Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub's ease of use, the number of USB ports it provides, and its compact size. Many appreciate its performance and compatibility with various devices, along with its reasonable price. However, some customers wish the cord was longer and mention occasional connection issues. A few also noted that the lightweight design can make it prone to tipping over.

I upgraded to a new computer and now wish I'd paid the difference for one that had more ports. I wanted the best they had as in the past I haven't had good experience. This one is better than the others, but still doesn't always 'see' my backup drives I attach and I have to re-arrange the ports, plus and unplug.

Purchased as an add-on for my laptop to aid in my monthly livestream. This has been reliable & easy to use. USB 3.0 is a benefit when it comes to transferring music on the fly for DJing with an external drive.

I have a all-in-one computer and all the ports are on the back of unit and it is a pain to plug or un plug a USB of any sorts in. This is the best, it sits on the corner of my desk and so easy to slip a flash drive in when needed. Should have bought it sooner.

Since my Computer uses USB 3.0 and my ext hard drives are the same was time to upgrade my USB 2.0 hubs and found this hub does show the speed advantage of USB 3 compared to USB 2.0. Fast transfer of large Camera Raw files which helps speed up my editing workflow. Highly recommend getting this.

This USB powered hub and works well. The powered aspect is very useful so as to not draw power from parent device. The only issue is the weight of the hub. When connecting USB cables to the hub the device has a very hard time staying flat to a surface.

Two of my USB ports burned out in my computer tower, and every time i needed to plug in a flash drive, upload pics from my camera or iPhone, I would have to unplug another device (i.e. my mouse or keyboard). This was such a pain!! Recently when I was at a Best Buy store, I was telling an associate about it and he recommended this to me. This was one of the best purchases I've made! There are bigger ones, but I wanted one that was small/compact enough that it wouldn't take up too much space, and I also didn't want to spend more than I had to. This is perfect, as it allows me just enough USB ports (4) to do what i need to, I don't have to unplug other devices and juggle them around, and it's very small and affordable!

I purchased the Insignia™ - 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub - Black over a year ago and I am still using it, even as I type this review. I've worked in the I.T. arena for over 30+ years and have had many different brands of USB hubs. This one has held up as good or better than some I have paid a lot more for.

Keep using your older devices on a newer computer

I recently bought a new iMac, one of the new models with an Apple silicon M1 chip, and I knew when I ordered it that it didn't have any USB Type A ports on the back. Unfortunately, all my major devices still use Type A connectors; the obvious solution was to get a hub like this one, that could connect to the new computer and provide the Type A connectors I needed for my devices. So far, it works perfectly, as evidenced by the fact that my keyboard is hooked up to it (and thus enabling me to type this up). The only issue I have with it is that the power cord is just a little too short to reach my UPS, so I am currently using a plug extender to hook it up to the UPS. Apart from that, though, it works well, and is my saving grace for use on the new computer.

My newer Dell computer didn't have an adequate amount of USB ports for all of my digital devices. I found this USB hub on Best Buy's website and walked in to purchase it. It gave me four more USB ports which was adequate for me needs. Easy to install and use, I would recommend this small hub for anyone who needs a small additional amount of USB ports on their PC.

I bought a Sabrent 60-watt unit, that housed seven ports and charged an additional three USBs. On the second day, four of the seven plugins stopped working. Purchasing the Insignia was a quick fix and it worked when I needed it most. I used all four plugins at once and worked flawlessly.

Works like a charm. I host a podcast show on YouTube called the Party Galardi Podcast and I have multiple items that I need to plug in via USB and this works like a charm. They are hard to find in the store but when you do, buy it.

Plugged it in and it worked without issues. No troubles with drivers or any other problems that have surfaced with other similar devices. Also the ports themselves fit snugly and without a problem with a myriad of different cables/devices I've plugged into it, unlike my computer....

Had a USB hub but it was not a powered. This caused a problem with seeing my HP office printer. Added one with power and it sees my printer and mouse, the 9 Volts from USB makes my new HP laptop think that there is no drag. (thanks to Windows 10 causing the Problem!).

I was hesitant to purchase due to not being one of the "Top" brand names. It was the only one available at the local Best Buy when I needed one so I took it home, connected to my IMAC and it works great.Being a USB-3 hub allows very fast access to whatever component is attached to it. Highly recommend.
