I bought the Kenwood KAC-314 and the KAC-511 (mono-sub amp) for my truck install. The KAC-314 will eventually power my front and rear speakers. I like the compact size, good power output, and price. I can't comment yet on the sound because its not hooked up yet, but if it performs like the KAC-511 for my kicker solobaric 10" this I will be happy.

Best 4 Channel for the money!!!

This is a great amplifier. It offers everything you need to for a 4 channel amplifier. I have Alpine, Pioneer and Kenwood amplifiers, and I have to say the Kenwood are my favorite next to the Alpine amps. They do not exhibit noise which I have experienced with a few older pioneer amps I have owned. The finish is all metal, which is also a big plus for me, because there are a lot of amp out there made with plastic, and just gives the product a cheap look and feel. These are also audibly louder when I compare them to some of my older amplifiers, and I definitely set my gains with a digital multimeter. I was very impressed with Kenwoods Kac-m3004, I ended up purchasing X501-1, X301-4, KAC-314 and the KAC-511. I can definitely attest that Kenwood’s amplifiers get better with every new generation amplifier they release. And the newer amplifiers are Hi-Res Audio (higher S/N ratio and frequency response) certified, which is a plus when you compare all the amps in this price range of amplifiers. The best feature this amplifier offer’s, is a very noise (Hissing sound) free experience.

I ended up returning this in favor of a certain (pioneer) class AB amplifier because I'm cheap and class AB is supposedly higher fidelity. That said if you're looking for a relatively small, affordable, and full featured amp to really get your speakers moving this is a great option and I have nothing bad to say about this amp. It does get warm to the touch but it put out great power and sounded good too. I will be considering this amp for future car audio builds.

is very clean power for this amp. if you have a good set of seperate speakers for the front and back you will truly enjoy all this amp has to offer. and thats not even the best part. this amp is so small its easy to hide or find somewhere to mount it. and it did where down my battery like a class a, b or a/b amplier does. class d amps are the future. oh and one last benefit this little amp is even 2 ohm stable for even louder sound.

Clean clear power however, Amp is a bit pricey compared to other amps in this power range, and has a tendency to get quite warm. It’s very compact and modern looking, but the belly panel on its underside started to rust within A year of being installed in my Jeep Wrangler.

I needed something simple, compact, but sounds great. I bought this for my old Jeep. I have a decent Sony deck and speakers but with the top down and driving down the road, it just needed more. I didn't want something overly complicated or expensive, this Jeep is just a weekend toy. This amp is perfect. It fits neatly in a locked console and provided enough power to hear the music over the road noise MT tires are known for.

I got this to power up some kicker 6.5’s that are 100rms. Bridged the front and rear door speakers and its pushing them pretty good. Have it adjusted at half way. Still have some twesking to fo but it sounds pretty clear. I needed something to keep up with the sub i have. Works great. It does get really hot though. Not sure if its normal or if it’s because im bridging four speakers. We’ll see how long it lasts. Great price though. Got it for half off.

Great little amplifier with plenty of power. If you are looking to add better sound to your factory or aftermarket speakers then I highly recommend this amp. I didn't think adding an amp would make that big of a difference, but boy I was wrong. I got it on sale for $150 and I'm glad I did.

Bought this amp to replace a Rockford Fosgate amp that was powering my door speakers. This amp sounds great and has plenty of power but it does get extremely hot. I would make sure you've got good ventilation wherever you mount this amp.

a good overall amp for the price. Has basic adjustability of the channels. I was replacing an amp that went bad so all wiring was already ran. My biggest complaint would be the lack of instructions to install. A link to a video would be highly recommended.

    Open box was not "Excellent"

This review isn't about the product itself, which I'm sure if new would have been just fine. Instead, this is about the condition of the Open Box buy. This open box purchase was marked as Excellent and just missing documentation. The Best Buy outer box had good padding, but the product box had no padding inside and the amp was flopping around the box. The amp was also scratched everywhere, as if heavily used, and smelled of electrical. I didn't even bother trying to and power it on. My guess is someone damaged it and returned it, but BB didn't do a very good job of making sure it was in "excellent" condition. Had to make a trip to the local BB to return it and buy a new unit of a different brand given the limited inventory they had on hand.

I bought this to upgrad the sound system in my 2014 F150. I was able to mount it behind the back seat and got it all wired up. It sounds great and for the price Im not sure you could do better. Its a great amp.
