    Cannot get this thing to pop a whole bag of any brand of microwave popcorn. Not with the popcorn button or just straight timing it. The look of the smooth face is nice, but not as easy to use as the standard style. ( the wife wanted the smooth door style) I would return this unit if it was still possible and go back to the standard style, which also seemed a little more robust when it comes to opening and closing the door. I feel like the door will fall off of this if i dont close it gently. Definitely would not buy again.

      Hi, Joe. We appreciate your feedback on the LG Microwave (MVEL2033D) model. We understand your concern about the popcorn function doesn’t work as expected. We really aim to provide products that meet and even exceed what our customers expect. Just a heads up, things like microwave wattage, bag size, and how you place the bag can all play a part in how well the popcorn pops. We suggest using the Popcorn button with the right weight selection or manually setting the cooking time according to the bag’s instructions. And keep an eye on those popping intervals—stop when it slows down to about 2–3 seconds between pops. Also, trying to place the bag a bit off-center on the turntable might help improve things.

      As for the door, we designed it to have a sleek and modern look, but we definitely want to make sure it works properly for you.
