I hadn't bought a laptop in about 7 years, so I figured it was time for an upgrade. I did some research online, first through the Best Buy website, and made a list prioritizing what I felt I wanted and needed in a new computer. That's when I came across the HP Envy 2-in-1 touch-screen laptop, for those days when you can't make up your mind as to what you need or feel like. Sometimes I prefer an actual laptop to do my work, other days I am starting to realize that a tablet is more easily accessible. It does take a bit of getting used to at first, but with a little time and patience you will be amazed at all the options you have right at your fingertips. Recommended to all with varying tastes. If anyone could help me with one slight issue I am having. On startup lately, I have been getting an error message stating my cooling fan isn't functioning properly and it seems to run non-stop 24-7. Is there an easy solution to this? If not, I suppose I can get a hold of the Geek Squad. However, any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Following the sudden demise of my 3rd Desktop in 16 years, I was forced into the market for a New Computer. Having used desktops for so long, I went shopping for another... that is until I saw the HP - ENVY 2-in-1 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop!
Having All the features I wanted, (Full HD Display, Touch-Screen, Back-Lit Keyboard, 12GB Memory, 1TB HD and More), PLUS the Ability to Convert to a Tablet AND the Portability of a Laptop... the HP - Envy 2-in-1 quickly peaked my interest! After doing some comparisons and research, I decided to stay with Hewlett-Packard, (my 4th HP), and took this machine home. I am Absolutely Pleased and would Highly-Recommend the HP Envy 2-in-1 for your next computer purchase!!
5 weeks later and I've just placed an order for a 2nd 2-in-1. This time it's for my brother who has a 9" Tablet but no computer; in a couple days he will have BOTH in 1 machine!! ^_~ Happy Shopping!

This laptop is wonderful! I have been using it daily since i bought it in the beginning of March 2015. Now, in mid-April 2015, it still works like new. The touch screen is awesome. Very responsive and the on-screen keyboard is good too. I love the full keyboard, its very smooth and i can type my research papers in a heartbeat. What's even greater is that i can twist the laptop around to view and interact with it how I please. I got a price match from $899 to $829, so that was a pretty good deal for me. It's very premium looking for its class. I think one of the best of its class. Super fast processor, and it doesn't lag not once. Battery lasts me usually a whole day (9am-10pm) without charging. It does charge pretty fast as well. Highly recommended if you are on a budget but want a very nice, premium and fast laptop that's not large or hefty.

I didn't want a new computer, but the old one was too outdated. Thus I entered this with a negative attitude. However, I am very happy with my purchase - especially the touch screen. It's amazing how quickly I have moved away from using the mouse. It will flip to PC mode should I want that, and during the learning curve I did a time or two. Now I am able to remain in tablet and get along fine. I've had this for about a month now. I love it's lightweight and I can be anywhere and use it. The battery seems to last all right - a few hours. I like the large screen and its display - good for video & photos. HP does come with a lot of its own apps, but I ignore them. It did interrupt me to update something, but I've fixed that where now it notifies me first. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. The price is right for the product; however, I did buy last year's model to save some $$.

I absolutely adore my HP Envy2-in-1! It' makes multitasking so easy with its dual window action and web browsing is a breeze. I would recommend this laptop to everyone because it is the ideal PC, with its ease of use and all of its amazing features. Hands down I give it 10 thumbs up! I'm about to start college in a few weeks and I know it will be a walk in the park when it comes to research projects, essays, and much more; due to its intel core i7 processor. One of the features I find most amazing is the keys can light up with the press of a button, so late night searching or homework can be done with ease and no lights.

It works well and gives me the best of a laptop PC and a an ITablet. It takes a little while to get used to 8.1, but once that is done all is well. I really like the keyboard, but the touch pad takes a while to get used to. I added a wireless mouse for those times when I am doing Word work. By the way, the MS Office that I added to the machine has a quirky version of Word. The cursor has a mind of its own. I really appreciate the large memories. However, I still back up everything on an external drive. The touch screen works great, and the four modes of setup are a welcome delight. A good design!

