Once you get this home, you will fall in love! You can’t beat the picture or refresh rate at this price, it’s almost illegal. I’ve had Sony and LG tvs and they haven’t come close. I kept looking online for reviews (only had 5 here when I purchased it) and it’s a hidden gem. Trust, you wont be disappointed. Only recommendation: make sure you have a soundbar because the audio speakers are the only thing i could find as a con, and its not the worst but it makes a difference.

Upgraded from a 2019 TCL Q series, which IMO os still a good tv. When we unboxed, it was so easy to set up the google tv. And the picture is amazing. PS5 looks stunning. For 700 this is a steal!!! For a 75in 144htz tv.

One of my tv died, so i figure it's time to retire my cheap hisense r6 model to secondary and replace it with a high-end qled 120hz tv... Found this to be the cheapest with these features and i can absolutely see the difference!!! Much better color and details and picture quality is much higher at motion. Absolutely worth the price

It seems that Hisense makes advancements in its TVs every year, and having owned three of them since 2019 I can attest that they are quickly becoming the budget manufacturer to beat. Their latest QD7 model continues to push the envelope of their QD-LED technology, and somehow drives down the MSRP significantly compared to their budget offerings in this size class in years prior while increasing the feature set…this is a *144Hz* panel, on a 75” screen, for a $749 MSRP. By spec sheet alone this is impressive, but diving in further I found the TV does live up to the numbers while making hardly any noteworthy sacrifices. - Unboxing and Setup Make no mistake - this is a large and unwieldy TV. You will absolutely need an assistant to help complete assembly, so plan accordingly. The QD7 is well-packaged and should endure most freight carriers’ handling - an updated package design from prior sets makes unboxing an easier affair overall without compromising screen protection. Once laid down on a table or other firm, protected surface, the feet attach easily to their indents on the bottom of the TV and are keyed to avoid swapping legs inadvertently. Two options for feet spacing allow wide (52”) or narrow (21”) spacing for most TV stands, or you can use the VESA mounts (spaced 400mm x 300mm) on the rear of the TV for wall-mounting. The most significant update from the 2021 U6G I reviewed is that HiSense has chosen to replace Android TV with the updated, streamlined, and much better performing Google TV OS. Setup with an existing Google account is incredibly simple - once signed in, you’ll walk through a few basic setup questions and preference settings, and you’re off to the races. It’s hard to overstate how much of a step up Google TV is from Android TV; any updates that were occurring in the background were unnoticeable, and the OS’s performance is extremely snappy with no apparent lag on the QD7. - Connectivity & Control The four HDMI ports on the QD7 are split so that HDMI 3 & 4 are version 2.1, accepting a 4K, 144Hz signal, while HDMI 1 & 2 are version 2.0a for up to a 4K, 60Hz signal. HDMI 1 acts as the eARC channel for connection to a soundbar or compatible home theater system, which will allow you to use the TV remote for volume control. A composite port handles legacy connections (though I would have loved to see component support), and a TV tuner with coaxial input allows for over-the-air broadcasts without the need for a separate breakout box. Two USB ports provide up to 1 amp of 5V power (one port will provide half an amp), perfect for powering an antenna amplifier directly from the TV or connecting an external storage device. The TV’s audio output is mirrored through an optical port that supports Dolby Digital (bitstream) and Dolby DTS. All told, connectivity is quite good, and indeed my QD7 functions as the de facto receiver for my home theater. For internet and wireless connectivity, an ethernet jack (I believe Gigabit) complements 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi, and bluetooth 5.3 is supported for pairing wireless headphones or the voice-enabled remote. A single power button situated directly below and behind the center of the screen allows for input switching and power options without the need for the remote. - Picture & Sound Quality The biggest surprise coming from the 2021 U6G to this QD7 is just how far the screen quality has advanced while the price has fallen. I am unsure if this panel is VA-type or IPS as it exhibits pros and cons of each. Unfortunately true specifications for this display are sparse as the model is very new, and as of the writing of this review the product has not yet launched for retail sale. Debuting in Hisense’s high