First of all I sold my G4 to upgrade to a larger G5 oled this year. Loved my G4 and I felt it was the best tv I had owned ever. The G5 does everything better. The brights are some amazing that it’s hard to walk away from the TV. I had looked at the Samsung S95F. When looking at the 2 in the store the flat matte screen on the S95F is such a turnoff if you like that dark inky blacks. The LG G5 is the best TV of 2025! Especially for 77 inch since Sony Bravia 8 only goes to 65 inch. The only complaint I had this year seemed to be dialing in the picture. The G4 was great out of the box. The G5 you do need to adjust some to get that perfect picture. The last couple of updates has fixed a lot of the Dolby Vision issues and has made that much brighter. Gaming on this G5 has been Epic!! Beautiful rich colors! You will not be disappointed in this TV!!

Excellent TV love the mounting system that comes with it very flat against the wall. Install does require two people. The TV is quite heavy but the picture and the operating system is very very good. Really love the TV.

Hands down, the best TV I have ever owned. Will worth the money for your main viewing TV. A few complaints tho. The voice commands won’t turn the TV on. The remote is not backlit & doesn’t have remote tracker if you can’t find it. The Amazon remotes are backlit & has a remote finder but If you run the Ethernet through the Amazon box the picture isn’t as good as if you run straight to the TV. They are just minor complaints tho. You would think for 3k the remote would be backlit & a function to find it if it gets stuck in the couch or something.

I’ve moved from a C1 77 LG OLED and I thought it was a great TV, but this LG G5 OLED is by far the best TV I have owned. The screen resolution, brigthness abd functions and features is the best I’ve ever seen on the TV. It is a perfect TV for wall mounting…it looks better that Samsung’s frame TV. I was decising between the Sony, Samsung and LG. The G5 is by far the best im my opinion. I have it paired with the LG ST90Y soundbar and which is a pretty solid soundbar.

Stunning picture quality. Vibrant colors & dark blacks. Very wide viewing angle, so even a large group can all see the screen. Sound quality is surprisingly good, too. Thought we would immediately add a sound bar, but we may not do that after all.
The only thing we do not like is the mouse pointer remote. Waaaaay too clumsy to use.

This is a significant improvement over the LG CX that I had before. Previously, dark scenes on shows like Game of Thrones were almost impossible to see, even with the lights off. However, with the G5, this is no longer a problem at all! In fact, I’ve even considered turning down the brightness.

Incredible television. Worth every penny. This is a replacement for a 2021 65” Sony Bravos OLED (panel manufactured by LG). The improvement in brightness is phenomenal and I’m so glad I upgraded. I really loved my other TV but did have to pull the blinds to watch dark movies. That is not a problem anymore. This even feels too bright sometimes.
POSITIVES: OLED true black, incredibly clear picture, brightness is top-tier for all OLED TVs
NEGATIVES: (when you are buying this tier of television, just realize you will also need to buy an equivalent tier sound system to match). Internal sound quality is poor but I knew that going into it. My old Sony had the best internal sound because they use the entire panel to project the sound but even that isn’t good enough sound when you have this quality level of a television.

Blown away by the image quality and precise controls. You wont beat this.
Pros:
- Dolby vision
- 4k 120hz, vrr, everything else you could want as a gamer
- Outstanding brightness for OLED or any panel for that matter
- Great image customization options
Cons:
- No DTS audio passthrough
- Remote is quite terrible
-165 Hz mode artifacts at 4k resolution

TV looks amazing. Still trying to figure out the various settings so each broadcast looks great. Blacks are super black. Whites are super white and almost too white.
Overall connectivity has been great including screen sharing via devices.
Did not use the included mount (already had one on the wall) but it seems to be a very viable mount.
Biggest issue is Best Buy. Go somewhere else. Same price and none of the hassle.

A very good TV for a bright room. We have had the TV for about 1 month and it was a good purchase. The room where we keep the TV is very bright in the afternoon and this model has the brightness to easily be seen. The apps open quickly and very little lag. Picture is excellent. The installation process was tedious with the Geek Squad, but eventually they got it installed. They did sell us extra cables totaling about $200, but at least they got the TV up in 1 visit.

