This handset was merely ok. The screen is not nearly as sharp or bright as the pictures might indicate, but that's not a deal breaker since it's only used to dialing or configuring settings. The deal breaker was a constant high pitched noise from the headset. Comfort is subjective but I did not find it comfortable to hold in the hand. Ultimately this handset was returned BUT we did keep the Ooma to use with our our handset.

Works well but no one can ever hear you when you talk through the speakerphone option. Otherwise great alternative to normal home phone service

I am clueless as to why I didn't switch to Ooma years ago. The service and handsets are absolutely fantastic. Ooma Premier is definitely worth the cost. I am still saving $300 per year. No more robocalls, as clear if not clearer than my old landline.

The ooma VoIP is convenient and can be used as a home phone/office phone. The photo feature on the handset display is cool.

The Ooma phone is great to use with the Ooma service if you don’t have another cordless phone to use with Ooma Telo.

Already had one Ooma handset; added this one to replace a Panasonic handset that kept cutting off conversations. I really like these handsets, as well as the Ooma system.

This review is about the Ooma HD2 cordless phone, and not the Ooma Telo which does a good job. Audio quality when making regular phone calls with the Ooma HD2 is noticeably inferior (somewhat muffled, less crisp) compared to the existing AT&T CL82311/CL82321 DECT 6.0 cordless telephone handsets we have in the house. I was really surprised. We ran an A/B test swapping out the Ooma phone for the AT&T phones. In both cases we used same Ooma Telo box to connect to the PSTN via our 105/20 Mbps Internet connection. Would really have preferred to go "all Ooma" and use the cool features in this phone, but the voice quality difference makes this a non starter. Using this handset to listen to the canned Ooma voicemail sounded great by the way - so it would probably work significantly better than the AT&T handsets for the Ooma to Ooma case - but most of the people we call aren't on Ooma. It's really a frustrating problem. Our Verizon cellular voice quality from our home is significantly better than either of the VoIP systems (Ooma, Comcast) we have used. The only reason to have a "landline" is for use by visitors who don't have a mobile, or who have a mobile but have poor connectivity to their provider from our home. Conclusion: Keeping the Ooma Telo, and using our existing wireless handsets. The Ooma phone is going back today.
