Customers are saying

Customers commend the stunning graphics and engaging story of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, also praising the remastered versions of classic games. However, some feel the game is too short and that the amount of content doesn't justify the price for some players. The updated HD visuals and enjoyable combat were also frequently highlighted as positive aspects.

This game is actually very great. If you're already a KH fan, than this one you game you should pick up. If you're new to the serious, catch up and then play this game. The series has a very great plot and story. It also gives you an ideas of how Kingdom Hearts 3 will feel like, gameplay wise, and look like, running on that new generation game platform, and the unreal engine 4. Hope you pick it up and enjoy it like I did.

All the pieces in this game are amazing. My favorite has to be Aqua's story which has refreshing new graphics plus an intriguing story line that has long been due.

Good package for Kingdom Hearts fans

This package comes with three parts so I will go through each one. Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD: If you have yet to play this game, this is the perfect time. It looks stunning in new HD. The controls have all been remade to fit a PlayStation controller instead of the 3ds. This was not my favorite Kingdom Hearts game when I first played it, but it is worth a play-through regardless. Kingdom hearts Back Cover: This is about one hour of cutscenes, but it is fairly engaging and revealing about the mythos in the Kingdom Hearts world. It is short lived and I wanted more, but it is pretty neat, and I was not bored at all like I was with the other cutscene compilations: 358 and Re:Coded. Kingdom Hearts 0.2: This is roughly 6 hours of new content that previews KH III gameplay. This looks beautiful and plays like a dream. This gives me good vibes for KH III. And if you are looking for more on Aqua, here you go. Overall, Kingdom Hearts fans will love it, but leave you clawing for KH III, perhaps leaving you impatient. If you are new to the series, this is not a good starting point. You will want to start with KH 1.5 and 2.5. And this overall gets a 4 stars instead of a 5 because the content here is not as plentiful as it could be. The most meaty content is an HD remake that we have already gotten, but this is still a good package.

The graphics bump was nice but it's the same wonky controls/camera and instead of 3 discs between PS3/4 I feel they could've done it all one disc PS4 or two at the most to make it one purchase like Uncharted did. Just feels like a money grab to handle it the way they did.

A preview of future Kingdom Hearts games

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 includes Dream Drop Distance HD (which is more like a remake than a remaster), Birth By Sleep 0.2, and Kingdom Hearts Back Cover. I've completed both games 100% and also watched the short film. DDD runs at a stable 60fps and the gameplay changes are welcome. Likewise, BBS 0.2 was amazing and is a preview of what KH3 might be. 9/10. This is due to how short 0.2 was for the price of the game. It's more of a tech demo but it demonstrated how Kingdom Hearts can run beautifully on the Pro. Recommended for KH fans.

Some argue that since the .2 story is only about 3 hours long, that it isn't worth the money. You also get a completely remade HD version of Dream Drop Distance which was my first time playing and it looks beautiful on the PS4 and it is a full length game(well worth the money.) You also get the Backcover film that is an hour long that goes all the way back 110 years before the original Kingdom Hearts and takes place during the same time as the mobile KH game, Unchained x. Back to 0.2 a fragmentary passage, this is a prologue for Kingdom Hearts 3 and a bit of a sequel to Birth by Sleep, beautiful graphics and gameplay to get you excited for Kingdom Hearts 3!

While we all KH devoted fans patiently wait for the anticipated KH3 this a great addition on current generation consoles and soon the whole series will be available on one console. Dream Drop Distance is a respectable remaster and not a port of the 3DS version, X Back Cover is a CG short movie shedding light on the Foretellers & their mysterious master before the keyblade war, Fragmentary Passage is the gem of this set as Aqua continues her journey through the realm of darkness. KH is looking better than ever and welcoming to all newcomers and returning vets of the franchise

It is painfully short for a Kingdom Hearts game, but it does include Dream Drop Distance and I enjoyed every bit of it. The game is as adventurous and magical as it always been, now only more beautiful. Lastly, I absolutely loved the Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover story, it had me completely pinned to my TV screen, and I'm still yearning for more. This is a great addition to the franchise, and if your on the fence about whether or not to get the game, get it, I'm telling you if you've enjoyed any Kingdom Hearts game so far, get this game.

