Horrid software ruins what could be great headset

Build quality is great, very comfortable, USB-C charging, Blue voice software. Sounds like an amazing package. Unfortunately, Logitech's software and drivers ruin the experience. I've tried these headsets on 4 different computers and all have had issues #1 & 2 - Mac Laptop on Big Sur and Catalina. Same symptoms G Hub software always says you need to unplug and re-plug the device and doesn't show up in the OS list of sound device. Manually removing the kernel extension that Logitech installs at least makes it work as a generic headset, but all the customization and Blue software in G Hub won't work. #3 - Dell Laptop - Windows 10. Each time you connect, 50/50 chance that the headset will work. Sometimes get picked up with the Logitech driver and works. Sometimes get picked up by Intel Smart Audio for USB and doesn't work. Doesn't seem to be a pattern, just pure luck. Tried installing/reinstalling drivers, etc, always a crap shoot. #4 - Alienware desktop - Windows 10. At least on this machine, the device is always recognized for what it is, but the microphone randomly goes into periods of complete walls of static. It looks like gain control is doing weird things and swinging between normal and amplifying the smallest thing. All in all, this had been a complete disappointment for a product I wanted to love. This $200 headset is now relegated to gather dust in a drawer.

Posted .Hello AndrewS! Sorry to hear you're having issues with your G PRO X Wireless DTS Headphone:X 2.0 Gaming Headset. Definitely doesn't sound like the experience we'd like you to have with one of our latest and greatest headsets. If you haven't done so already, I'd suggest possibly uninstalling and reinstalling G Hub on the PC where you had static issues with the mic (the Alienware), and making sure the mic is also fully pushed it, sometimes it seems like it is, but you would feel like a click when it's fully connected. That might solve your issue there. For the Dell Laptop, it seems like something might be interfering with the connectivity, maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling the Intel Smart Audio driver, that's a possibility as well. On the Mac side, G Hub is more recent to those platform, so more firmware updates to come down the line should hopefully fix the issues you're experiencing there. The G PRO X Wireless Headset is truly an awesome product, but if you're still not getting the experience you should be getting from them, and you feel something might be defective, know that they are backed by a 2-year warranty from Logitech, so simply go to the product's page https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-audio/pro-x-wireless-headset.html and click on Support at the top if needed. - Mathieu from Logitech

Great sound, even comes with different earpiece covers if you don't like leather. The USB makes it pretty easy to switch from my computer to my Switch dock without having to take the headset off. Only drawback is that if you don't have a USB port on your gaming system, you have to plug it in with the headphone jack (but it comes with an extra wire for you jic)

Only problem I’ve ran into just short of two years is a worn battery. Highly recommend spending the money on it when on sale (typically on the expensive side compared to other options) Not sure how it functions on anything other than PC.

I got them for my fiancé as she’s a new gamer and wanted to make sure she had everything she needed to be decent/get better. The sound is good with playing games like Warzone. Footsteps and everything come very clear. The only problem I think there is with the header is the mic.. it always seems to drift away from her mouth and I have to tell her to either talk louder or move the mic closer to her mouth. Tbh, this could be because she has a biggo head so I’m still giving it a 5-star review. But when the mic is just right, the voice sound is really great!

Best Wireless Headphones I've had yet

My ear rubs on the inside of the ear hole from time to time but other than that these things are great. The battery last about 3 days before I need to charge it and if you forget to turn your headset off with the switch it auto shuts off after no being in use after awhile. The ear pads are very comfortable against your head and the blue voice technology is really cool and it fits my head pretty comfortably. I have only had this product for a couple weeks but so far best wireless headset I have worn or owned.
