    The Best Fitness Band Available

I am a pretty active person, involved in running, biking and weight lifting multiple times per week. I have tried about all the different brands of activity trackers and smartwatches available over the past year, and this one has by far been the most useful for my lifestyle. Good battery life (average of two days battery life, unless you activate the GPS on a run, then you will need to recharge that night) and a slew of sensors to give you data. There are really only three negative comments that I have about the Band: 1) It is a bit bulky on the wrist, so be prepared to take it off to put on some long sleeve shirts 2) A screen protector should have come standard with the device, because if you do not use one your display will be filled with scratches immediately 3) Lack of apps - however Microsoft recently opened up the code to programmers, so hopefully over the coming months this will be remedied.

Nice device to track your fitness activites. Does as it says. My favorite thing it does is track my sleep. I work a overnight job, so sleep tracking is important to me. This band is cool in many ways, tracking sleep, distance ran, distance walked, time spent weightlifting, constant heart rate monitoring, elevation changes, UV sensor to tell you how long it will take to get sun burnt, email notifier, text reader, weather checker, and Facebook notifications. My only problem is comfort and durability. Comfort feels awkward due to the shape of the band. The large screen read out is easily scratched so buy a screen protector. Overall quality of the product doesn't hold up well since it is only splash/sweat resistant. And the housing of the sides seem to only wear out with in two months exposing sensitive parts of the band. Also I noticed that the metal used around the charging area and heart monitor began to peel and or bubble when worn during workouts. Not impressed on durableness after two months of everday minimal use.

So far I love this $199 band. I have had many different bands, and have had this one now for about 2 months, and don't see going back at all! A few things to say about it: Step accuracy: I counted steps manually several times, and even did that while carrying boxes and groceries to and from the car - it worked perfectly, and kept an accurate count. I even tried fooling it by rocking back and forth a few times, and it didn't count these fake steps. Very sophisticated. Charging: It lasts 2-3 days, depending on what you are doing. However, it charges quite fast, so occasionally when sitting at the computer I take it off and charge, or simply charge while in the shower, and I have only run out of juice once when I forgot and wore it in the shower. I wish: That there were more apps and partners. That the HR monitor could alert me to target zone entry/exit. That the HR value on the screen could be displayed persistently. But these are all possible with software updates, and they are obviously being pretty aggressive about the improvements. With 10 sensors, there is amazing potential here, and I don't see it getting obsolete for quite some time! My fitbit is lonely, sitting in a dark drawer every day, all by itself... Phone integration: Love, love, love this. it was not a consideration at all for me when I bought it. In fact, I thought it was a little ridiculous. However, now I get a txt or notification, I see it immediately, without taking phone out of pocket, or running into a different room. It is kind of freeing, actually. If you have Windows Phone, the Cortana integration (which I discovered by accident) is a real plus! I can set location dependent reminders, etc. Fit: I cannot wear a watch, and haven't worn one for years. This has a very light, comfortable fit, and it takes a couple days before I am annoyed by it, and taking it off for a few minutes every day during a shower is plenty. I think it is because of the stiffer band, and how it fits around wrist bones, etc., that makes it so comfortable. I can see how this could possibly be uncomfortable for others, so best just to try in store if you can. Heart rate: This is quite accurate, and almost perfectly matches what I see on the machines. I did have to start wearing it face down, however, which puts the heart rate monitor directly on the underside of the wrist. Otherwise, it was losing connection for me, and averaging at 30 seconds, would always be low. Sleep tracking: This was one of the main things I bought it for. I have used the sleep tracking and health app to plot my sleep over time, and I can see it getting better every day through my diet and exercise program. Would be great if the Health App actually plotted it for you and drew a graph vs having to do so in Excel. I am a big fan of this so far, and Microsoft is pushing out updates fairly often, so it only gets better from here. Biggest drawback is not being able to swim with it, although it is documented as water resistant.

