Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the Velop AC1300 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, expanded Wi-Fi coverage, and strong signal. Many appreciate the improved range and performance compared to single routers, finding setup straightforward. A common concern, however, is the relatively high cost.

The setup was more difficult than I thought it would be. I was unable to set the routers up using the app, and it took two calls to customer service.

Great product! I live in a long shot gun apartment and these little machines keep my internet strong throughout my home. They do occasionally need to be restarted, but it's very quick and easy. Install was incredibly easy as well.

Easy Set Up & Useful App

Product setup was easy and the app is very helpful and easy to navigate. I had an issue with connectivity a couple of days after installation, however the Linksys chat agent was able to get me fixed up relatively quickly. An unrelated but interesting quirk about the system is that one of the nodes appears to be getting some radio interference from a separate WiFi transmitter, and as a result is often blinking yellow. No connectivity issues from the node, but just a visual frustration. It comes and goes, but would generally prefer the LED to stay lit solid blue like the other nodes.

As some have noted, I had issues with nodes dropping off and not linked in a chain when they came back. This was causing speed issues. I almost returned them but I decided to give their tech service a call. After a long wait on hold, a technician came on the line and spent time with me going through all the settings (outside of their app). Long story short, I have not had any further issues and my speeds are as expected and steady. She even called me back the next day to follow up. I miss having the capacity to connect to 2.4 and 5 ghz individually

Absolutely the best router I’ve ever owned. Why? It distributes the signal affectively throughout the entire home. It’s very easy to set up, easy to monitor and if you do have a power failure, it’s very simple to bring it all back up quickly. I highly recommend This product.

    Good After Setup

Good once setup. The setup of the first one -- connecting to the modem and my ISP (Comcast/Xfinity) kept running into problems, to the point where it finally gave up and prompted me to call Support. At that point I killed the app on my phone and started over...and all went well that second time. Setup of each additional node went okay albeit way slower than you'd think it'd take to plug in and connect. Since working have had no connectivity issues at all -- on our old mesh network (cheap one) music streaming used to drop all the time, not so with this one. Rock solid connection and speed.

We've had several different routers and even had an extension but we never had the connection we have now with these. We have great speed and a full signal. We've only had them 1 month but so far, they have beat every other router we've ever had.

Great system. I've had no end of trouble keeping my Ring system connected to the Internet, but since I got this and can keep the link strong, it has worked fine. Even after the system goes down, it reconnects quickly without issue.

I finally have coverage that doesn't require me to switch between Wi-Fi and data on my phone while I'm at home. And I'll extended my range so I can use my Wi-Fi in the back yard as well. Love this system. The system was EXTREMELY EASY to set-up!

I was having a hard time deciding on which mesh set up to go with. I tried a wifi extender to get my wifi to reach the basement living room and bedroom but that didnt work. So I wanted to try a mesh set up and since I couldnt visit the stores was harder deciding without having a team member there to help. But this set up does everything I needed it to do and I love it. Provides perfect signal to my basement smart tv, bedroom smart tv,nintendo switch and both my ps4 pro and xbox one x with no problem. Able to stream my 4k movies with no issues using wifi and best of all I was able to set up my ps4 pro and xbox one x wired since each tower has 2 ethernet ports. I've had no problems with lag while playing call of duty or fortnite. Definitely suggest this set up to anyone looking to extend their wifi and still have a ethernet wire option.

My first mesh. Always had only 1 router, so coverage would drop at either end of the house. No longer. This product yields three WiFi bars everywhere. It was unexpectedly easy to set up (Linksys-Cisco has come a long way with their configuration software).

I just moved to a bigger house and once we got our internet form AT&T we noticed the router was not strong enough for all of our devices. I did some research and decided to purchase this mesh WiFi system. Setup was each and it works well.

I live in a two story house. My modem is located in a back bedroom upstairs which I use as my office. The wi-fi signal with just a standard single router was not strong enough to reach my living room television on the main floor in the front of the house. Originally I figured I would need to get a modem-router combo to have next to the tv. Instead a Best Buy associate told me about the Linksys Velop system. The first node was easy enough to set up but the second was even easier and only the first one has to be connected to the modem. I set up the second node at the bottom of the stairs and my wi-fi signal is now very strong in the entire house. I was also prompted to name my wi-fi during set up. Best decision I have made for my internet access was buying the Linksys Velop system. I even have a third node I can set up later in another part of the house.

This was easy to set up. It requires an app on your phone and a Linksys account. I have one in the basement, the kitchen, and the bedroom. I get super fast WiFi all over the house and in the yard. They are easy to hide too since they are small.

This Linksys system has been great. We needed our home wi-fi due to location of modem and weak signal for a doorbell and new solar system. Linksys was easy to set up and has performed better than expected. Good product and works great.

Budget level mesh router for low-mid service speed

This was a great budget level way of adding a mesh-network to my household. Household size of ~ 3,000 sq ft. Travels well through walls and upstairs providing a strong 5 ghz signal where a regular router would have diminished greatly. The phone app makes setting these up with ease, and expandable. Only downside is that this isn't the most powerful Velop devices, and would not be recommended for high speed services such as 1 Ghz speeds.

These are absolutely great. I have 5 nodes in my 3000sq ft house, easy bandwidth jumps/node jumps, and great app compatibility/configuration. HERE IS THE DOWN FLAW. IM SAYING THIS BECAUSE NOT ALL PEOPLE CAN AFFORD TO DO SO. These are great, under one reason and one reason only. And that is because all 5 of my nodes are all LAN/Ethernet hooked up. For every bluetooth node you connect, it is cutting your speed in half. I have 500 mb internet and because these are all hooked to ethernet from the modem (ran it through the ceiling and walls), i get my full internet what i pay for. The bluetooth is great, but you can’t expect 100%, and if you do, you are on crack. Bluetooth should only be used for your patio or bbq area to extend it a tad.
