First one that I purchased had a faulty charger that didnt work and the laptop wouldnt start up. I ended up purchasing it again and the laptop worked for 2 days before it would turn off automatically. In the 2 days it worked the laptop was great. Its very sleek and lightweight. Maybe I just encountered 2 faulty laptops but I was very disappointed.

I opted for the Intel Core i5 (Yes, I am paying the Intel tax and Ryzen has gotten better). Before you think about buying this laptop, please answer, What am I getting for the price? You don't have thunderbolts or extra ports, ram is 8GB and non-upgradable. The product finishing isn't amazing, nor is the battery in real-world usage. I absolutely regret getting it and I predict, this product is going to fail, just like the surface buds.

No longer covered under the warranty (purchase protection plan)

5-Star Appearance with 1-Star Durability

I'm a Lenovo ThinkPad fan but she wanted to go with a Surface. She really likes the stylish appearance but the Surface series is clearly not durable. The first Surface Laptop 3 we purchased lasted her for the first three years of college. The backlight went out on the monitor and this occurred just after the extended warranty had expired. The second surface Laptop 3 got her through the last year of college before it began not recharging. We took it to the Geek Squad and they sent it to Microsoft for repairs/replacement and then we never got it back. This second Surface Laptop disappeared somewhere within the Geek Squad/UPS/Microsoft logistics network. Best Buy would only issue us a merchandise credit for the lost laptop (and that's another story) so we used the credit for a new Surface Laptop 4. Hopefully the third time will be the charm - last chance Best Buy! And, our daughter will be buying her next computer!