While I had a few issues getting started as the instructions were lacking and customer assistance was difficult, I was assigned a customer rep who got me set up and followed up several times to make sure everything was working properly. Once it was working properly, the Microsoft Band has been great. It is comfortable, lightweight, and functional. It has a variety of tiles one can set up for his or her particular preferences. While looking for a lifestyle monitor (exercise, steps, heart rate, sleep, etc.), the syncing with my iPhone has made it easier for me to check incoming calls, emails, and texts with a subtle turn of the wrist (or if I leave my phone in the office). Also connects to MyFitnessPal and shares information. Great device. While I did not have experience with other devices, the features and technology in this product stood out and were worth the pricing difference. Was very happy with my purchase decision.

well priced for a device that tracks everything. plus as a windows phone user it's one of the few that works so well with all my phone features as a second screen. my only minor gripe is that the watch face is little too long and straight and has a limited sweet spot to fit comfortably on my wrist. but compared to the other types of this device i've tried it's no better or worse in that area.

I was originally skeptical about this band from Microsoft, but I always had a curiosity about there products. Even bought a windows phone just to try something new. Either way though I have the nike plus watch I wanted something with a heart rate monitor, and I didn't want to spend $350.00 and wait for the apple watch. I must say this product is great so far. It connects easily with my iphone 6 plus. The only bad thing I have to say is make sure you get a screen protector for it. It scratches very easily. Other than that I am more than happy with my purchase.

I own a Pebble watch, a Moto360 and a Nike Fuel band, and yet, I prefer my Microsoft band over all of them. Why? It does everything the others do, only better. It's the best heart rate monitor of the bunch, AND it's the best at monitoring my sleep patterns. Plus, it does all of the other smart watch stuff, like notify me of emails, texts, appointments and more. It even has a microphone in it so I can ask Cortana questions (with a Windows phone) and dictate responses to messages and emails. And it's crazy comfortable with a great battery life. I find myself wearing it 24 hours a day!

I researched fitness bands extensively. I wanted it to include smart watch features and a heart rate monitor, but not cost an arm and a leg. The Microsoft Band fit both requirements perfectly and functions exactly as advertised even though I use an iPhone. The step tracker seem accurate, the GPS for jogs is fantastic and I absolutely love the heart rate tracker. It's like my own personal trainer that I don't want to disappoint. I can also read full texts, emails and other notifications right on my wrist. This device is fantastic.

The Band does everything as advertised, and then some. GPS with or without a phone is reliable, quite accurate and easy to use. Heart rate monitor functions full time (if you want it to). A full charge lasts one & a half to 2 days, though much less with GPS active. 'Upside: the Band charges quickly 60-80 minutes for a full charge. Ten or fifteen minutes USB'd to a PC are enough for several hours' operation. Notifications: vibration for email, text, phone calls, calendar, Cortana. Voice recognition for text reply, Cortana. The miniature keyboard actually works, given that it fits on a wrist-wearable sized watch face. I don't vouch for sleep tracking data. Not wrong, just no objective way to verify outside of a pricey clinical sleep test. The phone app (I have a Lumia 635) is nicely done! Stats, route mapping, bicycle ride tracking, all easy to enable and look to be accurate. Bluetooth pairing and synch are painless. The web-based dashboard application for Windows (other OS's as well I understand) is pretty robust, easy to use. Band is steal at $ 200 bucks.

I have had this product about 6 weeks, and I really enjoy this product, it not only keeps track of fitness measurements, steps, heart rate monitor, and work out programs, notification via vibration, it also gives me a vibration when Iy get an email, call, or text message. The battery lasts about 2 days, and it was recently updated by Microsoft, so my assumption is that will continue.

This device can read your heart rate, calories burned, distance, sleep. It has a GPS to track your run or walk. You can get text, email, facebook alerts on your wrist. It tracks calories burned during a workout. This is the closest thing youll get to an IWATCH for 200 buck. Well worth it.

I've had a few fitness trackers and this is the best one so far, great display and easy to use, very customizable speciallly if you download the apps available for it. The app for the band itself is pretty good and easy to navigate but I will say other brands have better apps for their bands but still a lot of good information I just wish it matched the band design, it isn't waterproof which is a downer but I do not swim so it's ok, I charge it when I take my shower and that will last for me until the next shower, battery is suppose to last 24hrs and it does, overall amazing band for less than $200 you can't beat that!

