    LG Support the WORST!

    I did a lot of research and had friends that like this type LG headset, so bought their top of the line bluetooth headset (Tone Platinum+ HBS-1125) here on 10/02/18. In early December, one earbud simply broke in half as I started to extend it. I had never dropped or damaged this headset in any way.. no scratches, nothing. I've never broken a smartphone screen, and take very good care of all of my electronics. I sent it in to LG for warranty repair, to be told that NO physical damage is covered, and they called it ABUSE! I was very upset, as they are saying I lied about it and also that no piece of plastic could ever be molded with a crack, or with a thin wall, or any other defect. They simply don't care about the facts, only that they won't EVER cover any physical defect! I spoke to numerous Supervisors for LG, as well as their online LG Support site. No one there cared, and they won't even fix this product if it breaks... even for a charge repair. Nothing. Absolutely the WORST warranty and Customer Service I've dealt with in my life (and I spent a career as a Service Manager, knowing how good Customer Service should work!). They don't care if I won't buy another LG product, just simply don't care about their customers. A good design, just hope you never have a physical defect, 'cause then you're out $200! Oh, and Best Buy just said that since I didn't pay extra for their Geek Squad contract, I was on my own. Thanks a lot, Best Buy!

    LG's worst yet

    Though the product code on the Best Buy website reads "LG HBS1100", that product code has been discontinued and replaced by the newer "LG HBS1125" model. When I visited the local Best Buy store to replace my LG HBS1100 under the 2-year warranty program, the sales associate informed me about this change. I purchased the newer model and took it home for a test run, and callers consistently complained that they "couldn't hear me" and that I "sounded muffled." Believing that I may have simply purchased one that was part of a bad lot, I returned the product and purchased one from a different Best Buy location - only to subsequently learn that callers were still having problems hearing me during its use. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT UNTIL LG HAS CORRECTED THE THE TECHNICAL ISSUES WITH IT! You'll find yourself returning it and searching for a more functional bluetooth headset. Shame on LG for charging $200 for a product that doesn't meet consumer needs or expectations.

    Coming apart and microphones bad

    I have had these less than 5 months and the neck band is falling apart and microphones make me sound muffled at best. I came back into Best Buy to see about repair and was referred to LG (Best Buy has the exclusive on these and will not stand behind them). I sent to LG and they sent back saying “abuse”. Well I have not abused them I’m a 52 yr old who takes care of expensive things so they last. Poor service all the way around. The headset started out great with good sound but within couple months had problems with microphones occasionally and then most of the time. Once the neck band came loose it was time to do something about it I was totally disappointed. For two hundred bucks they should last a couple years at the least. And yes I should have bought a extended warranty from Best Buy but I thought I had and just didn’t pay attention when checking out. My loss and not happy with customer support from either of these companies. Beware of this headset and the customer service from everyone.

    Poor LG headset quality

    My poor experience with a LG wireless headset involves the HBS780 model (bought from Best Buy in December 2017). All was well until March 2019 (3 months outside of the 12 month warranty period) when the left earbud/speaker stopped working. I contacted LG and was basically told "tough" as the unit was outside of warranty. I continued with the headset using the right hand earbud only until it quit on April 23rd i.e. 5 months outside of the warranty period. If the LG plan is for customers to need a new headset shortly after the warranty expires then well done!!! However, my advice to all potential customers is DO NOT buy from LG!!!

    Horrible Headsets

    So I purchased these LG headsets to replace my old ones that I got from LG, which were amazing btw, and I was soooooo disappointed. These are by far the worst headsets that I have ever heard and compared to the LG model two years ago, they can’t hold a torch to them. The sound is low, they frequently disconnect, and the buds constantly fall out of your ear. LG definitely has to go back to their older designs and quality build. Do not buy!!

    This is the worst experience ever. I bought this product at Best buy and after less 5 months it broke. I took it to best buy and they told me that they do not provide the replacement warranty service on this product as it always breaks and they advised me to call LG when I had the worst customer support experience in my whole life. They basically told me that they do not cover this and basically to throw it in the trash. Worst experience EVER.

    Not Worth the Price

    I have been using LG headsets for YEARS! They have been great for the most part. But this one is horrible! I'm constantly being disconnected from my phone and I always have to turn the Bluetooth off and on to connect. ALWAYS. Then the battery life SUX. The charge doesn't even last a whole day!! (I've only had it for 3 months!) LG COMPLETELY dropped the ball with this expensive piece of crap!

    It is the third LG tone I owned and the worst, I thought paying more for the platinum version will be better, but no, I have to disconnect for every call because the other person can not understand me, so no good for phone calls. Nice sound to listen to music, but after three months one of the earpieces broke. Not recommended, LG tones use to be the best headsets, I guess not anymore.

    Worth 0 stars I use to love LG’s loved them more when they created platinum. Newest model sux. It raced on the box how it now has google Assist. In other words doesn’t really work on iPhone anymore It not compatible with Siri anymore, what a shame. The options with the buttons are way different now. And I returned Run...... do not buy these

    DO NOT BUY! - BREAKS IN ONE YEAR

    We have owned two LG ProTones and other LG bluetooth headsets. Every single one has stopped working within a year to a year-and-a-half. First one earbud stops working and then the other. While they work they are great, but for the cost they should not fail this often. We lightly use them and do not abuse them. Steer clear!

    Poor microphone quality

    I get complaints every time that I use this device. Person on other end of call always says that it is intermittent sound and poor quality. I contacted support, the only option they have is to replace the device. I have to send it to them and they will then send the replacement. So I am without a headset for however long that process takes.

    Worst headphones ever, Best Buy wont even sell a warranty so they know it too. 3 months after purchase we can only turn up the volume to halfway. No master reset options either. Spent hours searching for soultions, took them back in for suggestions and deleted and reinstalled apps. Nope nothing - and NO service.

    Got this Bluetooth and expected it to be on the same level as the Blue Parrott 450. Love the around the neck part of this unit but other than that can't really use it. I get complaints from everyone I talk to when using it , at times I find myself speaking louder than I should.
