Worked flawlessly out of box. No problems so far. Plenty fast for all but the geekiest nerd or nerdiest geek. Big clear screen which is great since I don't rock a desktop. Touchpad not the greatest but it's not annoying either. Probably more than I need but loving it

I absolutely LOVE this laptop! The touch screen is a definite bonus. I love the keyboard back light, especially since I do most of my work at night while the mister is asleep. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good laptop with a great amount of space.

I purchased this HP Envy to run Medical 3D Rendering Software. The Nvidia Graphics Card has performed above expectations. Windows 10 is a breath of fresh air having used Windows 8. The 17.3 inch display offers full screen view of the software I primarily use. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my purchase. The Best Buy associates that assisted me were quite patient dealing with all of my questions, and allow me to test drive the display model in the store. This is my second HP laptop, and have had zero issues with both. Highly Recommend!!!

It is first time to change 17.3 " HP for a month. Everything is new for me. I was used 15.6 HP Pavilion DV6662 for 9 years. It was slowly processer, disconnect signal sometime.. Since I purchased this on 9/2/15 last month with printer together, everything I wanted it for this new HP 17.1..Faster, but scanner and copier for HP Envy 4500 all in one, I am not operated well and tried to figure out how to use. I'd like Inter I7 for my pc work rapidly but it depends on Wi-Fi area, sometime it slowly. I am not aware of HP Envy 17.3 all function, just basically I used my old computer. I'd like this PC so far, a lots of thing needs to study and discovery, but no user guide for helping and I have to figure out what's function should I need and use frequently. That's why I decided to replace my computer, and storage my a lots of volume photos/video storage/ 1TB. That's my main concerned for photos storage not for playing game. I am not familiar to use Window 10 as Window 7.. a little understanding but not quite well and many questions. I'd like Cyberphoto director, HP photo looks okey.,also purchased mouse work as well. Price is affordable to pay for under my budget. I hope this new PC can use longer more than another 8 years

I wanted a larger laptop to replace one of our desktop PC's that was showing signs of aging with disk errors. This PC was larger than one's I had owned before but I wanted a large screen for these old eyes. Windows 10 was installed and it is the top of the line processor (i7) with back-lit keyboard for those late night sessions. Lots of disk space memory and an optical drive (I record music to CD's for playback in my older car). The 3.0 USB ports are much faster for backup to external drives too. Windows 10 is much faster to boot up and my older applications still work. I like the windows 10 layout and provided apps The HP "Envy" is the top of the line series. The Bang & Olufsen sound system is great! Great office or gamer system.

This was my first new laptop in a looooong time so I did some research and decided on the HP vs the Asus gaming line. The specs were much the same but the HP was a few hundred dollars less, and while the Asus seemed more "substantial" as far as build 'density' the HP works great with Win10 and the big screen is beautiful. It's fast enough and works great with my CAD program, and Adobe Lightroom. I've no complaints so far.

I really hate getting a new laptop but I am so glad I purchased this one! Good things -Really nice design -Nice speakers -Fast -Loads of space -Love the lights on the keyboard -Keyboard keys are pretty quite -Really nice screen Bad points -Heavy (but this should be expected with this size computer and less heavy than my last one this size) -You have to use the function key to use any of the "F" keys (this could be user error but cannot find much online to fix the problem) -Space around keyboard shows oils a little bit! A great value and I am very happy with the purchase!

The computer has a nice big touch screen display to start. I love the lighted keyboard for working in dark areas or at night. There's also plenty of hard drive memory. The only problem I had was the wi-fi kept dropping connection. But I found a fix for that, which is go to Intel website and download the driver updater and it will give you the latest driver update for bluetooth and wireless.

