I am using it for Time Machine backups with my Mac and it has been working perfectly. It was easy to set up. I like the USB-C cable -- I don't have to use an adapter for my MacBook. I like the small size and sturdy feel of the drive.

However, these are very durable or shock absorbent.fell off a kitchen table (2 ft?) onto thick carpet and stopped working. Had to send it in to Seagate - they themselves were great FYI in replacing it but data was lost. So be aware.

Not as Fast as the Sleek Look Might Convey

Next time I will get a SSD.

Not SSD but runs on an iPad Pro

Just waiting for the 5tb version to come down in price. Though this isn’t SSD, the iPad Pro 2018 I have powers it up just fine, and it gives me 8x more storage.

It has a USB C capability and runs pretty fast for backing up with the app from Lacie!

It would be nice if this info was included in the set up instructions. The new Macs only use the APFS filing system

Awesome for Mac Book Pro back up

I did extensive research and decided on this LaCie drive. It was easy to set up and was very fast with data transfer. I highly recommend this for Mac users :)
