It's actually so bright that I find it necessary to have other lighting in the room so that it's not too intense. The one negative is not due to the tv. I don't like LG's insistence on involving me in their ecosystem in order to use the smart features. I'm still trying to find a way to access apps without going through their annoying LG channel.
