I've been gaming for as long as I can remember. I have probably been through 20 or more headsets. This is by far the most comfortable, best sounding, and best microphone, on a gaming headset. The battery life is great, the distance of Bluetooth is also a nice bonus. It is more on the expensive side, but they were so good I even bought my girlfriend a pair!
Wow, that's an incredible endorsement for the A50 LIGHTSPEED! We're absolutely thrilled to hear that after a lifetime of gaming and countless headsets, this one stands out as the best for comfort, sound, and microphone quality. It's awesome that the battery life and Bluetooth range are also big wins for you. And the fact that you even snagged a pair for your girlfriend really speaks volumes! We're stoked you're both enjoying them.

As good as the Astro A50's

I bought these as a replacement for my Astro 50 Gen 4 headset. So far these are as good as the Astro's but the difference is you have to use the Logitech G-Hub and not the Astro command center. The use of USB-C is a major plus over the micro USB found on the Astro's but having to use the adaptor to plug the base into the wall compared to using only one Micro USB cable on the Astro base is a slight pain but given the Logitech can be used across all platforms from PC to Nintendo Switch with Xbox and Playstation is understandable. The only other slight annoyance I have with the logitech over the Astro is when you place the Logitech headset down they don't go to sleep unlike the Astro's where after a few seconds of being placed down they go to sleep. Overall if you're looking for a good headset and don't mind the steep price these are the way to go but wait till they go on sale to buy. There is the Logitech A50x but to me isn't worth the extra $100 just for the HDMI through put, these are the same without the HDMI through put.

Amazing sound quality. Very immersive. Also works great with other media types like music and movies. The app you can download gives you endless options for EQs to really dial in those footsteps if you’re playing an FPS. Or tweak the EQ for music and really get the bass bumping and the treble just right. Also the battery life is really good I’ve worn them for 10+ hours at a time without needing a charge and still probably had another few hours before they would’ve needed a charge. Also the mic quality is great you can also set an EQ on that as well. It’s a very versatile headset with many things to tinker with if you’re someone who truly loves audio.
Thanks for sharing your experience—it’s always a pleasure to hear from happy customers. We’re delighted that our product is serving you well and making a difference in your day-to-day routine. We appreciate your trust in Logitech.

At first I was skeptical about it especially with the price range but man do I love them. They connect to bluetooth and the game at the same time so if I am on the phone with someone I can also hear the game I am playing and them. The microphone quality is very clear and I like that the headphones are transparent rather than having like a noise canceling feature already active 24/7. They are also very light and weight close to nothing.

Great headset, complete upgrade from my old steel series arctis 7. It is a bit heavier but the sound profile is customizable and provides more depth. Battery life is great so no worries there. It is astonishing good looking headset and feels robust, the glossy finish is pleasing. It was 278$, so it might me out of price range for some but I feel like the 220-250 range suit the gaming community better.

Great Comfort and Sound

These are my first Astro headphones. Before purchasing these, I had used Hyperx headphones for years, rotating through their various product lines throughout the years as they would degrade and need replacing. These feel more premium, and the comfort is similar, although I would probably give these the edge in the comfort domain over the Cloud Alphas (the original ones, I am unsure how these would compare to the new ones). The sound is great, although I personally have tweaked the EQ to my liking using the logitech software, which hosts a plethora of community and official EQ’s to choose from. What I enjoy most about these headphones is the docking station. Not only does it provide you a good-looking home base for your expensive headphones, but it also will ensure you never have to worry about charging them, so long as you place the headphones onto the dock properly (you will see a light flashing on the headphones if placed properly, indicating that they are charging.) I also want to note that I initially purchased the steelseries Arctis Nova Pros, and exchanged them for these, and am personally enjoying the Astros much more. That said, it is worth noting that, unlike the Nova Pros, which have excellent noise cancellation, the Astros have virtually none, so you must be alright with hearing background noise to be satisfied with the Astros. The Steelseries also were nowhere near as comfortable as the Astros. Specifically, the ear cups were much too small and made my ears uncomfortable after just a few minutes of wear. Of course, the ear cups could be replaced, although the manufacturers of those seem to not have intended for them to be replaced, as you have to basically snap the ear cup off, and if not done right, the headphones could potentially break. Furthermore, the sound quality and noise cancellation take a hit from changing the stock earcups. With regard to the Astros, however, the ear cups have magnetic releases and can easily be changed for aftermarket ear cups, which I have read can improve noise cancellation, although I cannot verify that claim personally through experience. Ultimately, I thoroughly enjoy my Astros, and would recommend them to someone who plays on multiple consoles/PC, and is looking for a premium headset in the $300 range.

Feels like a great upgrade from Gen 4. Headset itself is more comfortable, sound is more clear across treble, middle, and bass pitches, and Logitech software is easier than previous Astro software.

Great Overall Gaming Headset

Pros: Great audio quality and ability to customize the sound through the Logitech mobile app. The ability to charge the headset on the stand ensures you'll never run out of battery in a gaming session.
Cons: The setup instructions could be better. I had to look up a YouTube video to make sure I did it correctly. I would also say that it was a bit annoying that the headset doesn't have separate volume controls for the Bluetooth and console connections. It would also help to have a better illustration of what the buttons do (e.g., I didn't know how to mute - done by moving the mic bar up).
Thanks for sharing your feedback on the A50! We appreciate you highlighting the excellent audio and customization options. We'll definitely look into improving the setup instructions and consider adding separate volume controls for Bluetooth and console connections. We're always striving to enhance the user experience.

