Excellent adapter for my new computer, easy to use with excellent results in my presentations

Adds a USB 3.0 port and VGA. This is typically done through a much more expensive dock. Also, competitors usually only offer a usb 3.0 port in such docks, and/or either a Ethernet OR a vga, not both. Drivers have to be downloaded first. And problem with the surface pro is that when you plug in external it changed resolution to 16x9 1080p the surface native resolution, but that's more surface pro fault/windows scaling, than this product.

My Asus ultra book requires a USB Ethernet adapter, when using the wired adapter you loose the USB port for other uses. With this adapter I do not need to carry another adapter for an external monitor with high resolution dual display capabilities. This adapter uses a USB 3 port but also has one on the adapter so you do not loose the port. The video adapter is very easy to use and works great with my external monitor allowing different resolutions on each screen.

Love my Yoga, but some client sites require cabled network and I often need to hook to a projector. This gives me both, and replaces my USB 3.0 port too. 4 starts only because it would help if the cord was a little longer.

Simple to install and get going... Mooost of the way.. Right out of the box; even for techno-ignoramous's such as myself. I suspect the problem I'm having is unfortunately a recurring one rather then being product driven... Good old fashioned USER ERROR.. connected my devices with ease but my setup is funky in that I'm trying to use this to send the image from my automotive scan scan tool to a 32" LCD TV. It sends the main background image but I can't get it to show the image of the full screen -window/tab/whatever you call it- containing the output of diagnostic programs information...

I love this product. Works well with any computer since it uses usb to connect. Doesn't matter if you have hdmi vga. Also love that it has a usb port on it so you don't lose a port by using it.

I bought this dongle for Ethernet port mainly. Many laptops today do not have one. What I like about this one is it will come up in windows with the same USB port #, regardless of were it is plugged in on the laptop. This is a great feature so that you do not need to search NIC info on the laptop every time you plug it in. So far has worked as expected.

I purchased this after buying a new PC that only had 1 VGA port. Install and setup was fast and easy. I can run 3 monitors on my PC which is really nice. Only minor inconvenience is that whenever my computer starts back up from sleep mode I have to mess with the display settings to turn whatever monitor it's connected to back on. Other than that it's cheaper and easier than buying a new video card.

I've mainly been using this product for the extra video card. One thing to keep in mind is that the additional screen is rendered all on the CPU and updates to the screen are sent to the display over the USB connection. What this means is that you will see some lag when doing anything that updates large portions of the screen, but small updates will render immediately. So watching a video full screen will likely not work very well - unless it's something like a video of someone else's desktop. The lag is also worse when using a slower USB connection (eg: a USB 2.0 port).

This device worked fine, however when installing the video driver, it removes other video drivers. I purchased this so I could use it on my laptop at client sites, but I have a port replicator at my home office that I use with multiple monitors. When I installed the video driver for this device it removed the video driver for the port replicator in my office. This makes this device not worth using and I would be better served to buy another port replicator (for a few extra bucks) so I wouldn't have to uninstall and re-install every time I traveled to a client site.

I upgraded to the model based on the extra features it provided and it has been great. I needed the dual monitor feature and havent experienced any lag and it has worked perfectly.

We bought a Surface 3 w/dock and 2 external monitors. This allowed us to set up the 3 monitors so we have all the benefits of a work station and all the portability of a Surface! Thanks to our Best Buy Associate, we were guided to exactly what we needed. And, this is it!

The multy-adapter it make everything easy, the only reason I gave 4 start is because I could not find the online software.

Simple installation. Works great for my third monitor. Was sure if the card would be able to handle it, if you are unsure be aware this device doesn't have an external card for an extra monitor, but works great if you current card supports it.

Works fine as an adapter, but it's strange that it's recommended for Surface and it come with a CD to install.

Adapters are not the most exciting pieces of electronic equipment but this one does the job. No complaints!

Been using this since day 1 and hasn't done me wrong. Helps save USB ports and keeps things to one side.

Feels very light and a cheap to me. However it continues to work without any problems. Very satisfied

I purchased this adapter as an upgrade and have not been disappointed. The price is a bit high.
