Decent adapter for a questionable price

My soundbar doesn’t pass through 4k@60hz so I have to plug my laptop directly to the TV. Since this dongle is DP 1.2 and not 1.4, it doesn’t support HDR10. So instead of using it for display, I used it to connect to the soundbar for audio only. The price is a little high and you should try to find cheaper options if you plan on using it for HDR purposes. The only reason I got it was because there’s not a lot of options near me and I needed one ASAP.

I'm so sorry to hear that this hasn't met your needs! We are always developing new products as new technologies come out, but right now we don't have a type-c adapter with HDR10 support. We hope to have one out soon so I hope you'll stay with us until it's released!

As an instructor at a university, it teach in many different classes and have to bring my adapter which I forgot a couple of time. Needless to say, it was not there anymore when I realized I was missing it. So I had to buy a new one which put an unnecessary dent in my budget!

I have this item hooked up in my office and it's really useful when my guest has something to project on to large screen from their smartphone. Straightforward plug and the content (email, images, vidoes, texts, etc.) from their phone to my screen. The resolution maybe downgraded when projected but I don't watch high definition videos so I found no issues. I recommend this product.