This is what I call an oversize laptop. It was what I had chosen however, I like the large screen and Its perfect for being mobile, yet without the bulk of a desktop. Its fairly heavy due to its size but then again it was my preference for my use. It is very sleek with nice looks and screen clarity including great graphics! Downside is a disappointment with the sound. Its a decent sound system but I expected it to be louder. The speakers should had been pointed toward to you somehow. Overall its just ok for the price. Maybe a bit overpriced really. I'm an old timer and prefer windows 7 or xp. Why? its just easier to work with. Really some people don't need all the useless bells and whistles of figuring out crazy software and useless apps. I can take it back to the store, but its a keeper.

My Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet died which was a win for me b/c they never made a keyboard for it so this put me between a rock and hard place for a while. I made due b/c I refused to purchase this universal one they released 3 months ago that was awful. So I started looking into laptops before just to see if I could find a good deal. It wasn't until my tablet died that is kicked up my search and found this beauty on sale. so I used my $200 worth of Best Buy Gifts Cards and the $550 from my tablet refund and copped this. I got it home and I haven't been able to stop using it. Great screen display and the touch works well, nice design, super fast, very light and seems durable.

This is the 1st time I've used a touch screen computer and also Windows 10. I still like using the touch pad but had trouble initially. The pad is larger than normal and I had to go back to the store to learn that you touch the left side of the touch pad to left click and touch the right side of the pad to right click. Touching in the middle is similar to using a mouse. I still find it difficult to find the center area easily which is exacerbated because the touch pad is larger and flush with the computer case. My old laptop had the touch pad depressed almost 1/8 of an inch making it easier to discern the edges. Since Win AP was my last OS I was concerned about learning Win 10 but it's pretty good. Still takes a lot of getting used to but quite understandable.

After purchasing a sub par HP computer earlier this year and a top of the line Macbook Pro and returning both shortly after purchase, I finally came to purchase this beauty. I love the large screen which is very rare for a laptop now ( I'm 28 but my eyes are horrible and it truly helps), and I found the 13 inch or so screen on the Mac way too small for me. The touchscreen function is a very cool addition, it has a sleek look, comes with a disc drive (another rarity that is greatly appreciated), fast, beautiful screen resolution and just overall an excellent computer. Very user friendly and meets everything on my checklist for sure, love it!!!

The screen on this this is huge. The speed is really good, but would have preferred an SSD Drive. This system is exactly what was needed for a Business/Home laptop. Windows 10 is a good addition.

Great purchase! This is my 4th HP laptop and this one does not disappoint! It is fast and I love the backlit keyboard and audio speakers are excellent. The Windows 10 is a must have because it is much friendlier and easier to navigate than Windows 8. Excellent purchase, love the product!

I purchased this as a way to have my desktop files and programs available to use without having to go to computer room. I'm a frequent user of Photoshop and Lightroom, so the 16 GB of RAM was a big draw. The 17" touchscreen is wonderful, and Windows 10 is full of new features to learn, as my desktop is still running Windows 7. It connected with no problem to my home network, and I can now access everything on my desktop while in the comfort of my living room. Have owned many HP products, and have always been pleased with their reliability.

The screen is large, it is touchscreen or you can use a mouse as a option. This laptop is big but easy to use, good to store memories or to play games on.

I'm not a laptop person & only bought one because I travel so much. I love that the screen is gigantic. It's kind of heavy though so if you're carrying it across campus or around the office all day, it may not be for you. Touch screen is a nice plus. Windows 10 is a nice plus. Graphics & sound are excellent & Office 365 is a must have. It did shut down once & it did freeze up once. Since I'm not a techie, I'm not sure what the problem was but haven't had any other issues. So far, totally worth the price. The numeric pad on the right is heavenly.

I have owned several laptops in my life, and this one is one of the best. It has no issues. Windows 10 works fine - just takes some getting used to. Touch screen works well. Resolution is excellent. Keyboard is nice. You have to actually turn on/off the backlit keyboard, I'm used to it going on by sensor, but that's ok. I don't use the battery, so I'm not aware of the battery life. I just know I'm very happy with my purchase. Got it on sale for $899! Well worth that price.
