Great tv for the price. Very good picture. Upscaling of recorded OTA tv shows is a weak point. It's best results are 4k hdr shows hdr10 more so than Dolby. The showroom display is hdr10 and showed what it could do optimally.

The best TV for the money

I was looking for my first new TV in over 10 years. I spent months researching for the best buy but money came second I wanted quality first. Hisense has the best of both worlds. A near perfect picture and only $950.00. The step to OLED was too expensive and the HG9 got as close to OLED as possible. I am thrilled. If you are looking for a great TV and your budget is under a thousand dollars look no more. Hisense HG9 is your best buy.

I’ve never had such a large tv. It’s got a beautiful picture and that’s what counts for me. Audio is not a big thing for me from a television. I use stereo equipment. My main complaint would be the “storage”. I purchased one game on the game store and it ate up almost everything and then I would get constant warnings about lack of memory. Anyway, it’s smooth, clear and so pretty. I definitely recommend.

Great picture quality and I like the black levels. The Google TV interface is very responsive. I haven't tried this yet, but you can also play games through the Play store. Currently having issues streaming Disney+ through the Google TV interface. I hope to see a fix soon. No issues found with the other streaming apps.

Pros Great Color, Great Sound and easy to use. Cons: unable to download Roku, google will pop on occasionally although I have not set it up, sometimes it will interrupt a show because it thinks I spoke or ask for a movie

Picture is awesome! The best thing I like is the ease of switching between Netflix, TV, YouTube etc. by using the voice commands. No need to press buttons for input and multiple steps to change what we’re watching. They have shortcut buttons too.

LOOK, this is a great TV. The color and the blacks are really amazing. This is a $1200 TV for less that 1000. I know Hisense? I never thought I would buy a Hisense. But I checked many reviews and it was receiving hi marks. My only complaint is this 120 hertz screen does not have one HDMI 2.1 input. If you are worried about the name Hisense just remeber when you had never heard of Samsung, Vizio or LG.

It's a great TV for movie viewing. It's blindingly bright when those HDR highlights hit and the local dimming tech in this is approaching OLED black levels. I always thought I need an OLED TV to get that black level I get on my phone and tablet but it turns out, this indistinguishable to your average user. Maybe it's because the brightness of this TV is so high the contrast creates that illusion.

I just bought my TV this past weekend. But it’s going back this week! I LOVE the picture and how easy it is to use. BUT hooking up my soundbar via Optical Digital, regardless of which sound Ouput I choose (PCM, DD, DD+,etc) it sounds compressed and horrible. I then hooked it back up to my 2012 plasma and it sounds normal. I even bypassed the Android TV and used my Roku Ultra but same issue. I’ve heard complaints that maybe the audio is not being ‘passed thu’ but being Processed. Some are having the same issues even when connecting via HDMI ARC. I can’t live with crappy sound from my soundbar as compared to an 8yr old TV. Hisense has everything right but this issue. Unit is going back. I’ll spend my $1000 another time. :(

My previous Flat screen Samsung 55" was purchased at Best Buys in 2009. It still works but was not a smart TV and frankly my eyes are developing cataracts and I wanted to larger screen. The old one in 2009 cost about $2000.00 and the new one that has lots of new technology and is Smart with lots of other features is great for half the price.

Been enjoying the TV very much, punches above its weight for the money. Very bright, great picture. Some of the auto-settings needed to be adjusted but could easily find youtube help on these minor issues. Speakers are excellent for a TV - almost too loud...rarely have it over a 15 out of 100. I'd recommend based on price.

Recently purchased the Hisense 65 H9G TV from Best Buy. Had Geek Squad come out and mount the TV. Turned on the TV and Wow, the TV pops with color. Gorgeous TV especially for the price. Watched a lot of reviews on YouTube and this TV is as advertised.

This TV has an extremely bright picture, to the point that you have to turn down settings so you won't go blind. The setup was fairly straightforward but not without difficulties (particularly with the Android setup; the Alexa feature is hardly worth the trouble). More annoying is the unavailability of the full manual (it is not even available on Hisense's website, though the TV setup screen tells you that is it; I contacted tech support and was assured the manual would be emailed to me - it never came). Still, this TV seems to be well worth the money, and generally I'm very happy with it.

The tv is phenomenal! Completely blown away by the quality! Two big negatives though, the tv has a 120hz panel, but does NOT have any inputs that support 120hz! Which is my mistake for not double checking, but I bought this tv wanting to play the new Xbox on 120hz I can’t do. The other big negative is you can’t turn of “hey google” which is overly sensitive and will trigger anytime the tv or anyone in the room says anything remotely sounding like the phrase. That being said the picture quality and colors heavily outweigh these negative aspects.

For a tv prices under $1000, the HiSense H9G definitely checks off a lot of boxes. Packaging made the tv easy to set up, the built-in Google Assistant is very easy to use and convenient (being able to stream my Nest Hello on my basement tv with just a voice command? Feeling spoiled), and picture quality is great. The audio of the tv is actually pretty solid on its own without a soundbar. The border of the screen is nice and small, something I've liked about Samsungs over the past few years. One negative I have noticed is that the apps tend to be a little buggy at times. Less than a week in, the YouTube app would play only the audio of a video, but not the actual video. A quick reboot (unplug power, plug back in) fixed this, and app updates might come into play in the future, which is not exactly a fault of the TV. Overall, I have been pretty exclusively Samsung up until now, and this TV has not disappointed- especially for being under $1000.

We've found this to be a great TV. I did a lot of research, and this one seemed be a good value with the features of a higher end TV, for the price of a mid-tier. I took one star off because there are some gray spots that show on some content (dirty screen effect?) They're not too distracting and I'm told they're supposed to go away with use. The Best Buy delivery was super easy and convenient. When we were looking for a TV, the free delivery is what's what really sealed the deal to purchase from Best Buy.

This tv is a great budget tv. Picture quality is amazing when watching movies. But I ended up returning because I wasn't happy with the picture quality when in game mode it just didnt look right to me but the input lag was really good and responsive. Other than that if I needed a tv just for watching tv I would have kept it. If you are looking for a great QLED tv for watching tv and movies I would recommend it.
