    Stable and reliable

I’ve been using this HP Pavilion desktop for a few months now, and honestly, it’s exceeded my expectations in just about every way. From the moment I turned it on, it felt fast — like I finally upgraded from a sluggish machine to something that actually keeps up with how I work and play. The AMD Ryzen 7 5700G processor is seriously impressive; everything from booting up, launching apps, switching between tabs, and handling productivity software just feels snappy and smooth with zero lag. It’s great knowing I don’t have to wait around for the computer to catch up anymore. The 16 GB of RAM and the 1 TB NVMe SSD combo means I can have tons of stuff open at once — Chrome with 20 tabs, Photoshop, a game in the background, whatever — without any slowdown. I really notice the difference compared to old spinning hard drives; loading times are incredibly quick, and large files open almost instantly. Setup was painless, too. It came with Windows 11 already installed, and everything felt intuitive right away. I didn’t have to fight with drivers or weird compatibility issues — it all just worked, which was a huge relief. I also appreciate that the tower isn’t massive; it’s a sleek, natural silver design that fits perfectly under my desk without feeling bulky. For everyday tasks like schoolwork, streaming high-definition video, and even some light gaming or creative work, this machine is more than capable. I’m honestly impressed with how well it handles demanding applications without breaking a sweat. It’s also nice to have plenty of space for future files or projects thanks to that big SSD. There were a few minor nitpicks among some reviewers about things like the lack of a second HDMI port or small design quirks, but for me, these were negligible compared to the overall performance boost. Most people who’ve bought this PC also feel it’s a great value and would recommend it to a friend, which lines up with my experience. At the end of the day, this HP Pavilion feels like a reliable daily driver — powerful, practical, and enjoyable to use. Whether it’s work, school, entertainment, or just everyday computing, it handles everything I throw at it without hesitation. I’m really happy with it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a well-rounded, powerful desktop without jumping into a super expensive rig.

This was an almost painless replacement for my older PC, which suddenly stopped working. I worked closely with Best Buy in selecting a replacement, the HP Pavilion, and relied on them to help move everything off the dead PC. I am very pleased with the HP and its performance. It is similar to the original, but with enhanced storage and speed. I like its clean lines, and it fits well in my office. The support from Best Buy was positive. I will definitely work with them again.

    Perfect Upgrade!

This was a big upgrade from my previous HP desktop I got in 2015. To be honest, I will always get HP because it lasts a long time. Once my previous one died earlier this year, it was time for an upgrade. This desktop was on sale when I got it and I dont regret getting it at all! (Especially since it was in my price range!) This computer does it all for me. I am in university and this computer can multitask very well! Its fast and has plenty of storage. On top of it, I can play my favorite video games on it without any problems. (I dont play graphically demanding games, like minecraft and stardew valley, but my previous PC couldnt even open chrome lol) I'm able to use my drawing program well too! This computer is great for students, artists, and casual gamers. My only down side is that it only has one hdmi, but buying a hdmi splitter allows you to connect two monitors. This computer is great and if youre looking for a cheaper PC (if its still on sale as i write this) it is a great option!!

I was quite happy with the AMD Ryzen 7 with Windows 11, but it only had 16GB of Ram and a 1TB SSD hard drive. While that may seem huge compared to the computers, I built in the 80's or even 90's, it will quickly be used up or transferred to external drives. I built a similar machine two years ago AMD Ryzen 5 Windows 10, 32GB memory with 1TB SSD drive. It packed up because of a spike we got during the hurricane. After spending two days trying to fix the windows issue, I looked for another machine I could purchase quickly. I looked online and in stores but was not able to find what I wanted. Eventually I stopped in Best Buy and found almost the same machine. While I did pay almost double for this machine, I got back to work the following day and that was worth it to me. The only negative is the HP and MacAfee software. I will replace them when the 30-day trial period is up. This computer will do what most people need and more.

    Good but not great

I bought this hp desktop because of the CPU and that I planned on upgrading RAM and graphics card. Unfortunately I didn’t do enough research prior to buying. First, The 180W power supply is not enough juice to do anything. One stick of RAM, it’s such a pain to get another exact stick so you just buy 2 Corsair Dimms and sell stick on eBay, Upgrading CPU cooler was a challenge but doable. The front of case is not metal, it’s plastic. Not HP’s fault. Everything runs well now, but onboard graphics were choppy playing 4K videos and games were just ok. Honestly I should be the one getting rated by this computer as one or a two stars because I should have purchased one more suitable to my needs.

I bought this PC based on its performance specs to use mainly as my home music recording studio unit. As I added on more plugins, amp sims and virtual instruments my older unit just couldn’t keep up. Now the extremely long load times are gone and I can spend my time playing instead of waiting. I couldn’t be happier with the performance of this computer.

The computer is extremely fast and easily adapted to operating dual monitors. I had the Geek Squad add an additional terabyte SSD hard drive and transfer my data from my old computer to that additional hard drive. This worked awesomely as the main hard drive with the operating system is able to run at optimal speed. The staff at Best Buy were extremely helpful in assisting me in finding the perfect computer for my needs

    USB-C port

Great working computer. I am glad I waited to review. I have had this PC for about a year. Never had to plug my phone into it till a couple days ago. Tried plugging my USB-C cable into the port and for some reason, it didnt seem like it was connecting properly Phone was not being registered in Device Manager. USB-A ports worked fine. Took to Best Buy and they confirmed that the port seemed pushed back. They said they would have to send in and it would take about 6 weeks. Cant be without PC for that long, so I took it back home. Took off the front cover and the cable connected just fine. Found it was not the port, it was shoddy design on the front panels part. Fortunately, I had a USB-C to USB-C extension. Connected it and used it to connect the cable to. Works fine. All that needs to be done is maybe open the USB-C port hole a little bigger or move the port on the motherboard a little forward.

Love this new unit. Fast, colorful, love the updated programs, I am going to Geek Squad due to the CD player won't open, I'm hoping just fluke. Otherwise I'm totally happy with everything on this unit. I'm 73 and retired but this was easy to run. I do have some experience but not a lot.

It has a nice design and what I love about it is that it is super silent. However, the processing speed is not as fast as I expected. Considering the CPU and RAM specs, I expected much better performance. Overall, it is not perfect but it is acceptable for the price.

I wish it would come with two HDMI outlets, most people have two screens now. I had to buy an adapter. Also the keyboard doesn’t have an option to lock the F1 through F12 keys.
