It is self-learning and will report when there is a questionable item it deems in the way of its cleaning path. Sometimes it has a problem evacuating its internal bin to the docking station bin but that is usually caused by an enormous amount dog hair and carpet fuzz. We run our Roomba everyday throughout the entire house.

Having this product has completely changed the dynamic in the house as the floor is always clean - mo more stepping on crumbs and debris!

You can call customer service, and they will send you to EBAY to find parts. This is a product that i got to use only for a year and a half. You will have issues that will not be fixable, so you will end up having to replace a 600+ dollar thing.
