It’s good because you can use it for touch screen, so no need for swiping on the mouse pad. This chrome book has a large screen, bright monitor, and more room for split programs at the same time. I would recommend this for school use, large battery life, and Processor speed is good. Overall I like this machine’s performance. Can be a use for office too.

It starts up super quickly and holds its charge really well. The picture quality and screen size are great for watching Netflix, Amazon... The camera seems to be plenty good for a Zoom call, and I love the fact that I can just slide it closed when I don’t want to use it. Even though the sound quality is good, I wish that the speakers were on the top. Also, I love the fact that it has a number keypad integrated into the keyboard, however, due to that feature the QWERTY keyboard is both squeezed and shifted to the left.

It was easy for her to setup on her own. Since they use chromebooks at school, it was easy for her to navigate. She hasn't complained about the screan, volume, and most importantly speed. It’s user friendly and very responsive. Cons: I find, even at max volume, the sound capacity is way too low. Watching Netflix is annoying AF unless it’s a super loud action scene. The other issue I have is the touchpad freezes up frequently, and I lose my cursor. I am forced to either use only as a touchscreen or to do a reboot.

Amazing value I bought it for $297 before tax and is worth every penny. Gorgeous semi vibrant screen with good res and does what I need it to do. I mostly just browse the web, Spotify, Netflix movies, video and photo library and email for work. I like how it flips into a high end looking tablet and looks amazing for its price!! Thanks Best Buy!!

A hinge broke in two months.

I use Windows PC every day and know PC well, but Chromebooks are very different. I wish I searched more before I bought it. I assumed I could use my ordinary printer via USB. I also assumed I could use some high tech digital pens for detailed drawings. Neither worked. The biggest disappointment was its physical weakness. The joint hinge that connected the monitor and the base broke in 2 months. We did not treat it rough. Now the surface of the monitor comes off since the hinge is broken (see the photos). We can’t open/close the monitor anymore since that move might total it. I contacted Lenovo support, but they said the one year warranty doesn’t cover physical damage and can’t tell the estimated cost to fix. They must make the hinge much stronger to say this machine is flippable like a tablet.

Additionally Best Buy offers a wonderful warranty program called Geek Squad Protection. This will cover your device against accidental damages, spills, drops, cracks, dings, etc. and they offer the coverage in 1,2, or 3 years.

This is important for the 15.6 in screen and how smooth it streams videos. Other nice perks include numerical keypad and USB-C port. I always spent money buy new charging cables for previous laptops. Now if I don't have the original cable, I can just plug in the Nintendo Switch cable and it will charge the same. It was $300 with the wireless Sony headset included. A true 'best buy'!

However if I don't have a mouse plugged in the curser always disappears and you must use touch. It gets annoying. We got this for my daughters school however we found out later she can't take any of her exams on it due to secure browser. Microsoft teams also doesn't have all its features that she needs for her classes. This is a 1st grader we are taking about. She now uses the MacBook for school and I use the chrome book for work. Fair trade!

He has been working on some things over the summer and this computer has been easy for him to use. He is used to using chrome books at school so there was no learning curve. I wanted something more comfortable than using my cell phone for daily tasks like checking mail, playing games, tracking social media and video chat. I can easily touch screen to scroll, etc and quickly convert to laptop mode when needed for data entry. This is NOT a superfast device...but when compared to doing things on my cell, the screen size is the big benefit that makes up for speed and size /weight. There is a learning curve if you have never used this type of device..

The touch screen is excelent for Android APP, the Android runs well and the ChromeOS works well. Drawback of the Android: I currentl can not shutdown the Android environment. The Android works well because it cost some resource of this PC. So, the Linux beta and using Crouton to install Ubuntu will not run smoothly. In summary, if you want try Chromebook and try a huge android tablet, this is a great product. The cost is the Linux beta is not working well. Do not try the linux here.
