Bought this to extend my wifi range but the firmware needed to be updated- for a new product that already needed updates upon unboxing and not syncing with current wifi set up was frustrating. Returned product for newer model.

I needed an extension of my router which is all the way on the other side of my house. With my DirecTV setup, I can't move the router from it's location, so I decided to get an extender. So far it's been great. The signal strength is consistently stronger than it was with just my router and the internet speed has been outstanding. I recommend this for anyone with a weak signal in their house! Easy to setup and great value.

The installation was very easy and connecting it to my existing wi-fi was a breeze.
For the first couple of weeks, it would drop off of the network for some reason and I'd have to unplug and wait a few minutes for it to reset before it was working again. However, it hasn't had any glitches for a good amount of time now.
I'm very happy to have this product and would recommend it.

I live in a house with 7 rooms and my room is the furthest from the modem so I never got any wifi signal. This extended definitely worked and I get a good signal in my room now.

I have purchased three different range extenders for my home use, and two for work. At home I have a Belkin which has not worked all that well, an earlier version of the RE2000 and then this one. The Belkin's range is a problem and it drops out often, and the earlier version of the RE2000 had lousy range and does not seem capable of rebroadcasting both frequencies. The new RE2000 (this one) does rebroadcast both bands and is reliable. It also has two RJ45 Ethernet connections I needed. Only issue is the range, so I'm having to use the Belkin between the router and RE2000. I've thought of buying another of the new RE2000 to replace the Belkin as relay.

I purchased this range extender to expand my wireless signal to my bedroom which is in a part of my apartment where my wireless signal is very weak. The setup of this device was incredibly simple. It asked for my current Wi-Fi password (for both networks 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz) and then simply instructed me to plug it in where I need the range extended. I did exactly that and now the signal in my bedroom is exactly as it is in my living room. It was perfect for my purposes. :-)

Great Wi-fi extender for small to med size house

I needed a wi-fi extender to eliminate dead spots in my small, 2-story cape style house. The router is set up in an upstairs bedroom, so there are spots downstairs on the other side of the house where the signal is spotty. The Linksys N600 works great and now I have a clear signal throughout the house. Set up was easy, and there haven't been any problems with consistancy of the signal. Highly recommended.

My router is set up on the 2nd floor of the house on a bookshelf. My basement is 2 levels down of our modest 2400 sq, ft, house. Before the extender, Netflix movies were buffering, Now, there is no buffering and We much better coverage. The extender covers most part of the house and a good distance outside of the house, Works well with my Linksys N router. I also have their Powerline product and it also works great on the two devices it is hooked up to.

Easy to set up as it was the same brand as my router. I was surprised at how close to the router that I had to place it for to work. My router is in the furtherest corner of my house and it has a number of walls and furniture that were blocking the signal. Coverage is good in all areas of my single story house. If I was needing to replace the router, I would purchase a more capable and up to date product. Used mainly for surfing the web and email.

I'm not sure if it is just the driver for my work computer's network card but it does not seem to handle moving between the two wifi access points in my house very well. Other products do seem to, though, including my macbook which at first gave duplicate IP errors but those went away after a day.
The speeds to be on par with what i was originally getting but at least now I can get wifi where i had parts on the bottom floor of my house that no wireless router could reach to from my network closet.
Other than my work computer's issues, the one downside is that the extender can only be for one wireless band, so you cannot connect to the main wireless AP as both N and B/G. I don't really care that much about getting higher speeds, though, since i have ethernet running throughout my home to connect devices.

My wifi just wouldn't reach to my home office. I was just getting one bar. wouldn't reach far enough to even load anything to print. Added this extender to the office, now have just as much speed as being plugged in to a wire!!!! Just what the Dr. ordered.

used with a Linksys router, it pairs effortlessly. You still have the speed limitations of an extender, but it works. Also tried another brans that does not so easily pair with the router

Aside from the fact that there were no directions included and I had to use my psychic ability to figure out how to hook the darn thing up it works, I think. That is to say I can use my computer in my basement now. But direction would have be very useful.

I was pleasantly surprised that the setup for this took 5-10 minutes. And it only took that long because I tried it out in several locations in our house to find the best signal. We have a 3500 sq ft, 3 level house, and this has definitely helped WiFi for phones, laptops and iPads in the areas furthest away from the Wireless Router (we have an Apple Router). It was a breeze to set up - it worked the first time. Definitely impressed and would recommend.

I could not get internet connection downstairs, due to thick concrete walls. I did some research and the dual frequency repeater seemed to be the best option. Due to the layout, it would not be practical to run a cable or wire and bridges were spotty at best. I mounted this on the exterior ceiling, where I swapped out a spotlight for an outlet and it fired right up. Full strength and almost full speed. It works flawlessly!

Easy to set up. Extends well. If you rename your network remember to change the settings to match network on the extender.
