I used other non branded adaptors and had bad luck. This product worked at the very first connection with the Macbook Pro 2018 15 inch. No driver required. I definitely recommend this product who wants to use it with Macbook Pro. The quality is very good. Fitting to USB C connector is very firm with a click sound.

IT said I would not be able to connect the MacBook and monitor. I knew better and this made it happen.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So i'm giving it a 4 star because it works and it gets the job done, but it translates a monitor that is bigger than mine into a much smaller monitor, so when things pass from one screen to the next there is a size change and a readjustment to the other monitor. Other than that it works great, and it could be that because the monitor is 7 years older than my computer may be the issue more than likely. So maybe with a newer monitor this wouldn't be a problem.

Most likely the issue not the laptop, but rather than waiting on IT to figure it our in time for an imminent, an alternate solution was this connector. Worked like a charm and I found my solution to a unique issue!

So I knocked off a star because of no screws otherwise it would be 5 strars.Tried others from amazon that worked for awhile and then stopped. So this is a good adapter but you could do better with combined unit with more features. Get it opened box as it does work and it's cheaper at less than 20 dollars.