end models for 2020 and trickling down to midrange TVs a couple years later, their “Quantum Dot” technology has progressed massively, pushing QD-LED TV performance to greater heights while remaining eminently affordable. As I understand the technology, Quantum Dot is a different way to reproduce color through an LED panel, using a crystalline film rather than a traditional RGB filter to present light at a more precise nanometer wavelength per-pixel. Hisense claims this technology allows for over one billion colors to be reproduced (from sources presenting 10-bit color detail) with precision at a significantly lower cost than OLED panels. Whatever the case, the QD7’s color reproduction and peak brightness are exceptional at this price point. HDR calibration with a PlayStation console revealed a peak brightness close to 1000 nits (9/10 peak brightness setting), and the response time and color accuracy are both very strong. Regardless whether the source is HDR or not, I was consistently amazed by the color depth on display even on the “Standard” preset. Absolutely no color banding nor bleed is present, allowing for an incredible level of detail to come through on 4K sources. Supporting up to a 144Hz signal rate on HDMI inputs 3 & 4, I connected my gaming laptop with 120Hz output and found an incredibly responsive image. With low-latency mode enabled, ghosting was so minimal as to be unnoticeable at couch viewing distances. Input lag is low enough that competitive gaming is viable for all but the most frantic, twitch & reflex-dependent titles. Using this panel as a computer monitor is a pleasant experience, and a proper R-G-B subpixel layout means TrueType hinting works flawlessly. There had to be some concession to hit the QD7 range’s MSRPs, and to that effect the built-in speakers are some of the worst I’ve heard in quite some time. Lacking bass, tinny, and creating a sort of reverb sound effect, I equated the sound quality to communicating through two tin cans connected by a string. Plan to use ANY sort of external sound system with this TV…even a $50 soundbar will blow the built-in speakers out of the water. Additionally, there is ever so slight backlight bleed around the edges of the display, which appear to be from manufacturing variances where the plastic housing is pressing slightly against the edge of the screen. These are hardly noticeable except in a dark room, however, and you would have to be looking for them to notice. - Google TV Supporting a wide variety of apps from the Google Play store optimized for use with a TV and remote, Google TV is a very user-friendly, feature-rich operating system for a smart TV. It’s extremely customizable and adaptable, and performs admirably even on low-end smart TV hardware. The experience here is great. Powering the smart TV functions is a MediaTek MT5896 chipset employing an ARM Cortex A73-based CPU clocked at up to 1.4GHz with 2.5GB of RAM and 18GB of internal storage (16GB free from a factory reset), with a Mali G52 integrated GPU. This is a recent chipset specifically designed for use in smart TVs, and its performance powering Google TV functions is nothing to sneeze at. Not once did I encounter any appreciable lag or delay accessing Google TV menus or switching between apps. As a Google TV, thousands of apps are available from the Google Play store to customize your smart TV experience. Streaming and news apps work great, and some unconventional apps open up unique experiences. For example, I connected a couple bluetooth controllers and set up classic videogame emulators for use directly on the TV, and a streaming app let me play PC games on my desktop on my TV over the local network. You can also sideload apps that aren’t available on the Play Store over USB if you want to tinker, or plug in a hard drive full of videos to play directly on the TV through a media player app. Google TV is just as user-friendly as it is deep and customizable, so there really is something for everyone here. - Bottom Line The fact that this TV has an MSRP nearly 30% lower than its 2021 model in the same segment, while bringing an objectively better screen and vastly improved smart TV experience to the table, is proof positive that Hisense refuses to rest on its laurels. This screen easily matches top-end TVs from years prior without breaking the bank, and is worthy of being the centerpiece of a home theater setup. Besides the weak speakers, my only other criticism of the set is a chunkier, more plasticky feeling to the outer casing and legs of the TV, but I would be splitting hairs to call out something that makes no difference once the screen is set up. For putting the quality where it matters at this price point, the Hisense QD7 comes highly recommended!

