The keyboard and mouse come well packed in the box and wrapped in a cloth protective cover. The ease of setup is well thought out. Instructions are clearly visible on the box and they put the Bluetooth toggle prominently displayed on the box itself. There is a place to store it in the mouse battery compartment and it is nice that it keeps anyone from being confused on where it is located. Once you pull the battery protect pull tabs out of the keyboard it is ready to go. The mouse needs the same thing tab pulled and the switch turned to on. Once you connect the Bluetooth doggle to your computer both are ready to go with no additional steps needed. The keyboard and mouse have just the right amount of weight to them and don't feel flimsy like similar sized devices. The mouse is very comfortable and the movement is smooth and controllable. There are two programable buttons on the side if you if you wish to download the Logi software and configure. I had no issues at all using right out of the box and the keyboard is compact, but the right size to type with ease. The keys are responsive and you have a number keypad as well. The keyboard stands are sturdy and give it just the right amount of tilt. It provides full size features in a compact footprint that keeps your desk free and tidy.

It seems my daily work flow includes more and more online meetings and my mechanical keyboard was starting to become a problem with its loud clicking. The opportunity to try the new Logitech MK955 Signature Slim Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo came as perfect timing. When I set it up on my desk the first thing I noticed was how much more space I had. Right away the combo gave my desk a more modern sleek look and I also didn’t need my padded wrist wrest any longer due to the short overall height. The keyboard feels mostly solid although there is a small bit of flex. Typing is virtually silent with a laptop feel to the keys. The keyboard layout includes the number pad and is identified for Windows and Macs. Using the Logi Options you can also change many of the keys for other than their current functions. Logitech has relabeled the Windows key with one that says Start. It works the same as a normal windows key. The mouse is heavier than I expected and has a good quality feel. You can change the mouse cursor DPI with a button which is a function I do use for picture editing. Paring with the included dongle was plug and play for the most part. I am using the dongle and am also connected over Bluetooth with my Android tablet that I use as a second screen. I did have issues recognizing the keyboard when installing the Logi Options software but that was resolved on a newer release that auto updated my prior install. As a mechanical keyboard user I am struggling with my typing speed a bit but it is getting better. So far the experience has been good. And I look forward to the excellent battery life Logitech is known for. I did have a few issues that are probably mostly unique to my workstation. I use a KVM switch to switch between several computers. I have had some connection issues. It seems to be mostly cleared up with the updated Logi Options software. Some of my key presses have been repeated but I am not sure that it is just me not yet having the feel I normally do. There are a lot of affordable wireless mouse and keyboards available at all price ranges. I always recommend thinking about your use case. In my case I needed a full featured quality keyboard that was quiet. I also will be using the software to make the experience unique as I improve my typing feel and I am liking being able to button switch between devices that I would otherwise have to reach for.

I have a MX Keys combo for home and grabbed this MK955 combo for work since they are very similar. The MK955 combo is an economical option at about half the price of the MX Keys combo. You can pair up to 3 devices making easy to swap between a laptop, desktop, tablet or even a phone using the Bluetooth capability with a press of a button on the mouse and keyboard. The 2.4ghz transceiver is included but I prefer Bluetooth. The keyboard is a typical 110 key style with numpad. It’s thin and lightweight and almost backpack ready… that is if you have a tall enough bag. In comparison the MX Keys, while similar in size, is quite a bit heavier and I wouldn’t care to lug it around. Even as a low profile unit there is adequate travel on the keys with decent tactile feel with very minimal flex. Even the spacing helps me reduce the hitting multiple keys while typing. The Windows and Alt keys are dual labeled with Opt and Cmd allowing for easy use for both Windows and Mac systems. The fn function keys add typical media control with a few bonus functions such as emojis, speech to text, multiple window switching. The numpad even has a key to pull up the Windows calculator and another for snipping tool. The 6 button mouse is comfortable in your hand if you are right handed. If you are left-handed the mouse still is comfortable however you pretty much lose the 2 left side buttons unless you are adept with the pinky finger on your left hand. At time of righting this I’m unsure if Logitech will provide a left-handed option but it’s possible. While the combo isn’t rechargeable it does come with 2 AAA batteries for the keyboard and 1 AA battery for the mouse. You can supply your own rechargeable AAA and AA batteries if you wish. If you download the Logi Options software you get the most out of this combo. The app allows you to customize commands and add shortcuts to make your most often used tasks easy. My only gripe is no backlighting/lighting on either device. Call me spoiled but I’ve become really reliant on backlighting but if that’s not a concern for you then I think you will love this combo. It’s great for work and superior in every way that the cheap peripherals provided with a typical company provided computer or cheapest of cheap home computer systems.

