Works fine as an air print laser printer. A little awkward scanning and copying. You have to command it to scan through HP Smart app in your computer. Then if you want to copy a document, you have to scan first and then print. But this printer was $65 cheaper than a more convenient one so was worth the inconvenience. No problems so far. Other laser printers in this price range just print, not scan or cooy

Bought this printer to replace my brothers. considering the price. not bad. prints quick, scanner is a bit slow, but the software is great. Many options on what you would like to do. My only grip is that to do a two sided print job. You will have to flip the paper for the printer. the printer can not flip the paper, but can print on two sides otherwise. It also has a small foot print.

I'm pretty darned happy overall. This is an excellent little laser printer. The print quality, even with graphics, is fantastic. It boots up out of sleep and starts printing in seconds. It is located across the house from my router and has no problems maintaining connectivity.
I've not yet figured out how to get this to hook up to Alexa, but I also am not sure why I would need that.
My big complaint is the setup. I have a 2020 model Windows laptop with all the bells and whistles. Set-up was a pain in the butt. I followed the instructions to the letter, and as I was setting up, I was instructed that it couldn't be done wirelessly (even though it paired perfectly already) and then I had to set it up with an Ethernet cord.
Fast forward 10 minutes and now I have an M29W and an M28W printer installed... except I don't have an M28W. I go to print to the M28W for a test page and nothing happens. I try to print to the M29W and despite the printer being an option, suddenly it is not found.
I deleted the M28W. No luck on printing to the M29W. Then I rebooted my computer, printer, and router.
Suddenly it works fine, and it has been working great.
I would give this 5-stars if not but for the difficult set-up procedure.

HP-MFP-M29W: DoNotEnableSmart feature

I'm pleased with the HP, but don't use the HP Smart feature...if it is enabled, you can't use generic toner cartridges and the printer will just lock you out. I keep getting suggestions to enable HPSmart, and I decline every time. It's a pain, but clicking *NO* to continual warnings is a far better alternative than being locked out of purchasing refurbished non-HP cartridges.

Solid printer, purchased 2 yrs ago, still original cartridge. Sometimes, I have to reset manually to connect and reactivate the blue tooth. S/W printer does what it should be. Great for the price and value.

We use Chromebooks in the house most of the time and only use our Windows PC now and then. We got this printer for its easy of set-up and ability to connect with our Chromebooks which we use all over the house, especially in our recliners. ha Works great. I did have to get help with the Chromebook folks but now that it works so well it sure is nice. I also wanted good efficiency with laser cartridges. It appears this will also do well in that regard.

Prints fast. Wireless can take a minute to register with printer but not a big deal. Found super cheap replacement cartridges online. Took about 10 minutes to set up without directions and just winging. Scanner also takes a moment but great high quality. HP is the only way I go with at home printers. I owned a business that required thousands of copies daily so I have comparisons.

Just bought it for three weeks and like it very much. it's easy to install as well as easy to use it (wireless is great); speed and quality of printing are excellent; small size and light weight device that doesn't occupy a lot of space and don't need a heavy duty furniture to put it on. Highly recommended this printer

This printer is a steal for the price. It scans great, and it prints great, what else can i ask for? Since i don't print a lot of stuff and it may be long stretches of time between printing, an inkjet just doesn't work for me. I don't really need color, so a cheap Laser-jet printer is perfect, and this thing fits the bill perfectly. If you print infrequently, but might need a scanner at home (i.e. home office), this is the perfect printer for you.
