I had to buy a new printer when my old HP 8600 ink jet finally died. This was the upgrade. I feel it is cheaply made although it does do the trick to print. I have not tested it with high quality color prints yet.

Document says it is going to printer and never prints. Go to print log, no print jobs in que. So then I go to the "HP Embedded Web Server" which is a pain, it gives you a lot of information, but you have to enter the 8 digit PIN every time you want to view it. Like every couple of minutes. Has Error log with Error codes, does not tell you how to fix error. Poor communication. ALSO INK IS VERY EXPENSIVE!!! just spent $150 on ink that I can't use because it won't print and won't tell me why. Probably a good printer if you were printing documents, but I print lots of photo projects. this can't keep up. I probably can't even give it away with how expensive the ink is.

Very unhappy with this printer.. not very reliable, will not scan more than 3 pages to computer at a time. Difficult to load papers into feeder properly....task buttons on many occasions have to be pressed more than once to get required function.

Some of the features work but most do not I have a Mac Book Pro It is not very compatible so I am just trying to make some of the features to work. This probably works with Windows Computer

During the setup, my first concern was when the plugin cord would fit in the plug-in panel in either position, either up or down, as soon as I got it running, I printed several test pages then it shut down and said a critical error just occurred and that was the start of a very long disappointment. it seems to be working now.
