It has 3 different strengths. I am a small frame female so the 1st level is enough for me and the 3rd is great for my husband. I use it for my tendinitis which has been a big help thus far. It took me a mintue to figure out that to start this you have to hold in what shoes a power button. After finally figuring out how to turn it on it worked great.