There has never been another television like an LG OLED and especially LG's G-series. The blackest blacks. The brightest colors. I saw the first Star Wars when I was 9 in a theater, and finally, 50 years later, this LG OLED G-series 77" TV lets me see what I saw all those years ago, down to the shadows of dust on C3PO's shoulder as he walks into the maintenance corridor looking for R2. Stunning, just stunning.

Purchased this tv and was very easy to setup! To calibrate the TV it’s very easy to use their picture wizard to setup the display to my liking. I also have dabbled in the cloud gaming with Xbox cloud gaming directly off the tv which seems to work great but unfortunately cant do split screen but isn’t a tv issue. Audio is better than other TVs I’ve had in the past however still recommend hooking up an lg soundbar for better audio and convenience. Overall best tv I’ve ever owned

LG’s OLED TVs are some of the best you can buy. The picture is stunning, with deep blacks, vibrant colors, and smooth motion that makes movies, shows, and sports look incredible. The sleek, ultra-thin design looks premium, and the built-in smart system makes streaming super easy. Gamers will also love the fast response time and next-gen console support. The only downsides are the higher price and the fact that the built-in speakers provide clear dialogue and balanced sound, they can’t fully match the screen’s premium visuals. Pairing with a soundbar or home theater system enhances the experience.

This TV is amazing. Even with the hassle I had to deal with getting my CX replaced with this. I got a 65' at first but got damaged during delivery so i decided to upgrade to a 77'. The best thing I got from this was the price at $3,009.99 no sales tax. Other than that, this TV is perfect for gaming and movies.

I've been wanting to get this TV for months. I did my research and found this is the best OLED on the current market. I purchased the 77" because it fit in my room. The G5 is so clear especially when watching sports. I highly recommend this unit.

I recently purchased the LG 83” OLED (G-Series) from Best Buy, and I can confidently say this is hands down the most impressive TV I’ve ever owned.
The picture quality is unreal. The OLED panel delivers perfect blacks, incredible contrast, and colors that look vibrant without being overdone. Watching movies feels cinematic — especially in Dolby Vision. Dark scenes have so much detail, and bright highlights pop without any blooming. It’s the kind of TV that makes you want to rewatch your favorite movies just to see what you’ve been missing.
The 83” screen size completely transforms the living room. It feels like a private theater at home. Sports look crisp and fluid, and gaming is next-level with the fast response time and smooth performance. The HDMI 2.1 features and 120Hz support make a huge difference if you’re gaming on a next-gen console.
The design is also stunning. The gallery-style mount makes it sit nearly flush against the wall, giving it a clean, modern look. Even when it’s off, it looks like a piece of art.
Setup through Best Buy was smooth and professional, and the TV arrived in perfect condition. From ordering to installation, everything was seamless.
If you’re considering upgrading to a premium OLED — this is it. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.
Would buy again without hesitation.

I replaced a G1 with this G5. While the differences are subtle. Picture is definitely brighter and clearer. The setup allows you to make picture adjustments that make it stunning.
The remote is a BIG disappointment. I hate commercials and want to mute them. In order to mute the sound you have to hold the sound button down for 2 seconds. Which also reduces the sound level to zero. When the show comes back on, you have to push the sound button up to get the sound back and play with it to get to the level you want. BRING BACK THE MUTE BUTTON!
Also I have not figure out the HDMI input, that used to be a button on the remote.
There are some quirks that are annoying. Like when it sees a change to the Universal remote (Apple TV) it pops up a window to input a code to accept the changes. Sometimes code window does not come up.
As a Technician, I look at this as to how much aggravation it might cause to someone not that technical. My advice if you are not on the technical side is to have a Best Buy tech set everything up so you are good to go. I highly recommend this TV!

It's an amazing TV. My first OLED but I have been around them for awhile. big difference compared to previous generations not only on brightness but also the 4k upscaling! LOVE IT