So to preface i love this headset, this headset has by far onw of the best sound mics me or my friends have heard from a headset, and the fact you have three usb c port on the base charging station, that lets you plug in three different consoles and then wirelsessly use youre headset, is a god send, as someone with a pc, xbox, and ps5 having the ability to hop on discord, on any console while i play the game i want and still be able to chat to my friends without a loss in mic quality is awesome, now the reason i rated it 4/5 is because it loses a point in sound, granted everyones hearing is differant and in terms of music i love this tuning for edm, the headset is the bassiest headset i own, the problem is in games like clair obsure where fights have important audio cues to parry well, these did not preform well, and took me 3 hrs of playing in the eq app to finally get a passable good eq, so be warned if high quality, full range audio is a deal breaker and mic quality is not important go audeze maxwell or steelseries nova pro, but for the purpose of crossplatform gaming i have yet to find a better headset tbh,
Thanks for the detailed and honest review! We're thrilled the A50 LIGHTSPEED is delivering top-tier mic quality and seamless cross-platform support. Your EQ feedback is noted—we’re always working to improve audio tuning for all types of gameplay.

The sound quality of these are very good for gaming but they aren’t going to be as good as Sennheisers. If you are using them for watching videos it’s also good for that. They are very comfortable, with cheaper headsets I would always have my head start hurting after acouple of hours due to tension or just bad build quality but you don’t get that with the A50’s. The battery life is also very long you can game all day and well into the night without charging them. Overall a very good product and a very good buy if you are over cheaper built headsets.
It’s wonderful to hear that our product is meeting your needs. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps us continue to innovate. Thanks for being part of the Logitech community.

The headphones are great for gaming, I do somewhat notice sound is bit more crispy in CS2. Pretty comfy as well. I'm not a huge audiophile so listening to music sounds fine.
If price is a factor.. There are better options that I have used (AKG K712 Pro, beyerdynamic 770/990, Sennheiser (Drop PC38X), etc.). Only reason I bought the Astro A50 this time was because I wanted something different and the bluetooth/wireless was something I waited years to try.
I would recommend to use a different mic/studio mic. I have never used the microphone because I hear bad things about the microphone, and have also heard how bad it sounds from my friends when they used the microphone.
Thank you for sharing this detailed review. It's great to hear that you're enjoying the headphones for gaming and found them to be comfortable.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective, including the comparison to other options you've used. Your feedback is very valuable to us. We hope you continue to have great experiences with your new wireless setup.

Im still having trouble finding the right spot for in game and chat volume other than that I have no issues with it. Comfy loud the base is really nice to have.
Thanks for the honest feedback! We're glad you're enjoying the comfort, sound quality, and base station of the A50 Gen 5. For adjusting in-game and chat volume, try using the Logitech G HUB software or the Logitech G mobile app—both offer fine-tuning options to balance game and voice audio to your liking

The Astro A50 is easily one of the best headsets I’ve used. Setup is simple, and switching between console and PC is quick and smooth. You will need an extra USB-C cable if you want to avoid swapping the base station connection between devices, but once you’ve got that, it’s seamless.
The sound quality is fantastic — rich detail with strong bass that makes games, music, and voice chat all sound amazing. What really surprised me, though, is the mic. It’s easily the clearest and most natural-sounding microphone I’ve had on any headset. My friends immediately noticed the difference in call quality.
Thanks for sharing such a glowing review of the Astro A50! It’s great to hear how seamless the setup and device switching are, especially with the added USB-C tweak. The standout sound quality and surprisingly clear mic seem to take your gaming and chatting experience to the next level. Your feedback paints a vivid picture of why this headset stands out.

Pros: Best wireless headset I could find for the price. The mic quality is good, the audio is good, the price is better since the removal of the HDMI. Range is good, better than I expected.
Cons: The mic can only be used on the left side, the range of motion doesn't allow it to come down in both directions. Coming from a pair of Sennheisers, I'm not overly impressed with the A50 batteries, and I expect them to be tricky to change out when the time comes. Also, the dock requires the headset always be placed in the same orientation, not sure why they couldn't make it reversible. Clamping force of the headset is a bit firm, with no way to adjust, but I expect it to loosen up after a few weeks.
Thanks for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and balanced review. We're glad to hear the headset is delivering solid performance and value, especially with the audio and range. We appreciate your detailed insights on the design and usability—feedback like yours helps us keep improving. Here's hoping the fit becomes more comfortable with time and that the headset continues to serve you well!

The Logitech A50 LIGHTSPEED Gen 5 headset is honestly awesome. The sound quality is super clear and immersive, whether you’re gaming, watching videos, or chatting with friends. You can hear footsteps and small details really well, which makes a big difference in competitive games.
It’s really comfortable too—even during long gaming sessions—and the wireless connection is rock solid with no noticeable lag. The base station is a nice touch since it keeps the headset charged and makes switching between Xbox, PS5, PC, or Switch really easy.
Mic quality is clear, battery life is great, and overall it just feels premium and well-built. If you want a high-end wireless headset that works across multiple systems without hassle, this one’s totally worth it.
Thanks for the kind words! We’re proud to know our product is making a difference. Your feedback keeps us moving forward.

This has to be the best headset I've ever owned. No wire or dongle swapping when switching between consoles and/or PC. Simultaneous Bluetooth from your phone while gaming.
If you plan on using this for multiple consoles you'll have to get additional USB cables for each one, as it only comes with one. Otherwise you have to switch the one USB which defeats the purpose of this headset.
Range is decent. I can usually get 40 ft away before it cuts out. And then the main culprit is the fridge. If I'm fast enough when I grab a beer it won't lose connection LOL.
My only complaint is not knowing which device the headset is set to without looking at the base station. It has one button you toggle through to change devices. Ideally it should have a slider or something that you can check without having to get up and look at the base station.
For that reason, I downgraded from 6 stars to 5 !
