    Sound is avg at best. I will have to purchase a sound bar of some type to what the tv for extended periods of time

    I don't think anyone expects anything major from a TV in this price range. A good screen without a wide viewing angle. The speakers seem to be even cheaper than in normal flat screens, which are poor to begin with, so if you're using this anywhere with ambient sound you're going to want to get a sound bar.