Hisense Great budget level 4K 75" TV

Hisense - 75" Class QD7 Series QLED 4K UHD Google TV Model:75QD7N Hisense is known for being at the top of the game in large-screen budget TVs, and this 75-inch QD7 series 4k QLED TV is hard to beat. Quantum Dot Color, 4K AI Upscaler and Dolby Vision / Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, HDR 10+, HDR 10, Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) format bring impressive performance to this set. You also get the convenience of Voice remote and hands-free voice control along with the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. You can also use Google assistant with the screen turned off if you choose (There is also a switch to turn off the microphone as well as internal settings). It has full ethernet, WiFi (2.4GHz & 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.3 communication. The bezel-less design shows off the large screen without taking up a lot of additional territory. It has a full array of connectors including antenna cable coax port, two USB 3 ports, digital audio optical out, a composite video input, two HDMI 2.0 ports and, two HDMI 2.1 ports, one being an eARC port and a headphone jack. There is a built-in ATSC tuner. Under the screen in the center is a power button (which also deals with input switching), LED status lights, and built in pin hole microphone and switch to turn it on or off. The QD7 is packed well and I have included a couple of pictures. It also includes of a couple of handles in the box. But one downside is that this is a large unit and weighs in at almost 51 lbs. It is also thicker than I expected at 3.4 inches. I was expecting something comparable to my OLED TV, which is far lighter and thinner. The TV has the ability to wall mount it with VESA wall mounts 400mmx300mm, or you can use the included inverted V shaped legs which can be mounted near the edges or closer to the center, allowing for flexibility to accommodate your entertainment stand. The remote is simple and functional with self-explanatory symbols as well as a pin hole microphone. It has a large, white, circular navigation pad near the top with Google Assistant, Settings button, Switch Profile ( or Accounts & sign in) input, power, settings, Home, Menu, Return (to previous place or app) volume, channel, mute buttons, a live TV button, and enter Channel numbers button, . It has dedicated buttons for NETFLIX Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Disney+, Tubi, and an Apps button. Hands free Google Assistant (Google TV) is the smart TV platform. It covers all major streaming services and thousands of apps and services available and you can stream from your Android phone or tablet, Chrome device, iPad, iPhone, or Mac thanks to support for both Google Cast and Apple AirPlay 2. There is a browser feature and local channels as part of the Google package. Google assistant can even be setup to be used in screenless mode. Alexa is also available. The remote has a fast response time and is seamless when talking to the TV. The Google TV is extremely easy to setup. I hooked up a Set top box, a PS5, a 4K video surveillance system and a Windows laptop computer hooked to the TV. All of these work flawlessly. The PS5 had no smearing or screen tearing or artifacting and I have it to automatically go into Game Mode Pro. This also works well with the PC. With a Variable Refresh Rate of 48Hz to 144Hz, your console and PC gaming can beat any opponent that comes your way. AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Auto Low Latency Mode and Low Latency MEMC, virtually eliminate annoyances like screen tearing and controller input lag in your play. The New Game Bar lets you customize and adjust your gameplay right from your TV with your remote. I could not notice any difference in Google TV and the Set Top box performance. The Chipset and RAM on the TV is impressive with no lag, streaming delays or menu delays or delays for switching apps. The QD7 has great color reproduction with bright but realistic colors, good whites and deep contrasts. Base signals 2K, 4k AI Upscaler and 4K input showed up beautifully and the blacks are a comfortable dark grey – you would have to go to an OLED type of TV at much higher cost to get true blacks. I had no flash lighting or edge/corner bleeds. 4K movies were outstanding and the in the TV sound system though rated at 30 watts was a bit week and I feel it is a disservice if you don’t hook up and use a surround sound sound-bar with sub-woofer or a full AV sound system. With an external sound setup you have a great home theater in your room. The eARC setup allowed the controller to control my AV system and the video inputs without having to go to another remote control. I am also using Dolby digital and DTS though the optical port. Most of the surround sound bars and AV systems take advantage of this technology. I did find that a lot of the auto features of detecting and setting up sound and picture on the fly was not reliable and even had the unit switch the aspect ratio of my set top box to a 4x3 ratio all of a sudden. Though it had been working fine for several days. Other than the game mode I turned off the auto features and manually set up things to my liking. I would say you can’t go wrong with choosing this budget-friendly 4k large QLED TV. This is a great unit with exceptional picture at an excellent value and makes for the top of my list for large screen 4k budget TVs.

