bought after I bought my Surface Pro 4. you actually have to bend it for the mouse to turn on. to turn it off you bend it so its flat. i think that's pretty cool and convenient. since its flat when its off it fits easily into my tablet sleeve with my SP4. it works instantly when you bend it, doesn't take a second or two to communicate with my SP4 which is a plus. it connects to my SP4 via bluetooth so you need bluetooth on in order for it to work, but that's no biggie for me.
the clicking sound is just a tad bit nousy. considering its a sleek looking mouse i didn't expect it to make a noisey sound when you click on things but i guess that's just a small and minor detail. but if you're using it all day it just might annoy you. for that reason i'm giving it 4 out 5 stars.
all in all a great mouse.

This mouse is great! I love that I can flatten it out to turn it off and it slips into my tablet case without a huge bulge. Using Bluetooth means no small adapter to lose. Very accurate and big enough for my large hands.

This mouse it is great for a person who is looking to get a compact mouse for on the go. The bluetooth connectivity helps keep the only usb port on the surface open to use for a flash-drive. The mouse isn't entirely ergonomic and takes some getting used to, I found using three fingers is most comfortable.

I bought this mouse to use while not at a location comfortable enough to use a full size mouse. This conveniently folds flat and is about as thin as my surface pro 4, so it works out nicely. I did try to do some moderate gaming with it and it performed fairly well, but I wouldn't rely on it for a FPS such as Overwatch or Counter Strike. Wish the mouse was rechargeable, but since the mouse automatically turns off when its folded flat, the battery life is pretty long even with disposables.

Bought for husband's laptop, We both love the fact that it frees up a USB port and works solely on Bluetooth connectivity. It was easy to pair with his HP Spectre 360x laptop, and is quite comfortable to use for large or small hands. It has excellent touch sensitivity for quickly navigating webpages or lengthy online documents. It folds flat for easy packing during transport, too. We are very pleased with this purchase.

The Arc Mouse is so stealth I can put in my pocket and the creative way to turn it on and off is truly unique. It functions like a tradition mouse without all the bulk and buttons.

I love this new Surface wireless mouse. It is one of a kind and was recommended to me. I like that I can flatten it out to fit into the pocket of my purse. Travels easily and turns itself off when I flatten in out. Very good handling all types of services. I have not seen one better than this!

The Best Portable Mouse Ever!

Since the flexible design collapses when off, it gets really compact and easy to carry. It can also save battery if you make it collapse when you are not using it. The only issue is it frequently turns off automatically even while you are using it. So, when this happens, I would need to make it collapse and turn it on. This could be due to bad connection of Bluetooth?

Like the title says, this is hands down the best mouse you could get for a Surface tablet or any computer.
Pros:
- Does not take a USB port
- Super ergonomic
- Tactile feed back
- Extremely slim and portable
- lightweight
- comfortable to use
- on and off by simply folding it up or down
- great battery life (haven't replaced yet and I use it daily for hours on end)
Cons:
- Sometimes I have to reboot it (power cycle the mouse) to get the tactile feedback to work again after extended use
- more expensive than most computer mice (but worth it!)

This a great mouse for the Surface. It pairs easily to the Surface 2 Tablet. It turns on and off automatically as you bend it from flat to the arc position and then back. When flat it handily stores in my Surface carry bag. It's very responsive and works on almost every surface without issue. My only negative comment is that it's on the expensive side.

This mouse may be more expensive than some other choices, but Microsoft really hit it out of the park on this one for usability in its intended scenario. I bought this mouse for use with my Surface Pro 4 during business travel and it has surpassed my expectations. The mouse folds flat for easy packing in a bag or briefcase and snaps into the curved position you see in the pictures when you're ready to use it. This also acts as a power switch, so that mouse if turned off when flat - great for saving the battery. The device paired easily with my SP4 and has worked perfectly every time I turned it on. Tracking is smooth and accurate and the touch gesture based scroll functionality works fine too and even incorporates some adjustable haptic feedback. I've used the device across many surfaces, including some reflective ones which have been a problem for other optical mice, and this one has never failed on any of them.
There is a free companion app in the Windows 10 app store which provides some modest customization options, mostly focused on the touch gesture senor.
The only issue I've had is that the gesture scroll function stopped working once. Turning the mouse off and on again solved the issue.
Highly recommend this for users of Surface tablets and other laptops where you find yourself needing a mouse for spreadsheets or other applications.

