I Upgraded from a 1080p 144hz to this. Not only is the refresh rate higher, but the colors are so much better. Every color looks so much more vibrant. Games look so much better on a screen like this. And never have I had HDR before this, and I don't think I could ever go back.

Smooth Like Butter

I really enjoy this monitor. I’ve been pretty impressed with it since I set it up and overall, I’d definitely recommend it to a friend. Build quality is solid. Image quality is pretty good. And the 240hz makes the whole thing feel as smooth as butter.
My first impressions upon unboxing this monitor were that it was built very well. It’s made out of plastic for sure but not all plastics are equal. This thing is HEAVY and from weight alone, it feels like it’ll last a good long time. As other reviews have noted, it rotates to go from a horizontal orientation to a vertical one. Because of this, there is a bit of play in the swivel. Some people have said this is a bad thing. I find it useful as it allows for small adjustments due to crooked desks and even with the bit of play, tends to stay where I put it. Overall, build quality is great.
As far as image quality goes - it’s fine. Most people are likely to think it looks great. I have it directly next to an Apple Studio Display so the Omen’s IQ shortcomings are way more apparent. Here’s the thing though, the Studio Display is meant for work where display accuracy is the most important factor in a monitor. The Omen is meant for gaming; and when used for its intended purpose, the high contrast and vivid colors on the Omen work to its benefit, not its detriment. If you need a monitor for photo/video editing or graphic design, skip this one. If you need a gaming monitor, the IQ on the Omen is more than sufficient.
The biggest feature though is that 240hz refresh rate. I’ll admit, I was a non-believer before using it. I figured the difference between the 120hz displays I’m used to and this 240hz one wouldn’t be that noticeable. I was dead wrong. Even when just moving windows around on the desktop, the high refresh rate just makes the whole experience of using your computer feel kinda new. Obviously it’s great for playing games but I was surprised at just how much I noticed it outside of gaming.
There are a couple other small things worth mentioning. It’s vesa mountable, which is nice. It has a USB hub. I didn’t test it but I’m sure it’ll be useful for someone. There’s no webcam, which to me is actually a good thing. A large portion of the packaging is cardboard and therefore recyclable - love that. And it comes with all the cables you need in the box.
I’d recommend this to a friend, without a doubt.

Large Crystal Clear 4k Display

The HP Omen 27-inch 4k monitor is a thing of beauty when it comes to displaying what your computer throws at you. Editing graphics, no problem. Playing games at a high frame rate and resolution, no problem. Streaming videos, no problem. The many color options such as warm, gaming, night, standard, all look great depending on your needs. The monitor also as a 3.5mm audio out jack to connect some desktop speakers to the monitor to take advantage of the sound over HDMI. The monitor comes with a stand with a decent amount of adjustability to it and is also capable of being mounted on a desktop arm that supports the VESA pattern. The rear LED mood lighting system is a nice touch to help spice up any gaming rig. One thing that I noticed is that compared to another 4k monitor of similar sized, the wake-up delay is a bit longer than the other monitor I have. It does not affect the performance of the monitor; it just takes an extra second or two to be fully 100% bright. The refresh rate and response time during gaming such as Call of Duty and Fortnite is top notch. If you were interested in a 4k monitor, I would not hesitate to recommend the Omen 27-inch to anyone looking for a large crystal clear monitor.

I was using a small TV for 5 years because I couldn't get an actual monitor until now. It is VERY worth it, screen is buttery smooth and the colors are very vibrant the difference between 60hz and 240hz is a huge jump it is incredible.

I am happy with this product. The colors are vibrant and you can use the 240 hertz for most powerful gaming.
Be sure and go into your graphics card settings and change it to 240hz as it is normally set to a default.
The LED light Color and illumination pattern can be changed by pressing the menu button located next to the power button.
Enjoy this gaming monitor

Amazing Monitor

In the box is the 27 inch monitor, a stand, a DisplayPort cord, a power cord and a quick guide/multi-language manual.
First impression - Heavy! This monitor is very heavy. I noticed right away that the the screen is almost borderless, the bezel is only at the bottom.
Set Up - The set up was simple, plug in the power cord and decide which display cable to use - HDMI or DisplayPort. It also has a USB-C connection and a USB-B connection, so there are many options to choose from on what type of connection/display you would like to use. There is also a download for the monitor that you can also use. It is located in the Microsoft Store and it is called the Omen Gaming Hub; you can use the hub to change features and settings and to get updates.
Display - The display is a 27 inch QHD display. In the HDMI mode, it looked really good. It had really crisp blacks and sharp contrast between colors and in certain games I saw things that I hadn’t seen before; it was like putting on a new pair of glasses. Also in the HDMI mode, it was operating in 60Hz mode automatically.
I changed to DisplayPort mode started operating at 144Hz automatically and never changed back to HDMI again. The game I was running, was operating at peak frames per second without any screen tearing or loss of refresh rate. It was probably the best that I have ever seen this game operate on any display. I have played this game on a LOT of displays.
Pros - (Features) This monitors has a ton of built-in features including RGB backlighting on the rear, built-in cross-hair assignment on the screen that is fully adjustable, pre-set viewing modes, built-in speakers, built-in 3.5 headphone jack, it can display your refresh rate and FPS anywhere on the monitor that you want it to.
Cons - When using a past thru device/capture card is attached, the monitor does not like it. It has a tendency to go into rest/sleep mode when the past thru device is active and it will drop down to 60Hz and go no higher while the past thru device is attached. Also, the placement of the power button.
Overall, even with the cons, I give this monitor a 5 out of 5 stars. Would I recommend to friends and family? Absolutely!

