I recently purchased the LG 14,000 BTU Smart Window Air Conditioner (Model: LW1522IVSM), and it’s hands down one of the best home appliance investments I’ve ever made. Living in a 700 sq. ft. space during peak summer heat is no joke, but this AC transformed my apartment into a cool, quiet sanctuary in no time. ✅ Powerful Cooling: It cools quickly and evenly, making hot, humid days totally bearable. Even at lower fan settings, the airflow is impressive and effective throughout the room. ✅ Ultra Quiet: I was surprised by how silent this unit is, thanks to the Dual Inverter technology. I can sleep, work, and watch TV without raising the volume or being disturbed. ✅ Smart Features: The LG ThinQ app is a total game-changer. I can control the AC remotely, schedule on/off times, and monitor energy usage—all from my phone. No more coming home to a stuffy apartment! ✅ Energy Efficiency: My electricity bill has been noticeably lower compared to my old unit. By far the quietest unit I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve purchased well over a dozen through mouth my years. Cools effectively and evenly. I like the front cover as well. It looks nicer and cleaner with the intake being at the bottom and the front cover being solid. I like how easy it is to install by sliding the unit out of the frame and installing the frame itself first, then sliding the unit back into the frame. I like the remote control and the holster that can be mounted to the wall or anywhere you like. I haven’t messed with the WiFi features yet so I can’t speak on that. I got the unit on sale, $50 off. I am very pleased with what I got for the money. I 100% recommend this LG Dual Inverter, 14k BTU, AC window unit.

So far so good. This brand mops the floor with GE Air conditioners. I purchased a 14000BTU AC FROM GE originally and after just 3 months, the AC stopped working. It’s literally useless. Money wasted. I actually liked the AC despite some minor issues I had with it. Fast forward 6 months later I decided to try another brand. I basically wanted the best AC with a 115 volt outlet. This is definitely it. I had issues connecting it to Alexa originally but now it works flawlessly. This AC cools up my entire living room plus dining room area by itself. Extremely powerful AC. But here’s the best part. The app is flawless. Zero issues. This thing is so quiet, I can’t believe it. It’s more silent than my 8000BTU AC from GE I also have. If I could go back, all my ACs would be from LG. I don’t think I have anything negative to say about this unit.

We purchased the LG 800 sq ft Model LW1522IVSM to replace an old 2002 unit. I chose LG because, according to Energy Star, this model is the second most energy-efficient AC. We ran it on a weird 80-degree spring day on the East Coast. To say the least, the performance improvement between this and the old 2002 one has been stunning. It cooled the room in minutes. When running, the LG doesn’t dim the lights when it engages like our previous unit. It is also virtually silent. There is a definite noise, but I would compare it more to an average fan on high. The dual Inverter never stops running, and when on low, I can intermittently feel the barest of air coming from the vents. Of note, the AC uses a standard 120-volt outlet. I am thankful that I have an outlet close to the dedicated 240-volt circuit that the 2002 unit was using for power.  The Wi-Fi connected effortlessly. The "LG ThinQ" app works and integrates without issues to my smart home platform, Amazon Alexa. Overall, I am enthusiastic about the item and will slowly replace my other ACs with the same model. My ONE gripe was in installation. Installation was a fiddly procedure, to say the least. Screws were mis-threaded, and the general method of assembly seemed "off." I cannot easily remove the AC for winter storage and consider installation with the included screws to be permanent. I am most unhappy about the design of the insulation. Ideally, when assembled, the area AROUND the AC would be airtight. Proper foam insulation would increase performance, keep bugs and birds out of the home, and provide a barrier to weather. The LG-included foam kit performs substandardly in that regard. The included foam was cheap, and LG's engineers poorly designed the side panels. The factory-installed top brace has an opening that lets in sunlight and air! (See photos.) Come on, LG! Make a brace that mirrors the curve of the unit so it’s airtight. I used third-party AC window kits to increase the effectiveness of the insulation. With all that said, I would repurchase the AC and am delighted with its performance.

This LG 800 Sq Ft, 14,000 is perfect for my 900 Sq Ft 1 bedroom apartment. Its very quiet. It hums, Mmmmmmm! like white noise. But you'll know it's on and working, because you will need a sweater in minutes. Brrrrrrrr! I had it installed with Best Buy "Total Tech". Professional team. Which included the Haul-A-Way of my old unit. (Very Loud). It cools the kitchen, bedroom, bath, hallway, from it's Living Room window location. 30 mins and I turn off, and enjoy the coolness. The savings in use will make you happy too.

I love it! It cools down my room really fast and quiet and it seems to be very power efficient.

I love that this connects to my home Wi-Fi and I can turn my air conditioner on when I’m coming home from work to get my room Nice and cool. Best Buy total for the win because Best Buy installed it for free. They even helped me set up my air conditioner to work with Alexa. Very happy with my purchase, my electric bill has even gone down!!

Some damage to the unit, but it was minimal. The unit itself looks good and functions as expected, if not better than. I would give the unit itself 5 stars, but can only give it 4 currently due to the damage that it arrived with.

Lets start with this being my 3rd unit order in 2 weeks. 1st order came with damaged condenser fins and broken plastic internal pieces, 2nd order replacement was cosmetically acceptable but the fan/motor didn’t run, now i just received my 3RD unit replacement and the coils are smashed/bent etc. For the price we’re paying these units are NOT handled correctly & LG has dropped the ball big time since they thought it would be a smart idea to package the side curtains,screws & brackets at the front of these units where the condenser fins are located which then causes them to bend or even break. This is a warning to all before making this purchase take my experience into consideration.

Works really well, keeps a huge portion of my house nice and cold even on a really hot day. Only thing is mine came with a pretty annoying problem. If you turn the fan up past the lowest setting it becomes jarringly loud. And it shakes the house.

Best AC I had since living in my house for 10 years keep the house so cold I have to turn it off once in a while

Received the unit box damage and unit damage, installation hardware was damaged and the frame slightly warped for the installation of the curtain brackets. Contacted support and they will be slowly sending me a replacement part. I am disabled so i had it shipped to home with damage bix, and was alnost and xpect d to purchase a replacement part. I regret purchasing this and if it takes longer than the 5-10 days for the part to arrive ill have to find someone to help me return it.

It is an excellent air, it does not make noise, it totally saves energy. I recommend this LG model.

It works great. Really quite and love the coldness.

Bought the AC on 6/25 and it delivered 7/1 (impressive). Box was beaten up and not sealed on delivery with items falling out of it. Inside I found the cooling coils were damaged and bent during shipping. Best Buy wouldn’t come pick up the return and requested I repack it and deliver the 100 lb. massive box to a Best Buy store or UPS store. I contacted FedEx who deliverd it. They agreed to come pick up the tattered package the next day. A new AC is being sent to be delivered on 7/7. I’m including the Best Buy return label in and outside of the box. Depending on what Fed Ex wants to do.

The best A/C I have ever owned! Quiet, with a powerful fan if needed. Would not hesitate to buy another!

I unboxed the AC and discovered some dents during my pre-installation inspection. So i will not give any star untill I solve this issue To be updated..

Just bought it came with a ch 02 error what a waste of time

Works very well, quiet as described. This is more of a permanent ac to attach to the window frame. Easy to install
