I purchased this TV in 2016 from Best Buy and four years later it is still performing like a champ! The picture quality is superb and it plays all regions of 3D Blu-ray, 4k, and regular DVDs. (I have it coupled to a specially outfitted Sony all-region 3D/4K player and Onkyo receiver that can handle 3D and the other formats I have listed.) It is the best TV I have ever had and has the best picture I have ever seen!

I like the remote mouse feature. I could not get some of my devices to work with the LG remote. The TV has a very good picture and the apps work very fast..

Had been looking to upgrade to a larger screen tv than the 46" I had. I wasn't really concerned about 4k capabilities but did want 3d capabilities. That pretty much left me with two choices. The Lg series or the Sony series as these are the only two manufacturers who continue to produce 3d tvs. I wasn't crazy about the Sony series being android operated so I opted for the LG 8500 series. First of all this tv (55") was very hard to find in stock. Finally located one in stock at a Best Buy 60 miles from me so I drove there to pick it up. I really wanted to love this tv but can honestly only give it a strong like. Don't get me wrong...the picture and colors can be adjusted to be quite vibrant and clear. What little 4k I have streamed has been very good. My biggest issues with this set are some very mild areas of light bleed along the top of the screen and one or two fairly moderate banding lines that show up occasionally during camera pans. Depending on how critical you are about these things this may not be an issue for you. A fourth HDMI input would also be nice. It is nice that the set is HDR and DV capable for 4k. Black levels could be a little bit better if you prefer inky blacks but honestly they are quite acceptable to me. I would also prefer the back of the set to be black rather than white. This tv has more picture controls than you'll probably ever need. Set up was a breeze. Built in web browser is quite snappy. Magic remote took some getting used to but I'm getting there. The passive 3d playback on this set blows away the active 3d on my previous Sony set. Very little cross talk and no more having to charge glasses (big plus). Just make sure you're sitting at the right level. I was quite relieved to see no dead pixels which is always in the back of my mind when searching for a led tv. I must admit the audio quality of this tv is surprisingly good. I rarely use my sound bar anymore. All in all, I think most people will find this set to be quite acceptable. If you're at all sensitive to minor light bleed and or light to moderate banding you'd be better off looking for a FALD set. You'll probably want to leave the local dimming set to off.

Really enjoy the tv and all it’s features. Having all the apps at the touch of a button.

TV was easy to set up. Has a great picture. Always had Samsung but this one seems great so far.

Great tv, until the LEDs go out. Mine lasted about 4.5 years. GET GSP.

This is an amazing TV with Ultra 4K HD, and 3D! We could not be happier with it.

Nicer than the LG it replaced. Remote and use features much easier to set up.

What a great picture, however, the sound could be much better. I haven't seen anything in 3D yet, but looking forward to it. I haven't used the smart tv yet either, so can't review that. I have watched a movie on netflix and the picture was even better than live tv. Overall a great tv and I love LG products!!!!

I love everything about this TV! I shopped around and decided on this TV and I surely don't regret it. The screen is great simple to use yet a lot of features 3-D is awesome and a nice looking TV. Will Buy another one if my other TV ever burns out .

I'd been checking out this TV in the store every time I visited for other purchases. Was ready to" dive in" to 4K with HDR. but was reluctant to give up Blu Ray 3D. When I went on-line for more specifics on this model and found it was 3D capable and and even came with 2 pair of Passive 3D glasses I was Sold. Went to my local Best Buy the next day and purchased this model.

Excellent 3D Movie Ever! This Movie is very great and the 3D is perfect.

Colors are great, local Dimming does a good enough job to give great black levels. Speakers are loud with some good bass. All HD and 4K content looks amazing. Has both Dolby vision and HDR super for a great movie experience! Eye candy for sure!