I'm a huge fan of the "Omen" line of desktops. But this is my first experience with an omen monitor. Is it worth it?
The first thing that came to mind when lugging this box to my upstairs office was - for being SO THIN this guy is HEAVY. Especially for a monitor. I suspected the majority of the heft of the HP OMEN - 27" qs was the stand. But in in actuality the weight sort of equals out between the two.
And for the gamer in me - YAY for USB in monitor. I hated having to "dive into cable world" just to connect this or that or my controller. In that regard the HP OMEN - 27" qs has you covered!
Being freesync AND gsync compatable as well? Get out of here!
Somehow the HP OMEN - 27" qs monitor (and it could be a placebo effect) seems to bring out details in games as old as "modern warfare".
Want to dial it up to 240hz? If your hardware supports it, it is truly breathtaking.
And if that wasn't all, for those with self built modded rigs, or an omen (to sync) the HP OMEN - 27" qs even has rgb on the back, that I must admit, had me messing around with longer than I probably should have!
And of course the HP OMEN - 27" qs has all the HDMI and DP plugs you need (they even supply the cables!). The speakers to me are an afterthought as I have my rig connected to an audiophile quality receiver. But they are a nice touch and are capable on their own!
If you want truly breathtaking visuals, in a very thin monitor, go for the HP OMEN - 27" qs. And don't forget about the rgb on the back!

Too Notch Gaming Monitor

The HP OMEN 27” QHD 240Hz gaming monitor is an excellent choice for the avid gamer. This is my second OMEN gaming monitor and I am very pleased with it. I’ve had my first OMEN for about 2 years and it has been great so far.
Setup was easy and all the cables you need are included.
So far I’ve been playing Overwatch 2, dead by daylight and Redfall. I have a 4090 GPU and a 12900K i9 processor and all the games look very nice on this monitor.
In addition to Omen gaming monitors, I also played on a 4K 144Hz monitor. When I went to the 1440P OMEN I definitely noticed a difference in clarity of the picture. Obviously, the 1440P monitor has a lot less pixels, but my eyes got used to it after about an hour. I can’t say I even notice it anymore. I’d personally rather have more frames than higher resolution, anyway.
The HP OMEN monitor is an excellent, high quality gaming monitor. If you’re set on 1440P gaming, and are looking for a great monitor, look no further. I highly recommend it!

I always wanted a gaming monitor with G-Sync compatibility. The HP Omen - 27 Inch is exactly what I was looking for in a gaming monitor. I have a Xbox Series X. The sharp details are awesome, although I wished I got a bigger monitor the 27 inch screen did not disappoint. I really like the 240 Hz refresh rate (I usually have 120hz), so I could tell the difference because the refresh rate was very quick very minimal blurring (I like to play Rocket League). I also like that the back of the monitor also has VESA capability. The monitor comes with two HDMI 2.0 ports, one Displayport 1.4, USB Hub, 2 USB-A ports, and headphone jack this is more than enough for any gamer. I thought it was pretty cool that the stand was adjustable (tilt, pivot, and height adjustments). I also love that the back of the monitor has lighting. I usually have to buy the monitor lights. Since the monitor is adjustable (vertical and horizontal) I also plan to use it for work. I really like this monitor and I am thinking of purchasing another one for my office space. I totally recommend!!

Solid gaming monitor by HP

This is 27", 240Hz Omen monitor by HP blew me away by its performance and how nice it looks. This IPS panel has a native 2560 x 1440 resolution (QHD) but can support all sorts of other resolutions as well. This monitor has a contrast ratio of 1000:1, which is totally fine with me. Im not a fan of monitors that have super high contrast ratios because they are harder to calibrate. There are 2 HDMI ports, 1 Display port, 2 USB ports, and a headphone jack. I plugged this bad boy straight to my XBox and it looks so great. By having the high refresh rate, I didn't notice any blurring or tearing in my game play. It has a 1 millisecond response time so I didn't notice any lag. The FreeSync and G-Sync compatibility makes game play look pretty smooth. I don't own a gaming PC yet, but I'm considering it now after getting this monitor. Another thing that stood out about this monitor is how bright it can get. It has a brightness of 400 nits and it can be adjusted in the settings. I definitely do recommend this gaming monitor.

Works great, images are crisp. Only negative I have is that sometimes I have to jiggle the cords to get it to power on and connect to the computer. Other than that, it was a great upgrade from the regular 19inch monitor I had.
