Bought a new computer, then I bought a new computer desk. Long story short, once I put my new computer underneath my new desk, I no longer had easy access to the USB ports. What a dilemma. Do I return the computer? Do I return the desk? No! This handy product solves all my problems*. I plug it in to the back of the compute, place it on the upper shelf of my computer desk (did I mention I got a new computer desk?), and voila: 4 fully functioning USB 3.0 ports within easy reach. Thanks Insignia. * Really, only my USB access problems are solved. I'm still losing my hair, I can't dunk anymore, and my daughter listens to Justin Bieber, but what do you expect for $30?

My new computer has less ports than my old one and I felt limited in what I could do and wasn't happy about it until a friend suggested I look into such a devise. I am a computer novice and didn't realize there were such things. So off I went to Best Buy to get the help I needed. It was easy to hook up and gives me all the ports I need. I have used it a number of times since purchasing it and am very satisfied with the product.

I am using this with my xbox one. It charges both my controllers and my external USB 3.0 hard drive runs through it also (blazingly quick). A great buy.

This is a great powered USB hub. Works as expected and since it's powered, all my devices work without issue, unlike when I was using an unpowered hub.

I need more usb ports for my Blue Ray player and wireless mouse. This unit has the ports and can be plugged in for alternative power.

I bought it to add usb to my PlayStation. Its awesome because it has power so it charges my controllers and head set while the ps is off.

I wrote a review about the new external hard drive I bought. This review is the new hub I had to buy to enable me to use the new external hard drive on my older computer due to the newer type of USB. However, with this new hub I can plug into equipment with the older USB ports and equipment with the new USB ports. I like that functionality since I have both types of USBs. I am trying to keep up with the newer, ever advancing, changing of technology but it is difficult.

great small usb hub. decent size cable. might need to get a replacement if your computer is farther

A good price for a well-functioning project. I use my wireless receiver, headphone charger, and mouse to use it and so far there has been no problems.

I needed more USB ports. This device worked great. It has AC power plug to make sure all USB devices receive write amount of power.

Excellent hub, especially at the price. USB 3 speeds are good, and so far haven't had any issues. I even bought a second for another project at home! :)

For the price, you can't beat it. It is powered by plug in, which I like. I have all 4 port plugged to something and never have a problem.

Having 4 ports is the perfect size. The 3.0 is super fast. Just wished the power cord was a little longer.