This laptop is equipped with lots of features. It is very fast and quiet. Yes, you can occasionally hear the fan, but it isn't loud. I also have noticed the vertical lines in the screen when looking at a bright white background. I'm not using it for serious art work or anything, just home use, so it doesn't really bother me. However, for the price, I would prefer not to have the lines at all, so I gave this laptop 4 starts instead of 5. The back light for the keyboard is a nice feature. I like that you are able to turn it on and off as needed. The keyboard is very comfortable to use, and the keys are all very responsive. At times the touch pad is a little odd, but once you get used to it, it's not really a problem. Plus, I find that I tend to use the touchscreen to navigate around the screen more than the touch pad. It's kind of a dual use. I can't say much about the camera simply because I don't really use it, but it is there. The laptop is very light weight, and doesn't get warm with extended use. It is a little awkward going from laptop to full tablet mode as the size makes this process a little cumbersome once you get past the halfway point. It's not difficult, it just is large. If this was a feature I was going to use more frequently, I probably would have opted for a slightly smaller screen size, but again, for my home use, it is a non-issue. Overall, it's a great laptop, and I'm happy with my purchase.

Speed good. Screen well lit and easy to see. Easy to use and learn to get around. The keyboard seems to be not responsive as it could be. While typing, especially emails, there is a tendency to have the information disappear. Also seems to respond to a heavier touch. but my typing is not the best, so maybe not always the computer fault. I think it is god value.

This is my first laptop with touch screen and not having the mouse with the left and right buttons. The keyboard is way different than my old one. I love HP!!! Great picture, sound is good, and the touchscreen is awesome!!! I have only had it for about a month and the only thing I do not like about it is the windows 8. I hate the layout....

I purchased this computer when my Acer Aspire finally bit the dust. I use my laptop for both my business and for some gaming, and this computer does both admirably. It's fast, quiet, and the graphics are amazing! I love the touchscreen, I don't know how I ever managed without a lighted keyboard before. Well worth the money.

Very satisfied with choosing this laptop. Fast and easy to use. Best Buy did a great job setting the unit up. Purchase price was really reasonable for what you get. Had an HP laptop before and was satisfied as well. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good laptop that doesn't want to spend a lot of money.

This laptop is ok. it did not really wow me. it's still kindaf heavy and the battery life is also ok. because of it's weight, i would not recommend traveling with it or using it outside with some sun. there are glare that you'd have to kindaf work around with. this laptop still belongs inside the house.
for around almost $900, i kindaf expected more performance but the flexibility of making it a tent and a tablet is a good concept. i just wished it was lighter and make the battery last a little longer.

I bought this computer for college and wanted a larger keyboard with 10-key since I am taking a lot of accounting classes. So far, I am pleased with the computer. I probably could have gotten a cheaper model, but I opted for the i7 processor because I thought it would keep my computer more relevant for a longer period of time and I wanted a computer that could easily convert to touch screen or tablet.
The construction seems to be solid and the touch screen works well. The "Control Zone" touch pad is large and seems to work well, but it gets a little in the way at times. I seem to bump it a lot (when I least want to) and either the screen changes to the Metro or the charms pop up. It's a mild irritation that I am trying to get used to. Other than that, I don't really have any complaints. It has crashed once, something about a video driver. When it crashed, the mouse no longer worked (just beeped when I tried to click something), but thankfully the touch screen worked just fine and I was able to shut it down that way. I don't know if the crash was hardware related or software related (Firefox?), but it has only happened once.

I'm just learning how to use this computer. So far not that many problems have come up. Windows 8.1 is so different from what I've worked with, for years. The touch screen is great to work with if you don't want to all those icons on your regular screen. Looking forward to seeing what windows 10 has to offer.

Best laptop I've ever owned. Fast speed no matter how any apps I've got running at the same time. Love the 360 feature, makes viewing movies comfortable. The touch screen makes it easy to switch and scroll thru videos and music quickly.

This laptop is great! It's fast, quiet and great for multitasking. I love the touch screen design, and the tablet option is off the hook! It was definitely a great buy for my business. My other HP Laptop is still going strong after six years, and I'm sure this one will do the same.

I love this computer! It has a ton of memory and works extremely fast. When I type, the keyboard feels comfortable also. The only downside to this product is that it does not have a CD drive, but who uses CD's in 2015?

We purchased this for my son that will be going off to college but I just had to play around with it first. This thing is fast both as a tablet and laptop. It was great using it for my work which I have to multitask between programs online and off. I wish I could have this HP everyday my work would get done a lot faster.

Very good laptop, windows 8 is horrid and nice at the same time, does not plug and play with anything surprisingly but it is very nice to have a touchscreen computer, I never thought I'd have one.