Thanks for the MK955 review! Sounds like a great budget-friendly option with multi-device pairing, comfort, and customization via Logi Options. While we understand the preference for backlighting, it keeps the MK955 affordable. Great work setup upgrade!

    Great Keyboard/Mouse Combo

This keyboard and mouse combo is a replacement of a smaller keyboard and mouse. After a couple months, I determined it was time to go back to a full sized keyboard and mouse. The install setup was very east via logi bolt. The instructions was right there in the packaging and everything worked on the first attempt. The last time I tried to connect a keyboard and moise combo via logi bolt it was a nightmare. Good job to logiitech for the huge improvement. The mouse was very comfortable and egronomic in my hand. The two buttons on the left side work as they're supposed to for navigation. The scroll wheel also does it's job. The keyboard was very nice, the keys did not make any noise which is important to some people I guess. I wished the keyboard was backlight though. Since this is not my first logitech keyboard I am already used to the esc/fn button functionality and the opt/start and cms/alt buttons. I also setup this combo with my andriod tablet and switching between it and my laptop was a breeze. I am giving this keyboard and mouse combo five stars, even though I wished the keyboard was backlit.

This is a full sized keyboard with number pad on the side. It's not only compatible with all operating systems, you can connect to 3 different computers at the same time. One computer will be connected via USB and two via Bluetooth, same connectivity for the included mouse. (Batteries included for both.) Switching over from computer to laptop to tablet, Windows to Apple to Linux, is an effortless transition. The connection is flawless as well taking no time to switch and operate devices. The keyboard has thin, quiet, and mappable keys while the mouse also has mappable buttons for a customized experience. There is a on/off switch for each device to save the battery life, hence the proclaimed 36 month battery life of the keyboard and 24 month of the mouse. The mouse itself has a smooth glide and a quiet click, however I feel it's a bit small for my hands. Otherwise, it is a very good quality mouse. The versatility of the mouse/keyboard combo makes it a must buy for all computer users.

This new set from logitech is clearly designed with a particular user in mind. That is the person who works from home on a work device and wants to also with their personal home device. Setup Logi+ options software on both devices, sync the mouse and keyboard and voila. You can seamlessly move between work and home pc's with the same mouse and keyboard and also copy and paste between machines. I found syncing the keyboard to the logi+ software a little buggy but it did eventually work. With a single keypress you can fully switch between saved PCs/Laptops, same with the mouse on the bottom. Mouse can hold two dpi settings, no free scrolling though which is a shame. Keyboard is a very lowkey slim model which is obvious from the name of it, but I found hitting the keys for work credentials. Maybe I'm just a slim keyboard guy but I found I missed my keystrokes more often than not. If you want the slim keyboard and the ability to work seamlessly between multiple systems than this is your setup. At the price point it feels worthwhile for the options you get along with it.

Cheaper version of the MX Key with M650L mouse

Pro: Long battery life Mouse clicks are quiet Con: Uses AAA batteries Mouse is small and not ergonomic Keys feels like hard plastic Not compatible with older devices using Unifying receiver The Keyboard This is a cheaper and more plasticky version of the Logi MX Keys. It still has the same heft and the ability to connect up to three separate devices, either through the receiver or bluetooth; but there are some differences, however. First, it runs on batteries rather than being rechargeable. It also lacks key illumination and a few of the function keys are changed. It also now has flip out feet. While there’s nothing wrong with the keyboard functionally, and the build quality is still good, the keys just don't feel great to type on. They are harder plastic and the actuation is stiffer so it just feels like I’m hitting the keys harder. The Mouse This is almost identical as the Logi M650L, and simply put, it’s quiet but too small. First the positives. Like the keyboard, it can connect up to three separate devices. The buttons are soft and near silent, much like their other recent mice in the MX line. It has the free spin scroll wheel which is a feature every mouse should have. The negative is that it feels small. I have small hands, and even then only the top part of my palm is on the mouse, with the rest of my hand hanging off. It’s just not ergonomic and my hand will get cramped trying to keep a grip on it. It also needs a battery. Logi Options+ I don’t really use the Options+ other than to change some settings for the devices. Two useful features are the Flow and Smart Actions. Flow lets you use the same devices across multiple computers. Smart Actions are programmable macros. Summary There’s nothing terrible with this set, and it might be alright if you’re not typing for long periods of time and don’t need to constantly use the mouse. Build quality seems good, even though it’s mostly plastic. The keys are hard plastic and typing on it gets uncomfortable after a while. The mouse is too small even though it has nice features. Personally, I’d rather get the MX Keys Slim for a bit more or get a bigger mouse.

The board was light weight and very slim. I prefer higher profile keys; I would have adapted them, but the mouse in the combo I did not like. There was no tactile feedback on the mouse. I need something to tell I clicked... I was not seeking a quiet option.