I bought this device to replace an older Fitbit and because I own a Windows phone I wanted something to work with that. The Band is a little bulky but I love the ability to view messages/email as well as other tracking activities such as workouts, golf courses and weather. I will probably use this as long as I have my Windows phone but if I switch to Android or possibly iPhone I may choose another Smartwatch option.

Microsoft's Band is quite under-rated by many sites and people, however I have found it to be comfortable (hardly weighing more than a normal watch) and have quite a few useful features. It is a band that has a 2+ day battery life and works with any platform our there at the moment (Windows, Android & iOS). This makes it quite unique that your wearable tech doesn't have to be upgraded if you decide to switch to a different phone later, unlike the Samsung Gear that I had (which had to be paired with a Samsung Device). Keeps a great log of all of the information and syncs easily with the phone. Has a Starbucks app for it that lets you pay with the watch ... I don't use it, but others find it useful. The Cortana integration is great, and once you get used to replying with the onscreen keyboard, that's nice as well. I do wish it came in other colors or had a swappable band, but since the battery is part of the band that would probably be a bit difficult for them. And maybe with the second version they could work on making it waterproof.

I already had a Fitbit Charge HR, but as a Windows fan found quick appeal with the introduction of the Windows Band. The Band is a bit larger than Fitbit's products, but has many more sensors. The screen was bright and color was a great addition. In the end, I returned it thought because the band size challenged accessing the device while wearing long sleeve dress shirts to work daily. The clincher, though, was when I could not synch the Band with Android tablet devices. It worked with my Windows PC and my Android phone, but required a cell signal to synch. My fitbit synchs with all of my devices. I am sure the next versions released will hit the sweet spot of meeting all of my preferred needs. I did get about 2 days battery life without using the GPS feature or the always on watch setting. I would recommend this product so long as my ability to synch across devices was more universal.

Pretty comfortable, as I wear face down. For $3 I purchased a face protector from E-Bay. Addicted to watching how many steps I take a day. I get a day and a half of battery watch if I wear bend when sleeping. Interested in I Watch, but did not want first editions so I bought Band. Would purchase again.

I purchased the Microsoft Band right out of the gate. There are plenty of features to be excited about: Precise exercise data, versatile tile apps, sleek design that is also durable, works well with the Microsoft Health App. There are three drawbacks to the Microsoft Band: 1.) It's not waterproof! I would expect a $200 sport watch to be waterproof. It's a shame I won't be able to use this while swimming. 2.) No speaker. I thought it would have one and it's my bad for not doing the research but it would be great to hear Cortana reply through the band or carry on a phone conversation. 3.) Cortana: I love the Windows Phone functionality of Cortana, unfortunately, that has not translated to her version on the Band. The Band Cortana does very little. It's only use seems to be replying to texts by voice. Overall though, this product is a well designed and durable first step. Give me a speaker and make it waterproof and it'll be perfect.

One of the main drivers was to be integrated with my windows phone, but really it does a great job giving data to the phone that then uploads to my windows account to view in more detail. The other was to monitor my heart rate. HR monitoring is not stored all day, but if I go for a walk I turn on the run mode and get the data for that activity. The GPS works great. Overall, the band stores a lot of data before needing to Bluetooth upload to the phone. It just isn't very flexible on the wrist, but maybe that's a trade off for making it more durable. VERY TRUE that you must get the ZAAG protector. It fits great and prevents it from easily getting scratched. The screens were out of stock, so it took a couple days in that time watching closely I still got a couple. Worked out great that the ZAAG masked these scratches. Sleep monitor seems decent, but doesn't always know the difference between laying still and light sleep. It took me awhile to notice the different ways to get data from the band as sometimes the screen swipes top to bottom. Also just very happy that there's a decent HR/sports band that will work with the MS phones. Too much tech out there omits the winphones in support.
