Good for additional ports

Transfer speed is descent. I wouldn't use it for volumes of data as it seems to drastically drop in performance with large files.

We have a laptop with only two USB ports and at times we need to hook up an external drive and need more ports to make it work.

A great serial port for use with my laptop.
