Hyperice makes some awesome products so when I saw the Hyberboot was a x Nike collab, I expected greatness and I wasn't disappointed. Not only do the Hyperboots give you the ability to warm up and recovery with heated compression, but they allow you to do this on the go without big bulky leg sleeves and a pump unit. The Hyperboot has everything you need with a tiny external charger, which all stores perfectly in a gym bag or carry on. I'm not a professional athlete but I still stay and shape and lately, I've been an avid Pickleball player mainly because it is easier on my joints. But playing on hard tennis courts still puts a lot of stress on my feet and I don't recover like I used to. These Hyperboots will be the envy of the tournament as there is a lot of sitting around waiting for tournament round robins. Even if I don't play well, I'm going to look great walking around with these Hyperboots warming up and recovering between matches! As you can see, the boots look fantastic. They kinda reminded me of those Nike Back to the Future boots for a minute, so they will definitely turn heads when you show up with these on. You can even walk around comfortably with them even though they are a little bit oversized, with huge outsoles, they kind of feel like Hokas. They are also incredibly light given they have full compression, heat, battery, bluetooth and control elements included. The Compression isn't as strong as the full leg boots/sleeves, but given how small and integrated they are it is still very impressive. The heat is almost TOO hot. Make sure you wear socks or they get uncomfortably hot. I still only use the lightest heat setting or the heat gets too intense. You can easily adjust the temp on the fly or turn it off completely which is great. The App integration as I mentioned is great, the BT is fast and responsive in terms of pairing and you're connected within a few seconds via App as soon as you turn the boots on. No going into Settings > Bluetooth or anything like that. Firmware update also took 20-30 seconds and did it for each boot. The boots are also synched to each other and starting the warm-up cycle on one boot also starts it on the other. A few things to be aware of when using the boots. Make sure to REMOVE the pads on the velcro before using the boots, or you may find the velcro slides off. Not sure why they put these velcro covers on, but there are 4 of them on each of the circle pads. Also, the boots during the compression cycle can be LOUD, so be aware of that if you use these in public places especially ones where quiet is expected (Library, chess matches, golf tournaments etc). Also, these boots are EXPENSIVE, so make sure to use them in secure locations and store them safely. I would be a bit paranoid about taking them and leaving them unattended with a lot of people moving around. Also something to consider if you wear them in public, they will draw attention whether that is positive or negative. A few things I didn't love about the Hyperboot that could be improved in a v.2 was the charging mechanism. Yes its USB-C which is better than something proprietary, but how slick would it have been if they used some kind of magnetic capacitive charging mechanism? Also, the plug on the right boot removed completely while the left boot had a keeper type of mechanism that kept it in the boot. Really easy to lose tiny USB-C weatherproofing plug. The LEDs and buttons aren't as slick as the rest of the boot and look at least a few gens behind. I would've also liked to see a removable sock sleeve as I could see these things getting a little ripe over time if used before/after working out and with the heat function. I'll definitely have to put in some shoe trees or fresheners to keep them dry and fresh. Sizing for me was right on, I'm a solid 9M and the Medium sizing was spot on. I would also like to see if these are FSA eligible to help defray the high cost. Definitely recommend these Hyperboots for anyone who is active and wants to help recovery and ease foot pain. I will also keep these at my desk at home for when I'm working from home as I can definitely see myself slipping these on days my feet are sore after a rigorous workout.

Active Recovery You Can Walk In

The Nike × Hyperice Hyperboot is an impressive step forward in wearable recovery technology, merging Nike’s design innovation with Hyperice’s proven compression and heat therapy systems. As someone who has relied on Hyperice devices for years—ranging from Normatec compression boots to percussion massagers—I was super excited to try this hybrid recovery boot that promises both warm-up readiness and post-workout recovery in one. I personally prefer these boots for warm-ups as my focus is to increase foot mobility before my morning endurance runs. If you are a marathon runner, you know a good warm-up increases your range of motion. Key Criteria: When evaluating performance and recovery products, I focus on design and comfort, warm-up and recovery performance, and portability. The Hyperboot stands out as an innovative hybrid between a compression system and a mobility boot, offering targeted heat and compression that’s unlike any of the traditional heated foot massager units I’ve used. Design, Fit, and Construction Constructed from high-quality materials, the Hyperboot feels premium and durable. The design resembles a training boot but functions as a portable recovery device. The integrated battery and control unit are neatly built into the heel counter, making the system self-contained—no hoses, wires, or separate controllers. Despite its bulkier upper, the rocker-style geometry underfoot makes walking practical. I love that I can walk around during the 15-minute warm-up cycle to reduce morning stiffness around my ankle joints and tendons. The interior padding provides a comfortable fit around the feet and ankles, and the Velcro straps make it easy to secure without feeling restrictive. I wear a men’s size 9.5 (Medium), and the fit feels snug but not tight—ideal for 15–20-minute sessions. The exterior finish looks sleek, true to Nike’s styling, and pairs well with Hyperice’s technical engineering. What impressed me most is how intuitive it is to use—simply slip it on, adjust compression and heat intensity, and the system automatically cycles through pressure zones similar to the Normatec sequence. Heat and Compression Performance The Hyperboot features three modes—heat only, compression only, and heat + compression—with adjustable intensities. The integrated heat zones warm up quickly and provide consistent temperature across the foot and ankle. The heating feels evenly distributed—enough to relax tight joints before a workout or run. I tested it by wearing it on one foot and leaving the other untreated. I noticed improved ankle mobility and reduced stiffness, making it an excellent pre-run warm-up tool. I had my friend try it as a post-training recovery device, and he loved it—the Precision Pulse compression did a great job at releasing tension and flushing out lactic acid. I’ve only used it three times so far, for a total of 45 minutes at a medium setting. It’s designed to run for about 1.5 hours on high heat and compression settings. Portability and Practical Use The biggest advantage is portability. With no cords or bulky air hoses, I can use these anywhere—under my desk, before a run, or while traveling. The boots are heavier than standard shoes but far lighter than a full recovery system. The compact design and built-in battery make it a great companion for athletes or professionals who are constantly on the move. I typically use the Hyperboot for two 20-minute sessions per day—one pre-run and one post-training. The compression intensity at level 3, combined with moderate heat, provides the best balance between stimulation and comfort for my routines. Overall Impression The Nike × Hyperice Hyperboot brings a fresh approach to mobility recovery by merging technology, comfort, and practicality into one seamless, integrated therapy system. It’s more than just a wearable gadget—it’s a high-performance recovery tool for athletes who value efficiency and innovation. If you already use Hyperice products like the Normatec boots or Hyperice X, this is the natural next step. The convenience of wireless operation and integrated heat zones makes it ideal for both warm-ups and post-run recovery. At its price point, it’s clearly aimed at serious users, but if recovery is a regular part of your routine, the investment is well worth it.

