This is a great little laptop that really impressed me.
Display: The 3K OLED panel is gorgeous — vibrant colors, deep blacks, and smooth 120Hz refresh make gaming and everyday use a pleasure.
Design & Build: Compact and sleek, with a surprisingly comfortable keyboard and solid speakers that deliver clear sound.
Performance: With the Intel Core Ultra 7-255H, RTX 5060, and 32GB of memory, it handles gaming and multitasking with ease.
Battery Life: Initially just “OK,” but after a BIOS update it’s reportedly phenomenal — 10–12 hours, which is excellent for a gaming laptop.
Overall, the HP OMEN Transcend 14 combines portability, premium visuals, and strong performance. A fantastic option if you want a powerful gaming laptop that doesn’t compromise on design or everyday usability.

Good laptop if you are willing to mess with some settings, great laptop when it is on sale. Here are some of the highlights that sold me on it.
Battery Life- If you want to use it as an all day light duty tasks type of laptop like for school you can switch to integrated graphics only mode and a couple of other settings relatively easily to optimize battery life. I'm able to get around 10 hours of battery life.
Keyboard- I didn't want this laptop initially because of the keyboard lighting however, the settings allow for a plain white backlit keyboard which is better for more professional settings when you don't want your laptop to scream gamer.
Screen - This laptop's screen is one of the best that is out there if you like the OLED type of screens. Doesn't get all that bright so using it outside on a sunny day would be a struggle.
Performance- when I am doing heavy duty tasks it seems to handle it all just fine. Make sure to mess around with settings for performance in the HP OMEN Gaming Hub to get maximum performance.
Overall Build- A lot of reviews said that the chassis was super flexable but I went into bestbuy to see for myself with the display model and I thought differently and think it is fine. If this is a concern for you, I recommend checking out the display model at your local bestbuy. Only major con for me was the trackpad which isn't too bad just not the best but again I recommend checking out the display model.

Fantastic performance in such a slim design. I use this daily for gaming mostly. I easily hit 120 fps in competitive shooters on low settings without any frame gen, and it can easily handle higher requirement games at 60 fps. The 120hz OLED screen is something I’ve gotten so used too that I can’t go back to regular monitors. The fans are loud at max settings but sound more like white noise. I do prop up the back half of the laptop with a wedge to ensure proper airflow. I only use it while it’s plugged in so I’m not sure how great battery life is.

great laptop for people who want something thin and light but also want performance. All-metal body makes it feel robust. Screen is sharp and bright enough for most use cases; has performed well in all AAA titles tested (CS, FS2020, Valorant etc). Battery life can be 8+ hours on integrated graphics.
No MUX switch so you have to reboot every time you wanna switch to integrated graphics. Jelly key caps might not appeal to everyone; The shadow black color is a fingerprint magnet (although it is relatively easy to clean).

Overall the HP Omen trascend 14 is an amazing laptop for how much i was able to get it for. For around 1000 for an open box one, I dont think you can find a similar laptop at the same price. Only a few problems but theyre probably a problem with my specifc laptop more than anything. Some keycaps pop up and must be pressed back down and speakers glitch once in a while. Battery life is around 6-7 hours with medium use.

I've been using my HP Omen Gaming Laptop for about one month. I snagged it during Black Friday deal last year, and I use it daily for Gaming, video editing, and daily work. I feel the excellent performance and quiet under normal load, but the fan makes noise.

