Does what I need it to

Purchased one of the cables with the red/yellow/white plugs on one end and an HDMI port on the other for our TV. But we could only plug in one device. Purchased this splitter and we're able to plug our Cable, Chromecast, and Roku box. (Can't switch input devices from the remote though - it's all considered the same input source - we have to get up and select it on the box, but I need the steps!)

Inexpensive, Adequate, Lengthen Connection Wire

Although it is a fairly basic unit, it was inexpensive and provides generally good value. The only "quirk" that affects me is that the connection wire (which attaches to my computer's USB port) is only about 2" long (about the length of a memory stick)- which makes it difficult to use the ports that are closest to the computer.
