I had a USB hub but it did not perform well. I went to Best Buy and spoke with the salesperson and he recommended this Hub. Since I connected everything the overall performance has improved for my external devices.

EXCELLENT USB HUB FOR EXTRA DEVICES!

Control of ports and power. Powers all gaming devices. Disconnect Ethernet (Ethernet via USB) Wish the LEDS were brighter.

It took a bit for my computer to acknowledge the usb-port, once I set it up, but it clicked and works beautifully! Be mindful of the grounding effect of other devices that deal with audio interfaces and midi-usb devices having noise effects to your speakers. Otherwise, a worthwhile purchase!

Had two 3.0 flash drives, a portable DVD drive, 2nd keyboard. Got good transfer rates and no device drops! It comes with power adapter to inject power for load devices so as not to strain the upstream port.

I plugged it into my computer and it worked. I did buy a longer cable for it so it could reach the USB port on the back of my tower that is under my desk.

Cost a little more but really has worked best and I love that has 7 ports. So after buy cheap ones over & over again cuz that stop working THIS HAS BEEN A GREAT BUY!
