This was a replacement for my 10 year old HP Envy 5100 that I was sick and tired of buying cartridges for. The Ink tank is great, it is just slow and noisy compared to my old one. This doesn’t print on both side and printing from my iPhone requires you to stay the on page or document until it is done printing or else it just stops. It seems to me that I went back in technology instead of forward.

Lovin' our new color printer, and we'll hope it continues to produce great color prints for years to come.
Setup was a little tedious, and I've set up a lot computers and devices over the years; however, the part I was worried about - filling the ink - was a snap. And the color prints are outstanding.

I love this printer. It gives you a lot of pages per ink refill. I have printed 500+ and still haven’t refilled it from the first fill up. I still have another refill left in the bottles given to me with the printer!

My HP Smart Tank 5000 printer has been one of the best purchase options for printing. In it I see quality, versatility, savings in ink consumption and an easy installation interface. I recommend purchasing this one.

Received this item quickly, set up was very easy thanks to the helpful instructions. It does not print very fast but no big deal, print quality is good and it came with 4 bottles of ink to fill the cartridges. Very happy with my purchase

Love it, also love the idea that you have to install the print head. I don't use all of the time and have tossed other name brand printers that dried up.

Filling tanks is easy and fast, don't have to buy ink cartridges.
I wish it had an easier paper tray or way to refill paper easier!

The ink lasts a long time but the quality varies. If you plan on printing more than a few pages at a time, you will need to clean the printheads often.

Good and reliable printer for the price. Footprint seems unnecessarily big. No document feed for multi page scanning or copying but I knew that going in.

I haven't really printed yet. Filling the ink wasn't hard. Putting in the print heads wasn't easy. The top doesn't open so it's harder than it should be too align them.

It is a little slow and hard to make back to back copies, but the quality of print is very good and the price was good. Great for a second copier.

Sleek, modern design that doesn’t take up a lot of room. I love how the ink bottles snap into place on top of ink cartridges to fill them up without no mess. Really great pic quality. Definitely recommend this printer.

Finally made the change from cartridges to tank refills. Why I waited so long, I'll never know. Copies are clearer, and I look forward to not having to spend $30 a month for new cartridges! Great choice for a home copier!

The HP Smart printer was a lot easier than I thought to pair to my phone in my computer. The directions step-by-step were very easy to follow. The printer itself gives out very good color. Very good pictures and very good print

I bought this printer and never got through set up. Called HP support and they had no luck either. I had to return it to the store. Purchased the 5101 series and I got a few (5) on 5 different days and it stopped printing. I self-trouble shoot then called HP support and they had me do the same things and still nothing. I'm thinking I need to just go to another brand. I had a canon before this and never had any issues. So disappointed and frustrated.
