Purchased this item to insure I was able to backup my system to an external hard drive. The USB ports on my system were not producing enough power to the drive so I couldn't do a backup. This was critical as the machine in question was being sent in for warranty repair for that power issue. This active USB hub provided more than enough power to run the external drive (plus other connected items) and I was able to create a backup of my system before it was shipped out for repair. I highly recommend this product. A great "bang for the buck."

Does what it is supposed to do. Works fine. But: it takes up and outlet has a cord from the outlet to the hub, from the hub to the laptop, and only offers four ports. Maybe I should have looked for a dock station. Be sure to explore all options before you choose.

Works just fine. I would like the box to be a little heaver. Any movement of an installed cable will cause the box to move. A solution is to place the power brick on top of the box. The disadvantage is the required extension cord to the A/C plug.

Exactly what its supposed to do it does. Do not notice delay or drop off.

Easy plug n play with my 27 inch iMac. Allows me to plug in several hard drives (protable HDs that power through the USB), and still have room for flash drives, printers, etc...

Just what I was looking for. USB 3.0 means great transfer speeds, especially if you some serious data copying. As always, Insignia provides reliable hubs and connectors.

I picked this hub up to handle my portable external hard drives and connect my phone without having to go underneath my desk to get to the ports on my PC. There's nothing fancy here but it does get the job done without sacrificing too much read/write speed.

Been using this USB hub for my home office during COVID for the past three weeks. Works great so far. No issues. I like that it comes with a power cable for using as a USB charger while travelling as well.

USB hubs are something I've been cautious of in the past for non brand names. However this insignia is doing just fine. No issues and let's me connect multiple devices as well as being powered. I have been happy so far

This external usb port works very well! Because it has its own power the speeds are still tremendous, definite buy if you need additional USB ports for your computer setup!

Bought it for my Surface but am now using it for a charging station for all the devices. Works great. Have it plugged into a plug strip so along with the cubes and the USB port we are able to keep everything charged and when necessary use it for the Surface

The USB hub is very handy tool. Goes to work immediately and has no issues in transferring data between all four devices connected. Although, I felt like the transfer speed may reduce a little based upon the devices being connected and data flow.

This is nice because I can plug four things in it at a time.

I needed a USB 3.0 hub and this more than fitt my needs.
