I am not an NBA star, but I am in a job that requires I be fit and ready to handle anything from climbing over a wall to quick sprints to the occasional ground fighting. I need to be ready because my life literally could depend on it. So, I take my physical fitness very seriously and train hard.
I work out about an hour and a half 4 – 5 times a week that include HIT, lifting and 3-4 mile runs. The wear and tear over the years is the trade off for being fit so I am constantly looking for ways to hack the ageing process and to maintain peak performance and incredible products like the HYPERBOOT really plus up the warm ups and the ever so important recovery! I have really noticed that after warming up with the Hyperboots and Hypervolt massage gun… the first 15 minutes of my work out don’t have that dragging feeling… I feel like I really hit the ground running so to speak. And conversely the recovery is quicker and back to homeostasis quicker. It doesn’t magically fix the soreness and stiffness…BUT it is significantly helps and I feel a lot better for it. The few days I skip the recovery…I feel it…no Beuno. I also use pneumatic leg massagers and redlight therapy. All very helpful!
As I mentioned, I have the Hyperice Hypervolt massage gun and it is absolutely a game changer….combine that with the Hyperboots and I have found Nirvana. The boots suggest a 15 minute cycle which is perfect. I put the boots on and set the temp and compression through the app (you can also do on the boot itself) and then grab the Hyper volt massage gun and spend 15 minutes working the major muscle groups while my feet and ankles get messaged with compression and heat. Very effective use of the precious warm up time. It’s so easy to skip that during a busy day but the warm up is important! I also love how the boot lets you be mobile if you want. I can stretch do a light walk on the treadmill (very slow) load weights ect. Super handy and efficient.
The app is very nice as well. It has all my Hyperice devices all in one place. The controls and Bluetooth on the boots are very intuitive and easy to use as well as a way to keep a timer on the warm up. I really like the partnership with Nike as well. Just a beautiful and stylish design with Nike flare.
The boots are comfortable and easy to get on and off. They are IP54 so not water proof but dust and splash proof… a little sweat or a splash from a water bottle will not hurt them. The sizing was also perfect for me. I got a Large which is for sizes 10.5 to 12. I am a solid 11.5 but wear a 12 running shoe for foot expansion during runs. The large fits perfectly! The boots have 3 heat and compression settings. I like level three on the heat and level one and two on the compression. Very easy to set your comfort level. It really puts out the heat. The mobility is really cool. I would not really run in them but walking around stretching loading weights is very easy and natural. One suggestion for the next version is to run some heat down the bottom of the foot pad. The heart is only on the ankles and top of the foot. The heat does push up and down but I would love to have the heat on the balls of my feet and the pad. NOTE: be sure to wear long socks! I almost just slid them on turned them on barefooted. They get warm and the Socks help with heat conductivity. The buttons are also easy to access which I like but the app is the best way to control I think.
Over all, I really like the boots. They look really cool and the tech is top notch. I wish they had heat on the foot pad but maybe that would have worked against the shoe comfort. They are very niche for the ankles mostly and I still would choose the Nomatec elite for the whole leg massage if I had to choose just one but if you don’t have to choose… the whole Hyperice recovery and warm up products are amazing and compliment each other nicely. They are pricey but really add to my recovery and warm up. I really love the boots mobility and pair a Hypervolt message gun….I’m telling you ….Nirvana!

🔖Being able to warm-up or do a Recovery Session it is always welcomed and doing it while being able to move gets even better!
That's why was nice to see that Normatec (leader in dynamic air compression technologies) X Nike (one of the best sports apparel) joined forces to come out with this HYPERBOOT as they call it!
🏃 Since i have been increasing my running training and my job that requires me to stay on my feet for long hours and between other daily outdoor activities, any recovery i can get it is bliss!
👟 The boots stay charged for about 1.5 hours and while they have 3 Levels of Compression and 3 Levels of Heat, my preferred setting is 3 on Compression and 1 on Heat since they get really toasty which is great for recovery but Level 1 on heat will do it for me!
📲 "Hyperice" mobile app lets you connect via bluetooth and have a greater control over your sessions without even having you reach for anything. I do recommend downloading the app!
I have been using them right after my workouts in the gym while doing some other things in the lounge area and i can easily do another session when i get home due to the great battery time and portability that they offer.
I would say the main focus it's on the ankle and the heat really does make a difference in recovery. Using them regularly will give you the much needed recovery and confidence to get back to your training stronger then ever!💪

If you’re familiar with leg recovery boots then you might ask why you would care to have the Hyperboots? Two big reasons convenience and mobility. The Hyperboot integrates Normatec’s dynamic air compression into dual bladders that wrap around the ankle and midfoot. The Hyperboot has three compression and heat levels. I found heat level 1 to be more than enough for me.
Now, the Hyperboots are easy to use and the best part is I am able to walk around in them instead of having to remain stationary for the entire compression therapy. So, if I want to get some water, take vitamins, do anything…I still can with the Hyperboots. While I would walk with the boots indoors, I would not walk outside the Hyperboots just because I don’t want to be cleaning the bottom the Hyperboots when I am lounging in my home with them. It is more of a warm up and recovery tool where I am able to warmup my feet in anticipation of a run or a basketball game.
Due to my specific lifestyle I require more compression therapy sessions on my ankle/foot area than my whole leg. Due to that reason I have a need for both the Hyperboot and leg recovery boots. The Hyperboot has helped immensely to warm up my feet. For example, I have sprained both my ankles more than I can count playing basketball. As a result, my ankle will lock up when it is cold outside, or mid-stride while running, or running stairs.
For me, there is no way around it, due to the wear and tear on my body from an active and athletic lifestyle I need to warm up my ankles before playing most sports or run the risk either ankle locking up. With that being said, I have not had my ankles lock up on me once since using the Hyperboot to warm up at the highest compression setting mixed with level 1 heat for 15 minutes.
I tend to program my runs based on how my joints feel overall while running. When I go for a run that is 5 or so miles my ankles tend to be a bit sore at night and the following day. Again, the Hyperboot has helped a lot with my specific issues related to my sports injuries specific to my ankles. The only complaint I have is that the Hyperboots do not compress in sync when starting the compression routine from the HyperIce app. This is a small preference that does not affect the functionality.