Having used Hyperice products in the past and other compression technology for sports recovery, I was interested in trying out the Hyperboots to see if this innovative collaboration with Nike would help me with my warm-up and recovery routines pre and post training/workouts. The boots use rechargeable batteries that last around 1-1.5 hrs on a full charge depending on the settings you use, however, they can take up to 6 hours to fully charge when depleted. These come with two USB-C cables and a dual-output wall charger to charge both shoes at the same time. You’ll also receive a set of swappable international plugs, so you can travel and charge your boots no matter where you are. As footwear, the Hyperboots have a very functional design. Not only are they super easy to get in and out of thanks to the Velcro strap bindings, the rocker style sole with non-slip treads make them well-suited for actually walking around in and going about your routine while the device is operating. They’re a tad hefty at just under 2 lbs apiece, although most of that weight is in the heel due to the battery and electronics, but there’s enough flex in the top and cushion underfoot that they’re quite comfortable to wear and move about in. Mind you, these are not meant for you to take long walks or train in, but you don’t have to stay stationary with your feet and legs up as you would with a full leg compression sleeve. You’ll want to wear socks that come up past the tops of the shoes to guard your skin against direct contact with the inner lining; this not only protects your skin against abrasion and direct heat, it’ll help keep the material of the shoe dry and clean for easier maintenance. As the boots are sized in ranges based on shoe size, just make sure you get the right size for your foot. I felt the sizing was pretty good, as I got the medium which starts at a US men’s 8.5 and goes to 10; since I’m at the smaller end of the range, they might feel a bit oversized at first but keep in mind the compression air bladders inside the shoe will take up some space as well. After putting them on and powering them up, they will calibrate to your feet by automatically inflating to size up your feet as a baseline. The physical controls on each shoe are easily accessible on the inside of each heel, just above the USB charging port, and consist of power, heat, compression, and start/stop buttons with easy to read and understand LED indicators for each. Both heat and compression can be separately toggled on/off and have three levels of intensity ranging from 111°F to 125°F and 50 mmHg to 210 mmHg respectively. After choosing your settings, pressing the ‘play’ button starts a 15-minute session after which it will automatically shut off. You can pause sessions to halt heat and compression and resume where you left off at any time during use. While the boots have separate power buttons and can be used individually, when both are powered on simultaneously, they automatically sync to each other and changing the modes on one boot will alter the same settings in the other. The Hyperice mobile app can also connect with the boots over Bluetooth and offers the same 3 levels for heat and compression levels, while ‘custom’ mode gives you more discrete increments with 9 choices for heat and 15 for compression. The app shows a live countdown of the remaining time left in the session, and you can extend or reduce the time with a 10-minute minimum and 15-minute maximum. When using heat and compression, the warmth and pressure are focused around your heels and upper foot. There is no heat or compression applied past mid-foot towards the front of the foot, which can make your toes feel cold in contrast. This targeted treatment is meant to increase blood flow to and warm-up the area around your ankle, helping to improve flexibility and mobility while reducing your risk from injury during activity. For me, I prefer the highest compression level and medium heat setting, as the max heat felt a bit too hot. After a pre-workout treatment, I could really feel the improvement in the looseness of my ankles. My feet felt agile, supple, and were free from any stiffness, as if I’d done a round of jogging or dynamic stretching. Similarly, after training or physical activity, these worked great to alleviate soreness and aches by clearing lactic acid build up and improving circulation while decreasing muscle tension and inflammation for faster healing and recovery. Plus, it’s just nice to have a warm foot massage after a long day of being on your feet. I think for any athlete or physical fitness enthusiast, the Hyperboots could enhance your warm-up and recovery routines. They operate at the push of a button, let you move about during use, and are comfortable and effective for their intended purpose.

I feel like these help with my ankle, my flat feet aches and pains, and I’m willing to try anything at this point. These are not a life saving game changer purchase for me, but I’ve only been using them for a couple of weeks. They are just an added bonus to my arsenal of ankle braces, shoes, and shoe inserts to simply get any relief possible from having flat feet. I get everyday and all day pains from simply standing and walking and these help take that pain away temporarily. I’ll take whatever I can get at this point. I think the price is absolutely absurd and unrealistic for most people and I still have a problem I paid this much for these but what can you do? Try and try again