I thought technology had come far farther than this. I bought this as an upgrade from my 2015 Macbook Pro. I thought "finally, a modern laptop. Now we have tablets that run YouTube and multitask silently without heating up. Surely laptops are just far more capable versions of those tablets." Boy was I wrong! This thing runs hot while it's doing absolutely nothing. The fans turn on at idle in eco mode for no reason. It stressed me out! Omen gaming hub is a laggy mess. This laptop crashed on day 1 while I was watching YouTube. I'd say the one thing it did moderately well was run games with the fans on very high speed. It's like an old school supercar in a way, it can sprint very well but it cannot walk. It does well on the track but not well around town. I was looking for more of a modern supercar that excels on the track and then can also shut up and be civilized on the road. This laptop cannot shut up and be civilized. It wants high octane, high risk, high stress at all times. I would stay far away from this if you are a college student looking for a laptop to take notes on or code on during class. It is heavy, it runs hot and it makes noise. You're far better off with a Macbook. If you really have an itch for playing AAA games on a 14 inch screen and you don't care about noise, maybe check this out. Even then, a console and monitor would run you less than half the price and perform way better. If you want to game on this laptop on the go, expect 1 hour of battert. I really don't understand the point of this laptop besides looking cool. Because it does look the coolest out of all the laptops. But looking cool is the only thing it excels at. I'd pass on this one. In fact I did. After a few more random crashes I returned it. A high end laptop in 2025 shouldn't sound like my Dell from 2005 when I'm browsing the web. Unacceptable

I love this laptop, it's smooth and run games and coding apps with no issues, has a light weight and so convenient. The only thing that I have an issue with is the sound of the fans that you hear clearly when playing games, but I guess that's understandable for a small laptop.

This laptop has everything. The build quality is incredible, the battery life lasts all day on docs and web browsing, and it excels at gaming with a strong cpu and gpu as well as an incredible OLED display. The keyboard and display are the highlights for me and make work much more enjoyable.

It's a great compact middle-ground for gaming while traveling.
Battery life is solid. I rarely worry about being aways from an outlet, and even still...I can charge from my little 140w Anker.
It's a lower-powered 5060, but still capable of playing any game I throw at it. Not as well as a fat 5060 laptop, but plenty well enough for its size.
There are definitely more powerful laptops for the price, but not so many at this battery-life & size.
Also, the keyboard is pretty great. Not Thinkpad, but getting there IMO.

Great computer for gaming. I purchased the Open Box model to save, because it is expensive, but it does a great job. It does get hot while gaming, but most small laptops do. The display looks fantastic, but it should have a touchscreen. The battery life is good if you are not playing games. All in all a great gaming computer for its size.

The HP Omen Transcend 14 is a triumph of design and display, delivering a gaming laptop experience that is genuinely portable. Its spectacular 3K OLED screen and comfortable keyboard make it an excellent choice for a creator, student, or professional who games on the side. However, to achieve its slim profile and thermal management, HP has intentionally limited the wattage of the GPU. This means its raw gaming performance, while strong, often trails behind similarly spec'd, but thicker, competitors like the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 or Razer Blade 14.

I bought this for travel since I’m always on the road for work, and it’s been a great investment. It’s lightweight, portable, and easy to carry around. The only downside is the heat it produces when playing intensive games, but that’s pretty much expected with a gaming laptop.

The HP OMEN is a phenomenal laptop. Powerful, fast processor; visually stunning graphics; lightweight; more-than-ample storage capacity. Built for gaming, but excellent for use in grad school where lesser laptops wouldn’t cut it. Highly recommend!

No, its not gaming laptop. Marketing nonsense aside.
What it is, is a very portable laptop that is perfect for students or professionals who need some GPU acceleration in a very slim and portable package.
A perfect laptop for on the go creators, or doing some light gaming.
The cpu and gpu when in games cannot achieve high TDP at all, due to the limited wattage of the system. IT will outperform an iGPU in gaming of course, but not by a mile or anything.
In pro task such as video editing, this laptop really shines.
Also note, it has akiller screen, but its glossy. so avoid in super bright environments.
Overall a nice laptop

Bought this laptop a few months ago and has been great! Mainly play games on my PS5 but still wanted to be able to play PC only games with my friends. Also wanted to be able to run engineering programs like Solidworks on the go. This laptop has saved so much space in my apartnent going from a desktop to this, and has been able to run every game and software no problem. Very happy with purchase!

I really like this computer. It’s a good gaming computer and the OLED screen is awesome and this gaming computer is the perfect size for me so I got both power and portability all in one.

Fantastic laptop with an amazing display, and good portability. A couple of caveats that made me run the laptop the downfiring speakers can be easily muted if they aren’t elevated on a surface, laptop gets really no matter what surface it’s on and keyboard is very mushy to type on. Would recommend for a college student or gamer that only is able to keep it elevated and for only 1080p games.
