I captured more photos with my Hero 10 than videos. As a challenge, I used only the GoPro device (and not my iPhone 12) when I went on a short trip to a craft bazaar called Delhi Haat in New Delhi. The GoPro Hero 10 can shoot full 23-megapixel still photos, and the results are impressive. In broad daylight, the Hero 10 captures bright and detailed shots with good dynamic range and great contrast. I loved using it as my main camera for photos. The super-duper slow-mo 240fps videos at 2.7K are also stunning. Speedier transfers “GP2 was specifically created to level up GoPro camera performance and cloud connectivity,” says GoPro. And it translates to real-life usage. I was able to transfer the 200-plus images that I had shot before I finished lunch – that’s a much better speed than the Hero 9. For the first time ever, you can also plug your GoPro directly into your phone for 50% faster uploads to your device. HyperSmooth 4.0 “[Hypersmooth 4.0 is] by far the best digital image stabilization I’ve ever used, and it truly did deliver results comparable to a mechanical gimbal in many circumstances,” reads our Hero 10 review. And, it is definitely the best in the business, in my opinion. Hypersmooth 4.0 allowed my footage to appear stabilized when I was running or even riding onmy back – holding the camera in my hands. You get no noticeable jitters, and the footage is usable for fun Instagram content. Moreover, you can use Hypersmooth 4.0 in 5.3K30 and 4K60. as well as 2.7K120. Plus, GoPro has worked on the Horizon Level tilt limit to increase it from 27 degrees to 45 degrees. It allows you to keep the horizon level till your camera turns more than 45 degrees. New hydrophobic lens cover GoPro Hero 10 front view. Andy Zahn / Digital Trends At the time of reviewing the GoPro Hero 9, I went on a trip to Mulki, India, near Mangalore, to surf. While surfing, you need to mount your camera at the front of the surfboard to capture unreal shots – waves forming over you, that superhero-landing pose on your board, and more. When I transferred the video to the Quick app on my phone, I noticed that the exact frame when I had my “unreal shot” was tainted by a drop of water. I haven’t gotten a chance to go surfing again, but I’m thankful for the new hydrophobic lens. It is going to get you those shots without any hiccups. And you won’t need to worry about a water droplet spoiling your shot. Backward compatibility with Hero 9 accessories One of the best parts of the GoPro Hero 10 is that it carries the same design as the Hero 9, despite the improvements. This translates to backward compatibility with Hero 9 accessories, especially the battery. On that Delhi Haat trip, I was in luck that I had my Hero 9 with me, so I was able to swap batteries when my Hero 10’s charge had run out. You can use all the Hero 9 accessories with your Hero 10. Quik app To make the most of your new GoPro, you need the Quick app, which ought to be your private content feed. It lets you use 25 filters and 18 royalty-free music tracks as standard. You can subscribe for more content with unlimited access (the subscription is worth it). Two things I hated GoPro Hero 10 tripod. Andy Zahn / Digital Trends The GoPro Hero 10 is the best camera yet from GoPro. But not all things will leave you satisfied. Here’s what I didn’t like about GoPro’s latest offering. Battery life One of the issues I’ve had with GoPro cameras is with their battery life. The camera doesn’t last the desired amount of time on a single charge. While this makes sense for GoPro from a business perspective — sell more batteries alongside the camera and thus, earn more money — it leaves the consumer frustrated. In my usage, when I was clicking pictures, it lasted me around four hours, despite me turning it off when it wasn’t in use. If you are recording videos, especially when shooting in 5.3K, you will require more than a single cell to get things done. Lowlight photos GoPro claims to have improved lowlight images with the help of the new GP2 processor, and the results are indeed better than onthe Hero 9. Theoretically, the new processor equips the sensor for local tone mapping and 3D noise reduction in its video algorithms. However, the results aren’t comparable to the lowlight photography of a modern-day smartphone. The images shot in low light are grainy with unwanted noise, and there’s a lot of smoothing.

GoPro 10 vs 11
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GoPro 11 has a slightly larger 1/1.9-inch sensor. GoPro 10 has a 1/2.3 sensor GoPro 11 allows a 8:7 aspect ratio, so if you want to crop later for different social media platforms, then that is an added benefit. GoPro 11 also offers 10-bit video for those who do color grading. For those who own a 10, it probably isn't worth upgrading. If the 11 is on sale for just $50 more, it's better to go with that. If you're not going to be doing much edits and on a budget, the 10 is perfectly fine. GoPro 10/11 has an amazing stabilizer. The lens can easily twist off to attach different filters. The negative about GoPros are the battery life is terrible; it's less an hour. If you're going to capture memories on a trip, you DEFINITELY need backup batteries/charger.