Dream Drop distance is well done and looks pretty good for a portable game remaster. There is also the preview to KH3 which is still probably years out. That's pretty much it though (there's also a set of cutscenes but it's not playable). $60 is a bit high for less content than 1.5 and 2.5. To get the full KH experience you do want to play these games but you can get by with only playing KH1, KH2, and Birth by Sleep which are releasing for modern systems next month at under $60. Wait for this particular game to get under $30

Whereas other collections 1.5 and 2.5 came with two full games and a cutscene movie, this set leaves a little to be desired. You will find in this game you only get one full game in the collection the other game is more of a lead in, in 3 hours, to Kingdom Hearts 3. The cutscene movie was not done very well as they assume you played the mobile Kingdom Hearts X game. Overall this is not a bad collection, however, for $60 I would expect more. For anyone not an Enthusiast who is picking this up with 1.5 and 2.5 to play Kingdom Hearts for the first time, I would wait for it to go on sale for around 20 to $30 to pick it up.

Includes the short, but great fragmentary passage which leads to Kingdom Hearts, KHDDD, and a movie which is sort of a prequel to the series. A good collection, but not recommended for those new to the series. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 is a better starting point.

Let me start by saying this game is great. You get 2 games and a movie in one. HOWEVER, one game is a remake of a 3ds game. The other game is maybe 3 hours long and the movie is about 1.5 hours long. If you have played the 3ds game before, wait for this game to be cheaper. Although the other two included items are great, especially the new game, it is too little content for the price. If you have not played the 3ds game then definitely pick this game up. Very much worth it

Since the original Kingdom Hearts cans of many years ago I have been a huge fan of this series, eating at the mouth for more. Alright I have been kept waiting for longer than wanted sometimes, it always has been worth it. This game didn't disappoint. Graphics are just as amazing as ever, and I love the storyline. Everyone should play these games!

Great addition to the remaster collection of Kingdom Hearts. This along with the remaster of 1.5 and 2.5 will be great for newcomers to get into the series for when Kingdom Hearts 3 gets released. Graphics in 2.8 are greatly improved over the original counterparts and the X backcover adds new information in the origins of the keyboard war.

If you have the previous Kingdom Hearts 1.5, and 2.5, you need to get 2.8 to complete the collection and story line. This edition includes the remastered Dream Drop Distance for PS4 along with a bonus prologue to Kingdom Hearts 3. That alone is enough reason to buy this game, esp. if you're in high anticipation for KH3.

KH 2.8 provides a nice transition from the older games to the newest style of play in the series. The story and graphics are impeccable, and it is great preparation for the final game in the series to come out later this year, KH 3. Action-based RPG with memorable moments like running through Paris with the Hunchback or joining friends like King Mickey in some exciting action battles. Great game for adults and younger kids!

Over all this game is amazing. Kingdom Hearts has been a favorite of mine since it first came out on the PS2. This game is no different. The reason for this is because it is a remastered version of the 3ds game Dream Drop Distance. I enjoyed that game on the 3DS on I enjoy it now in HD on the PS4 also it plays at 60fps which is also a nice bonus. Now the new stuff with this bundle is the 0.2 story which is running in the new game engine for Kingdom Hearts 3. It plays really well and looks amazing. Its not a long game but it gives you details into past events and future ones as well. It does a good job of getting you on the hype train. The third thing on the disc is a short movie about the very first events that lead up to the keyblade war. It is a tie into the Android game. It is really well made and the voice acting is solid. It even made me laugh. Overall this is worth the purchase price and I can not wait for Kingdom Hearts 3 and the release of the first town remasters on the ps4 in march.

I picked up KH 2.8 HD for PS4 last on Jan 24th and have really enjoyed what i bought. The disk is 3 parts 2 of which are games (Dream Drop HD and Birth b Sleep) the last part (back cover) is a theatrical portion that just gives more detail to the extensive KH storyline. Dream Drop HD visually left alot to be desired, but to be fair it was a remake of the Nintendo 3DS game, The story was still great and kept me intrigued and excited with a game completion time of about 22 hours on standard mode. You get to carry over abilities if you opt to replay on the harder difficulty. Birth by Sleep visually looks WAY better and gives us an idea of how KH1.5 +2.5 HD will look like and hopefully a gauge for KH3 (STILL WAITING SQUARE ENIX) Overall i loved both games and really enjoyed myself and brought me back to the good old days of playing KH as a wee lad. The only thing keeping this from 5 full stars is that the visuals arent amazing and that the story is very linear. My rating would be 4.25/5 stars. A must get for anyone who loves KH though
