Doesn't Work As Expected

In theory, it does that, but when I connect my portable USB HDD to this, the console fails to recognize it so I am no longer able to play my installed games. I had to remove it. Thankfully I am able to use it with my PC to add a couple of additional USB ports. It works fine for mice and keyboard. My ports were spaced the exact distance needed, so I'm grateful it wasn't a waste of money. One star because it functions, but it doesn't function for the purpose it was intended -- to provide additional USB ports for my PSVR, external HDD, and controllers.

Not for External Hard drive

This product ql however work if you dont need external hard drive. It will also work on either ps4 regular or slim.

The design is kind of cool as it doesn’t look like an accessory. It looks built in. You must use the back port on your PlayStation for storage the. Use this for accessories.