GoPro Hero 10
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: compact, easy on the go shooting, great for traveling, ease of use, great quality videos/photos. Cons: various expensive add-on equipment. There are no direct slots on the camera to input external mic, light, etc. Extra batteries needed as battery drains within 1.5hrs of shooting. Does not recognize third-party equipment (batteries, mic adapter). Add On Items: these are suggestions to help with ease of use and upgrading/producing quality content. The GoPro will work without them (excluding memory card). - Media Mount (to add external equipment): $80 - Mini SD Card (must use v30 type & min 128GB): $33 - Extra Battery & Battery Charger Port: $50 - GoPro Lens Protector:$20

Simple but not necessarily easy to use.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple and waterproof. This was a great tool to give the kids and let them have fun. Interface is simple but not necessarily easy to set or navigate. The intuitive use of the quick on & record feature is nice but Lead the family to believe that the battery wasn’t charging. The quality of the image and mic are decent. Haven’t tested in low light yet. It’s a good extra camera and great quality for a young person who doesn’t want to drain their phone battery with video.

GoPro 10
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used GoPros for awhile since the 4. My last gopro, the battery swelled and bent everything inside. For continuous recording, my gopro will overheat in about 20ish minutes and shut off. I lowered the settings and it would still overheat around the same time. The camera shoots great video and the audio comes out clear. Since my last gopro 8. Now you can zoom in at 4k. Before you could not. And now you can shoot in 5k. What was a bummer is the accessories did not interchange with the 10. If I use the camera for short bursts, I have no problem with overheating. Good action camera, the video is very stable when I'm not.

Great camera
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the camera is phenomenal. I've used it for several videos, from time-lapse to 5K. The only reason it is receiving four stars is that it did not come with a protective case and because when it does have the case on, it does get hot, in which case, then it will shut down. However, this has only happened when utilizing the fully enclosed case and mounting it to my windshield. The camera itself is great quality, easy to use, and of course, fun to use.

Go Pro 10 Review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The GoTo is small and can fit many places to carry around with you. The pictures in general are clear and crisp. Videos are in high detail. However, after sunset the picture quality decreases immensely. Even during twilight when it is still light out somewhat. I didn't care for the fact that you can't zoom in while taking a video.

Perfect 10
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is a capable and impressive continuation of the Go Pro product line. The Hero 11 & 12 are newer but the features of the Hero 10 such as its 5K & 4K video resolutions and other capabilities are still very relevant at a lower price. Mine is used for in-car auto racing and underwater scuba videos using the specific underwater housing. My only complaint was initial overheating when shooting at 5K for 45 minutes but that was resolved by full formatting the micro SD cards and filming for shorter intervals. The rear screen controls and Quik app menu connection/controls are a great improvement over earlier operating systems.

New HERO10 works well in low light applications
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased to use in an unusual way: indoors, low light application, with the camera staying stationary. As others have noted, for extended periods of recording (in this case, over an hour for each continuous shot), the camera gets extremely hot. We set the resolution to its lowest setting and FPS. It performed very well for what we were trying to shoot, other than the excess heat that it generates, but that is to be expected for a sealed camera with very little air flow around it. For the majority of shots that are only a few minutes in length, or if used outdoors and on the move as it was intended to be used, it performs extremely well.

Great Cam
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome Quality. I use the Hero 10 for long-form shoots with a hardwired connection. It seems they have fixed the overheating problem on this generation as my previous go pro used to always overheat. Great Picture and ease of use.

Exceptional Performance: GoPro Hero 10
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The GoPro Hero 10 is a stellar action camera. With its impressive 5.3K video quality and HyperSmooth 4.0 stabilization, it delivers smooth and clear footage even in challenging conditions. The 23MP photos and improved low-light performance are also noteworthy. The touchscreen interface is user-friendly, and the camera’s battery life is solid. If you’re into action-packed adventures or simply want top-notch video and photo quality, the Hero 10 is a fantastic choice.
