Customers are impressed with the 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub's ease of use, the number of USB ports it provides, and its compact size. Many appreciate its performance and compatibility with various devices, along with its reasonable price. However, some customers wish the cord was longer and mention occasional connection issues. A few also noted that the lightweight design can make it prone to tipping over.

I was looking for a USB3 hub to handle my hard drives with USB3 and this fit the bill. It was inexpensive easy to install and visibly looks good sitting there on the shelf. I would highly recommend this product to anyone interested in USB3 hubs that are cheap but of high quality.

This 4 port hub does what you expect it to do. It's powered so if you have a periferal that you can't connect directly to your computer, this will power it. It is very light, so it could slide around on you.

This USB hub is both good and bad. It is great because it does what you want... which is to plug in multiple USB 3.0 devices. My issue with this is Insinia which decides to make the wire short. It bothers me because you expect the company to be considerate of the customer. That's my only problem... the speeds are great but sometimes the computer can only use a few of the USB ports at a time.

My computer only has 2 USB inputs on the front. The way my desk is set up, I have to get on the floor behind it too access the multiple available on the back. This product allowed me to run one cable from the back of my PC to the top of my desk, eliminating the need to get behind it.

I work from home & my laptop only had 2 ports. Only one is available for my mouse or headset. Got tired of switching ports every time I received a call via my laptop. This multiple port worked like a charm! I love it and would recommend it to anyone who is seeking more ports for their computer or laptops.

This USB hub is awesome. I have been looking for something like this for a while due to how many USBs I have. Everything else is so expensive but this comes at a great price.

The Insignia 4Port USB 3.0 Hub has extended the USB capabilities of my I-Mac desktop computer beautifully. So far, I've used two of the USB ports simultaneously with no hitches. I'm looking forward to years of use with this handy device.

This is a simple powered USB 3.0 hub. It's nothing spectacular, but it doesn't need to be. It's been working well for me and being powered has had no issues with handling any devices or additional hubs plugged into it.

If you want more USB outlets this is what you want to get. It was super easy to hook up, you just plug it into an USB port, and now you have 4 USB ports, just like that. Couldn't be any easier, and I have never had a problem with it.

setup was incredibly simple so it wins because its idiot proof.
Where there is a possible issue and I say possible because it may actually be the hardware...sometimes I lose the connection on my keyboard when its plugged into this.
Again though, I'm not 100% convinced its the hub but that's why i'm leaving a star off for now.
Its cheap, its fast and like I said, setup was just so so easy.

This is the second of this particular Insignia USB 3.0 hub that I have purchased. I have had one for about 2 years that is attached to the side of my desktop and this one for travel. I have no issues with either of the hubs; they work as advertised. There are smaller hubs available for more money if you need them, but this hub performs well at a reasonable cost.

Fixed issue with device needing more power from PC

Some devices can need more power than the USB controller hub built into the computer can provide...like external hard drives. This device is perfect for those situations when you have issues with your USB device generating errors and will not function normally and Device Manager shows a USB error when it has been already confirmed that the device otherwise is functional (tested as functional on a different PC). Fixed an issue for us with a Magic Jack which would stop working and then be unrecognized by Windows 10. All it needed was a little more power as provided by this Insignia Powered USB 3.0 hub.

Just needed a few more USB slots for my laptop. This has worked well for a month now. It seems to hit USB 3.0 speeds from what I could tell in doing large amounts of moving data around. I got it on sale, so it was a great deal at $20.

USB distribution Hub

This unit has enough auxiliary power to drive your multiple devices. The previous unit I had did not. USB depends on 5 volts, and only so much can be provided via the motherboard on the PC or laptop you are plugging into. The power brick that plugs in the wall boosts this level up so all things plugged in get their 5 volts.
You will find that some devices will conflict with each other over the USB channels: Memory card readers and digital cameras at the same time as a GPS device with an internal card... just unplug devices if you find yours isn't connecting correctly.
IF this was heavier or had a method to fix it in place for easy one handed plugging it would be the best in the world.
But it is the best so far.

I've been running a cobbled-together Mac Mini server for a few years, and this hub connects four of my seven external hard drives without issue. Even when multiple drives are reading/writing at the same time there's no lag. It's not fancy, but it does the job.

Hey, what does one do when there is a need for more power and more connections? Well, this hub was the answer. The high-power port gets my tablet charged up in no time and the extra connections allow me to keep things hooked up without swapping USB cables. The unit is small so very little desk space is wasted

Needed a reasonably priced powered USB 3 hub. This fits the bill, cord is long enough to reach my tower with out being so long as to add to the cord clutter. Has just enough ports and doesn't take over the desk with it's size.

It generally works well, but sometimes items like 3rd party gaming controllers force me to change the port on the device, which can also be a commonly known issue with USB ports and computers, sometimes maybe even Windows overall. I love the convenience of sitting this product on my desk, so I do not have to reach down to the bottom of the computer on the floor cart, which is why I got this. I recommend always plugging these devices into the back of the computer which is direct to the motherboard. Do not install on the USB ports on the top or the front of the computer for best recommended use. I like the fact this requires power. That is best so you do not have any withdrawal issues.