    Great TV for the Value

The Hisense QD7 Smart Google TV is quite a good TV for the value. It is easy to set up. I would recommend, if you have not done so previously, to create a Google account and download the Google Home app ahead of time. You will need both to have the smoothest set up of the TV, even if you are not using the Google Home ecosystem. If you do not want to use the Google TV, you do have several other connections that you can use with other peripherals. You also have the option to set up Alexa to use with the TV. Amazon Prime Video is one of the pre-loaded apps. Unfortunately, my cable provider, Spectrum, does not have an app on Google TV, so I have a Roku Ultra hooked up on HDMI 1 so that I can access their app. Otherwise, Google would have all that I would need. One suggestion I’d like to offer Hisense is that they really should look into having an app for their remote. My Samsung soundbar can be controlled by my phone; so can my Roku. My TV should have that functionality, too. I tried looking up a manual on the Hisense web site and could not find my exact model. It does come with a quick setup guide in the box. For picture quality, I have no complaints. It’s bright, colorful, and it is what I would expect from a 4K TV. I have attached a couple of photos from the store mode that is active when you first turn on the TV to try and illustrate how bright and crisp the colors are. You also have many options on how to fine tune the audio and visual settings to your liking. My Roku is capable of broadcasting in 4K, but not all programming is available in 4K. I have a screenshot of what the TV reads on the signal from HDMI 1 below. I tried testing the Gaming function with our Xbox Series S console. The Marvel Avengers game I tested had sharp graphics. There was no discernable lag in game play. I have attached a photo of the resolution here as well. I feel that the Hisense QD7 is a great investment. Picture is sharp. Gameplay is crisp. Audio is great. It has nearly all the features you want in a TV without the more expensive price tag.

Bought this TV a few weeks ago. Have owned TCL and wanted some features this Hisense had that I couldn't find on the TCL in the price range I was looking for, particularly refresh rate for gaming. Very very very happy with this purchase so far. Picture quality has been fabulous and very easy to make minor tweaks as needed. 4k games look great and the lag is minimal to none. So far, so good and I would highly recommend this to anyone. I'm not an expert in anyway when it comes to TVs and all their features but for the lay-person, I'm a fan!

75 Inch Amazing picture quality, inky blacks, vibrant colors. Mounted right to the wall with Best Buy brand Insignia Mount. Sound is awesome, my last TV I had to set volume to 72 anything past 20 on this TV in the neighbors can hear. $900 TV and I paid $550 while it was on sale plus being a Best Buy member. Overall I am happy with the picture quality, I purchased this for a larger screen for the family room and use with the PS5. It seems to only have 60hz not the 120hz as advertised. However in game mode I really don't notice much delay or blurriness. I did have to use a CAT6 cable directly from the router though, since the wifi processing was too slow.

This TV has a great picture and sets itself up at an incredible value. I'm knocking off one star because it does not play well with the xbox, playstation, and apple tv when the hdmi power on controls are on. It randomly shuts off like its overwhelmed. We've disabled the arc stuff until an update comes out.

This tv seems to perhaps exceed expectations. I bought three new tvs when I moved into my new house. This tv, a better model Hisense and a Roku brand tv. All large tvs and this one seems like it may be the best value of the three. Great interface and easy to mount because it’s not too heavy. This was handy as I mounted it above a mantle. Great tv.