When I got my Surface Pro 4, since there is only 1 USB port, I immediately began looking for a bluetooth mouse that was portable, yet big enough to fit in my hand comfortably (my hands aren't extremely large, but they are bigger than average). When I found the Microsoft Arc Mouse, I was a little skeptical at first, until I actually used it. The size is just right and it fits nicely in the palm of my hand. It also works on any surface that I have tried to use it on with no delays or challenges whatsoever (wood, tile, marble counter). Plus, the price was right as Best Buy is always good about price matching Amazon. The only drawback that I found initially is that this mouse is battery powered and not rechargeable. However, i quickly got over that due to the absolutely ingenious way that the mouse works - straighten it out, and it is off and basically flat for easy storage in a laptop sleeve or backpack/computer bag. Want to turn it on? All you have to do is bend it and click it in place! So far, this has been a truly remarkable mouse and it functions perfectly for what i need.

This mouse packs small because it packs flat when you're not using. It turns on when you bend it to use, turns off when flattened. I like the touch scroll wheel, responds to acceleration. Bluetooth is nice because it doesn't use up a USB port. Not cheap.

I am a die-hard Logitech fan and user, but this mouse is a superb example of form AND function. It works extremely well on a variety of surfaces, and it causes my hand less fatigue than most other mice. It is also very portable, which is important to me as a constant road warrior. Battery life is outstanding. This mouse should win some design awards!

I got this mouse as a companion to my 1st gen Surface Pro, and it has stood up to every-day use, travel in a backpack, and the rigors of college life. It hooks up seamlessly to my Surface with bluetooth enabled, and is picked up and registered immediately when it is turned on (just fold it into its normal curved shape to turn it on, or flat to turn it off), and I haven't had to change the included batteries yet after several weeks of use. The flat "scroll wheel" provides tactile feedback without having any moving external parts (haptic or vibrating feedback like you might have on your phone) instead of a traditional scroll wheel.
The sensor is highly responsive, and works on any surface that is not clear glass or a mirrored surface.
The only thing that I could ask for on future versions would be additional navigation buttons on the side of the mouse where your thumb rests.
Overall, this is an awesome mouse for anyone who has a surface, and wants the added functionality of a regular mouse, without wanting to use a separate dongle (not required or included with this mouse), or tying up your USB port with a wired mouse. Highly recommended.

First I'll let you know that I got a Dell bluetooth mouse in a package deal with my laptop. It worked for a while then lost connection that I couldn't reestablish. Dell sent me a replacement, but it was the same, so I returned it & began looking for a new mouse.
I saw this one in the store when I was shopping for something else. It was an open box deal, so I decided to buy it. I'm glad I did. This mouse works very well & is excellent for travel.
It has a great design - it's default shape is flat & it is off in that form. When you're ready to use it the back half folds into an arc to make the typical mouse shape. This also turns the mouse on. It's very responsive & the scroll works very well. Though the scroll is flat (not a wheel) it clicks as you slide your finger along it, which is better than my previous mouse, which gave no tactile feedback. The fact that you can flatten it out makes it really portable.
The mouse is powered by 2 AAA batteries located on the underside of the solid (non-bending) part of the body. I would've preferred an intergrated, rechargeable battery with a USB cord, as my previous mouse had, but that's minor. I have had the mouse about 5 months now & it's still running on the 2 Duracells that were in it when I bought it. I don't know if batteries are normally included or if that was due to it being open box.
The one complaint I have is, as I have heard, common to bluetooth mice, it drops connection after a while. This may be a deal breaker for some, as it is rather annoying. The good news is that it is not permanent as was the case with my Dell mouse. Sometimes when it goes out, I move it around a bit it picks back up. When that fails I flatten it out, turning off the mouse, then turn it back on by curving the "tail" and it reconnects, no problem.

I use this mouse with my Surface Pro 3, even though I have the (awesome) stylus and it has a touchscreen. I hate the touchpads that are built into keyboards, so an external mouse has always been a must. However, most are large and not ideal to take along when going from home to the office to the boardroom to the coffee house and then back home. Some "travel-sized" mice are too small which made me feel like I was using an acorn shell to navigate the cursor. The Arc provides a bistructural utilitarian ergonomic design. When arched, the mouse is on, ready for use. The curved shape fits perfectly in the palm. The mouse is turned off when it is switched to its flat formatio - saving battery life and allowing it to easily fit into a pocket (bag, case, tote, purse, pants, jacket, etc.).

I really like design, fold flat to store easily and that also turns off the mouse. Buttons operate well, pairs with Surface Pro no problem. Responds well to movement on differing surfaces/desktop material, ie wood, metal, Formica. Only thing I don't like is the 'scroll wheel', its a special flat piece in between the buttons and you slide finger up & down to mimic scroll wheel motion. But the feel is not natural and it makes a fake clicking noise that gets to be somewhat annoying.
Overall I like it and will keep using it.

This mouse works very well and is super light and thin. Plus since it uses bluetooth, it doesnt need a usb slot. Since stores flat it is also handy for travel.
